Foreword
Prologue
“Black, black heart,” She whispered, and turned to look at me tragically, “Is that the colour of your heart, Tiffany?”
I clenched my fists, and sighed tiredly. “….Would you like me to say ‘I’m sorry’ then? Isn’t it too late to say these…?” I had drawn my cards, and my death, along with it.
Her head was down, her gaze, unreadable. She had her hands tied to the chair, like a wanted prisoner, almost. Despite all that, she still managed to look deadly. Her pristine white clothes were blood splattered. They were tainted by her very own blood. Finally, she looked up from her sitting position to look at me with piercing eyes. Her lips curled up lightly, a trail of blood at the edge of her lips. Silence. A smile appeared at the edge of her lips, finally, she said slowly, “I’m sorry….Is that what you think I would like to hear?”
Her thin smile was without mirth. Her eyes were piercing. They pierced right through me.
1, 2 – silence. I counted the seconds slowly and looked at her, my gaze, itself unwavering. My eyes shifted to look at the trail of blood on the floor.
Hers.
Silence, finally she stood up slowly, her hands were untied. I tilted my head to look at her silently, I should have be surprised, but was barely taken aback, really. I knew her efficiency like the back of my hands. She paced around me like a predator, a lethal predator. A devil, reincarnated, death trailed around her like her slave.
1, 2 – patience.
She was dangerous, like an unsuppressed type of raw energy, unbounded. She was unstoppable. And I know, I was treading on thin ice.
1, 2 - It seems as though my heart was beating slowly against my chest.
Really, I saw this coming, didn’t I?
My hands were cold, freezing numb, almost, yet all I could do was to gaze patiently at her. My face, itself, was a frozen mask. She smiled and took out a gun, looking as though she would like to shoot me.
Instead, she pointed the gun at the person behind me.
“Did you ever love me?” She asked slowly, her gaze were fixed on me, while the gun was aiming at another behind me.
The person behind me smiled and said, "I win." She said, holding her gun that was aimed at the person in front of me. Taeyeon.
I looked at the one before me, 'Did you ever love me?' the words were in my head, and my eyes went downwards. Taeyeon nodded, understanding my gestures perfectly, and fired the shot, just as someone I loved shouted, “No!”

“Remember that, if you hurt the people that I care about, Taeyeon… I’ll hate you.”
I saw blood, even before I could feel anything.
We were in the hospital. She dropped to her knees in front of me, “I’m sorry.” She looked defeated. I glanced down at her, my emotions - incapacitated.
“Does it matter now?” I looked at her, tilting my head slightly, my heart was cold, dead, actually.
“I’m sorry, what do you want me to do…? I’ll do anything, so long as you forgive me…” her knees were down, she tugged at my hands.
“….Please?” She begged.
I smiled and then looked down at her, shaking my head. “You would do anything?”
She looked at me, nodding her head.
Right. “Easy. I want Kim Taeyeon to disappear from my life…, forever,” I said, closing the hospital door on her.
It wasn’t the first.
“Remember that, if you hurt the people that I care about, Taeyeon… I’ll hate you.”
