Foreword

“Yan Mei, are you working tonight?” Yi Xing, or better off known as Lay, asked. “Mm, I’m working tonight, why?” Yan Mei asked back. “Oh, nothing at all. I was just wondering, because Xiumin is having a movie night, and wondered if you wanted to join,” Lay answered.

“So you and Lu Han are only going?” Yan Mei asked, as she unlocked her bike off the bike rack. “Well, Xiumin invited the basketball captain Kris Wu Fan,” Lay teased, as he poked Yan Mei’s cheek.

“Quit it, I don’t like him,” Yan Mei said, as she brushed off Lay’s hand. “Oh come on, Yan Mei. We all know that you like him,” Lay said, and Yan Mei scoffed. “Oh yeah? Prove it,” she replied.

Lay smiled at his friend, and then crosses his arms. He turned his head around, and saw Kris walking out with the basketball crew, looking like he’s discussing basketball matters with them.

“Hey Kris!” Lay shouted at the tall guy, and waved. Yan Mei’s eyes opened widely in shock, as she saw that Lay was getting Kris’ attention. Kris searched and saw Lay calling to him, and waved back, as he jogged towards Lay.

“Sup man?” Kris said, as he and Lay shook hands. “Oh hey, I want you to meet my friend Yan Mei,” Lay quickly said, as he turned around to see Yan Mei pedaling off already.

“Jiang Yan Mei! Hey!” Lay shouted at her. “I will kill you for this, Lay,” Yan Mei muttered angrily under her breath, as she can feel her heart pounding endlessly.

It was not because she was tired of pedaling; her heart was thumping for Kris.
