Description

It's SHINee's Almighty Diva's birthday! Only...it seems the rest of the SHINee members have forgotten. They only have three hours until Key returns to the dorm from his schedules. Will they have enough time to prepare their last minute birthday party for him? Unfortunatley, as they are franticlly preparing for the birthday party, Karma decides to get them back and ruin everything. Cakes explode, Taemin gets wrapped in streamers, Onew condition strikes once more, and Jonghyun has a near death encounter with a spatula. 

Foreword

Onew’s eyes suddenly widened and he raced over to the calendar at the side of the fridge.

“What’s the date?” He asked suddenly.

Taemin frowned, concerned as to why Onew was suddenly acting so weird - even though it was expected of Onew to act weird sometimes.

“It’s the 23^rd…why? What’s wrong, hyung?”

Onew turned to him, his face paling.

“It’s Kibum’s birthday!”

Taemin’s eyes widened in surprise and he peered over at the calendar double-checked the date. His jaw dropped.

“I completely forgot!” SHINee’s maknae cried, ashamed at himself for forgetting Key’s birthday. How could he forget something so important!?

Onew hesitated, trying to figure out what to do, tapping his foot nervously on the flooring as he chewed on his lip.

“He’s got schedules right?”

Taemin nodded.

“He said he’d be back at around three. He was going to go grocery shopping, then he had a photo shoot to go to with Jessica-noona afterwards…”

Onew’s lips pushed forward in a pout.

“That doesn’t give us a lot of time but…I think we can make it.” His eyes squeezed shut and his thumb and pointer finger pinching the bridge of his nose as he thought. “Where are Jonghyun and Minho? We’re going to need their help.”

“Hyung, really, what’s so important about today? I’m watching the game!”

Taemin slowly made his way over to the couch, glad that a commercial had come on so Minho and Jjong would focus on Onew.

Even though he didn’t look it, Onew had a quick temper.

“Just…think about it. It’s the 23^rd of September.”

Jonghyun and Minho thought for a long time, trying to figure out what was so special, when Jonghyun’s eyes widened in horror.

“Oh my god!” He screamed, immediately leaping up from the couch.

Onew nodded. “See?”

“What…?” Minho asked, staring at all of them in confusion. “Really? What’s so special-“

“It’s Key’s birthday!” Taemin finally felt he had to butt into the conversation, appalled that all of them had forgotten it was Key’s birthday. Minho paled a fraction of a shade.

“Are you serious!? How could we forget!?” 

Jonghyun slapped his hand to his forehead and shook his head. “We’re doomed!”
