Chapter 17

You left Kai lying there and ran out into the hall. Baekhyun was walking away from the room.

"Baekhyun!" You yelled and ran towards him.

He turned around.

"Yeah?" He asked, and you sighed.

"I-it wasn't what you thought..." You didn't really know how to explain what had happened, because you didn't know yourself.

He smiled at you, but it didn't quite reach his eyes.

"It's okay, I left because I didn't want to ruin the moment," He said politely.

"But there was no moment! I don't know what Kai was thinking, it was really nothing. We just couldn't sleep, and so Kai took me here. Seriously, there's nothing between us," Your eyes begged him to believe you. Baekhyun smiled fully now.

"I believe you."

You sighed with relief. "Thanks Baek~" You sang, and he just smiled.

-Kai's POV-

I couldn't stop starring at her. She looked so beautiful. She turned towards me.

"What?" She asked, and I couldn't help myself. I moved closer, and leaned in. She seemed frozen, so I leaned in further. Her eyes darted to the doorway and she sat up, my lips hanging in mid-air, never reaching hers.

"Baekhyun!" She called, and chased after him. Towards him, away from me.

I went to the door and listened to their conversation.

She denied everything, there's nothing between us. In a way I knew this, but I had hoped for something, anything. But this confirmed it; there's nothing between us. I'm just some guy that she wastes time with when she can't sleep. That's it.

-No One's POV-

Kai proudly walked out into the hallway like nothing had happened.

"What, is this a reunion? Let's get moving," He stated and headed for the door. You and Baekhyun followed him.

"Ah, I almost forgot, I brought chocolate," Baekhyun took a box out from behind his back.

You glanced at it, it was vanilla cream filled-your favorite.

"Wahhh thank you Baekhyun! This is my favorite flavor! YOU'RE MY BESTEST FRIEND EVER!" You grabbed the box happily.

Baekhyun cringed. 'Friend.'

Kai alike scoffed inwardly. 'Aren't they so great together?'

You all continued to walk towards the apartment and you felt Baekhyun's hand slipped into yours in a friendly manner-or so you thought. You didn't think much of it and swung his hand back and forth as you walked.

'Why had I been so resistant to Kai holding my hand? Oh yeah, that's because I don't like him...'

You soon reached the dorm, and went to sleep. The next morning you woke up to Se Hun knocking on your door nervously.

'Ahhh he's so cute!'

You smiled and opened the door.

"Annyeong Se Hun-ah!" You gave him a quick hug before heading to the bathroom. He froze as his cheeks turned a distinct shade of red. He slapped his face and wandered into the kitchen aimlessly.

You soon joined the boys in the kitchen, and you grabbed some toast to eat before heading out the door with Baekhyun. You shared small-talk before heading into the recording room again.

"Soo, do you want to rap? We could keep it EXO style, as you'll be dancing to 'History,' or you could rap something else. Oh! Have you ever written anything?? That would be cool!" Baekhyun grinned at you.

"Well sort of... But it's just lyrics. Maybe you could help me make it a song? Oh!" Your eyes lit up.

"What?" He asked excitedly.

"Will you... Do you... Do you want to do a duet with me? I could rap, and you could sing-it would be the opposite of most people, because usually the guy raps and the sings. It would be different," You asked timidly. He grinned at you.

"Of course! That'd be so cool! Will you show me the lyrics?" He agreed and you smiled back.

"They're at home, sorry."

"Okay. We'll just work on rapping again."

After a fun morning of rapping and playing around with Baekhyun, it was time to go to dance training. You walked into the room, and Kai was stretching on the floor. He glanced up at you, and his face was very cold.

"You know when you don't smile you look kind of cold," You joked with a smile. He just looked at you, his emotion unchanging.

"You wouldn't know. What song are you going to dance to?" He mono-tone words surprised you, and also stung.

"I'm composing one with Baekhyun. But we haven't finished yet," You replied, and searched his eyes for emotion. Nothing.

"Okay. Show me history and I'll make adjustments." He turned on the CD player, and you started dancing. You worked really hard, trying to get some emotion out of him.

Once you were finished, he stared at you.

"It's fine. Since we already did fitness last night-" He paused as an emotion you couldn't detect flashed through his eyes, "-you can just go home."

He started to walk out of the room, when you finally spoke.

"Are you okay?" You asked him.

"Sure."

With that he walked out of the room to leave you confused as ever.

Nonetheless, you headed home, and you were greeted with an empty house. You had had to call Taemin to tell you the code, but luckily he wasn't busy. You decided that you would make a gigantic feast for the boys after a long day. You called Taemin again to make sure that they were coming home for dinner, and after informing you that they were, you set out to work. You worked for three hours straight, making delicious food. Taemin had told you that they would be picking up EXO and then heading home and would be home around 6. Right now, it was 5:45.

You set the table and made it look like it was a five star restaurant. Once satisfied, you warmed up the food and set it out on the table just as you heard people coming into the house. Loud laughter reached your ears and you rushed into the living room.

"Annyeong! I have a surprise for you all, so close your eyes and then come into the kitchen," You were greeted with shocked faces, but everyone eventually did as you told them to. You led them into the kitchen, and told them to open their eyes. They're hungry mouths dropped in awe.

Sitting on the table was an immense amount of Kalbi, Bul Gogi, Kimchi, Kim Bap, Bi Bim Bap, Kimchi Chige, and many others.

"Surprised?" You asked, and giggled at their faces.

"Well, sit down!" You gestured at the table, and everyone sat down and dug in.

"Oh my god, _____, this is sooo good," D.O. complemented you with his mouth full. Everyone else nodded in agreement and kept eating. You had made enough food to last you at least 2 weeks, but after about 30 minutes of silent eating, every plate was cleaned.

"Ahh I'm so full. Thank you so much!" Key told you as he leaned back in his chair rubbing his belly.

"_____-ah, you are so amazing for doing this!" Someone piped up from the end of the table.

"Haha it was nothing," You replied, smiling at him.

"No I'm serious," He replied, "I would marry you for this. You pretty, nice, can cook well..."

A blush crept up the boy's cheeks. He sucked in a deep breath.

"_____, will you go out with me?"

{A/N: Okay, so now there's rumor that Baekhyun might be in the drama!! Idk what's true, I guess we'll have to watch the drama to find out. Did any of you see the teaser??
