“Nail in my hand, From my creator, You gave me life, Now show me how to live.”
Like the song that titled this story, six boys struggled to find the purpose of their life. They were born under a bad sign but Fate had mercy on them; so she weaves their lives together. Stranded alone in the cruel world, they grabbed onto the first thing that gives them a reason to live and hold on tight to the end.
(Author's note: it's not as angsty as it sounds, really. cause i cant read nor write angst. just some drama.)
Hello, I’m a new user here in AsianFF.
I usually read and post in LJ, under same username, but then I fell in love with BAP and I found that fanfics here in AsianFF was updated faster and regularly. Well, most of them are. It’s hard to keep track of the fanfics when I didn’t have an account here, so now I finally made one.
Anyways, I’m trying to write this fanfic on BAP. I have had the plot for years, seriously. But when I tried to write it, it didn’t really fit with the group that I tried on years ago. And then BAP came around and it was like godsend. Because they fit so well with my plot, I’m starting to think that they debuted for my fic. LOL jk. XD
And maybe I should warn you guys that I'm a slow writer (eventhough i complain about faster updates >_<) so please be warned that I'll be...well, slow with my updates. I hope you enjoy this fic. =)

Show Me How to Live
“Nail in my hand,
From my creator,
You gave me life,
Now show me how to live.”
He had been running for a while now, he could feel his legs’ muscle protesting as they slowed down gradually. He looked back on the path he had ran on and estimated that he had put an ample distance between him and his pursuers. He saw the familiar old coffee shop up ahead and jogged over.
The gap between the old shop houses was barely noticeable with the amount of junk that has been piled there. It also served as camouflage for the entrance that leads into a small unused space, a little bigger than a wardrobe. Unless one knew what they’re looking for, the place was practically invisible.
He found this spot a few weeks ago when he was trying to hide, like what he’s trying to do now as he stayed inconspicuous and casually slipped inside. The place was now officially his; his hideout, his lair, his home; and he quickly shook his head when the vision of what used to be home came to mind.
That’s not home anymore. What makes it home is Mom. And Mom’s dead now, he berated himself.
He kicked away some of the loose pieces of timber as he reached his makeshift bed of old blankets when suddenly a figure from the dark corner jumped out and tackled him down. How did they find this place? He panicked as he struggled with the attacker. But then he realized that the person who was trying to shove his face down was small, almost smaller than him.
He flipped them around, managed to pin the other on the wall and got a glance at a pretty looking boy that looked around his age before he was shoved back into the dark corner. A hand on his mouth muffled his “What the fuck?!” and was followed by a hiss near his ear, “Shut up and stop struggling!”
He decided that whoever this kid is, chances of him being an accomplice of the pursuers were slim, so he nodded back firmly. The boy got off and crouched against the wall next to him. “Pull your legs in, would you? Your feet could be seen from out there,” insisted the boy.
“No, it won’t,” he bit back.
“How do you know? If I’m caught because of you, I’ll come back and kick your ass.”
“Cause I’ve been here for weeks now, asshole, and I’m the one gonna beat the shit out of you if they found me.”
“Oh. This place is yours? It’s pretty neat. Is it against the law or something?”
“No, idiot, this is my hideout. I’m on the run.”
“Well that makes two of us,” the boy remarked nonchalantly.
“Don’t loop me in your shit. I’ve enough of my own,” he growled back.
“And what’s that? What are you running away from?”
He stared at the boy incredulously. The hell…do I know you dude?
“Oh, come on. I could be here for a while, might as well make acquaintance. I’m Kim Himchan.”
“I’m…,” he hesitated, “I’m Bang Yongguk.” he nodded at the boy.
“Hmm. Do you…have another name I can call you with?”
“What?” the question took him by surprised.
“You sound sad,” the boy, Himchan, looked away, “like when I remember how my mum used to call me Channie.”
Yongguk nodded slowly at nothing in particular; and just like that they both knew a little something of each other. They had both lost their beloved mother.
“I do have two names, actually.” Yongguk explained, feeling more at ease with the strange boy.
“Jepp Blackman. You can call me either, it’s fine.”
Once again Yongguk gave Himchan an incredulous look but nodded anyway, feeling like he just can’t get around this boy.
“Right. So, nice to meet you Yongguk aka Jepp. How old are you? I just turn ten last month.” Himchan grinned.
“I’m older by a month.”
“Nice! We’re same age friend then.”
Yongguk just nodded again and they came to a silent until Himchan broke it.
“So, really…what are you running away from?”
He bristled at the repeated question. There were some things you just don’t say to strangers.
“Don’t you have a mansion to back to? Daddy’ll be worried if you’re home late.”
Immediately he felt bad when Himchan flinched at the mention of his parent. Because he himself knew what would make a kid flinched at the mention of the one of two person they were supposed to love and trust. Probably got the same shit with his dad too. God…I’m an asshole.
“Would you let me stay here with you?” Himchan said in a small voice.
Yongguk regarded the other boy for a few seconds.
“No. You’re gonna bring me trouble. And you don’t belong on the street.”
“You don’t know that.” Himchan pouted. Yongguk raised an eyebrow.
“You wear nice clothes and you talk in that book proper ways. People will come looking for you.”
Himchan looked thoroughly dejected that Yongguk once again felt bad.
“You can come visit though, if you want.”
“Really? You mean it?” Himchan was almost radiating with happiness from the simple gesture.
“Just…don’t let other people know of this place.” Yongguk smiled.
“Okay.” Himchan beamed back at him.
