Chanyeol is a novelist who works as a waiter. Baekhyun is a singer who has a fancy office job and earns a lot of money. They live together to help Chanyeol pay the rent, and of course, they’re just friends. Chanyeol gets stuck on his novel and Baekhyun suggests that they experiment around to help him gain inspiration and motivation to write. Chanyeol agrees.

Chanyeol’s novel is about friends with benefits.

BUT YEAH SRSLY MAAAANNNNN i think theres something to be said about this fic being like 4 years old and still being a nice read.... hahahah like tbh i dont know how to express it so if you dont understand its okay, but like in this day and era of exo i read this and i still enjoy it. so nice
the pace went faster than i thought it would, like if this was slow build it would have given me much more intense emotions. but as it is i really super liked it and it made me feel a lot of emotions too. i feel like baekhyun was the one who fell in love first. thats how i saw it!!!!! ill tell you i almost got mad at baek bec at first i felt like he was staying with baek for benefits, for convenience, and like, yeah..... but then hes the one who initiated actually talking about what they were in the end, the one that asked. I WAS SCARED THAT THEY WOULD ACTUALLY STOP ALL OF A SUDDEN BECAUSE THE NOVEL WAS FINISHED AND BAEK WAS JUST REALLY GOOD AT ACTING AND YEOL WAS JUST REALLY GOOD AT ADJUSTING. then i realized what a silly thing it was to think because for sure they were in love even though the first night they had was out of drunken stupor. still. the fact that after that night they only got more comfortable with each other instead of being all awkward and avoiding each other means that it was more than just inebriation.

ps my fave scene of this entire fic was when baek came home really tired and was dazed and yeol in his apron helped him with his coat and baek kissed yeol on the cheek. MAN IMAGINE IF IT WAS A KISS ON THE KISS MAN THAT WOULD HAVE HIT ME RIGHT IN THE FEELS
