Jessica Jung and Lee Donghae have been childhood best friends since they were 5 years old. Jessica had a crush on donghae ever since they met also Donghae had a small crush on her when they met. When Jessica was 14, her house caught on fire and burned down with her parents in it. The next day Jessica was leaving to America with her brother Yunho (age 17 at the time) to go live with their aunt but before they left Jessica got up extra early to tell Donghae how she feels but when she went to see him, he was with Im Yoona. Jessica felt heartbroken and ran home crying. 

Now 3 years have past and, Jessica and Yunho with their Aunt move back to Seoul because their Aunt became the CEO of the Jung company when their grandpa died. Jessica attends Seoul highschool and sees her childhood best friend also she sees her american best friend, Tiffany who she meant when she attended school in America. Jessica and Donghae start catching up with each other after those 3 years.
