                    “That was a nice performance, girls.”

                    The show ended a while back, and Manager Im found the right time to approach them. Their heads turned to him.

                    “Oh! Annyeonghaseyo!” Sora beamed before elbowing the confused Min lightly, “He’s the MC from yesterday. Remember? We met him backstage.”

                    “Oh… Hi.”

                    “Hi, Pegasus,” he greeted.

                    “You came to watch us?” Julianne asked, excited.

                    “Yes! It was brilliant! What is Love was also great! How about I bring you girls to meet the owner of that song?”

                    Fiona perked up at the question, Julianne laughed like it was a joke, and the rest just stood there, totally lost.

                    “Why? I’m not joking, girls,” he exclaimed.

                    “Who’s the owner of that song?” Min asked bluntly. He turned to her, dumbfounded.

                    “You’re joking, right?”

                    “I’m not joking either.”

                    Fiona swiftly turned her head to Min before shooting a dead glare. If this man wasn’t joking, this woman was to be blamed for letting the chance of meeting her bias slip away.

                    “Mister…”

                    “I-Im. Im Hyunkyun. My name is Im Hyunkyun.”

                    “Hyunkyun-ssi,” Kimberly called, “How about you wait for us to clean up and we can sit and talk somewhere… if you were going to talk about serious business with us?”

                    “Oh, yes, Kimberly-ssi,” he replied, to her surprise. How did he know her name?

                    “Do you think hyung will do well?” Suho slouched in his seat while groaning. Obviously, his answer to his own question was a ‘no’. They were made to wait in the van, and it’s been quite a while now.

                    “I don’t know, but if it doesn’t work, he can always send me instead,” D.O murmured, but Suho gave him a weird look.

                    “Since when was our Kyungsoo so full of himself?”

                    D.O just laughed.

                    There was an awkward silence round the table inside the empty ramyun shop. Pegasus and Manager Im were the only ones eating, or should we say, staring at their food. Manager Im cleared his throat.

                    “Yes, Hyunkyun-ssi?”

                    “Oh, Kimberly-ssi, and everyone, call me Manager Im. I’m EXO-K’s manager,” he said while nodding firmly to the girls.

                    Julianne raised her voice, “So you’re really really serious about this, Hyunk- I mean, Manager Im?”

                    “What do you mean?” The leader nudged the girl, but Fiona was the one to reply.

                    “EXO-K is a boy band, the original artist of the song ‘What is Love’ we just performed, and this person is saying that he’s their personal manager… if it was true,” she gazed back at him who suddenly put two hands in the air like an innocent person accused of crime.

                    “It’s true! Here’s my name card. I don’t give it out often, but please keep it.”

                    “Im Hyunkyun… Artist Manager… SM Entertainment…”

                    “Yes. I’m so sorry I cannot give you any better proof. We don’t put the name of the artists we manage in the card because we usually manage more than one.”

                    “Who else do you manage?” Fiona questioned.

                    “I used to manage f(x)-”

                    “Do you manage H.O.T too? Kangta oppa?!” Julianne beamed, earning a scared face from him.

                    “N-No… They’re older than me, Julianne-ssi.”

                    Min suddenly spoke up in English, annoyed, “Can we get to the point now?”

                    “Y-Yes,” Manager Im started, “Umm… As I said before, I’m here to offer you the opportunity to meet EXO-K in person. However, from the look of it, not all of you know EXO-K, and you seem uninterested…” he trailed off, waiting for a reaction.

                    “You could say that. I myself don’t know who they are, so I’m not interested. Min also doesn’t know, Wendy doesn’t know, and Sora,” Kimberly paused to look at the girl, who also replied with a ‘no’, “Sora also doesn’t know.”

                    “But please don’t get us wrong,” Sora added, “We’re a music band, so we listen to certain types of music. Lucky enough we know FT Island, Trax, or CN Blue,” she giggled.

                    “FT- what?!” Min mouthed silently, earning a light elbow from Sora.

                    “Ah… I understand now. I thought it’s around your age to be listening to K-Pop,” the manager replied, “As expected, you girls are different and special.”

                    He continued, “So, let me put this straight, I’m not asking you to just meet EXO-K in person, but to work with them,” their ears perked up at the words, “Are you interested now?”

                    “What kind of work, manager-ssi?”

                    “Oh… Lots of work to do, girls. Singing, playing music, dancing,… acting…”

                    “…”

                    “‘Be EXO-K’s main girls’ is what we call it among the staff in the company.”
