Chapter 3

pinkspades: New chapter! Yay :) What do you think about the girls? Read on and leave some comments to vote on who should be the main guy and who should be the main girl! Biased answers accepted ;) Hurry before I make my bias the main guy. By the way, I think Kimberly will be the main girl. It's hard to write six girls to appear equally.

                    Fiona led the team onto the stage with a wide smile. Applause, cheering, and whispers could be heard from the crowd. They surely had quite some popularity as a street band that performed regularly every weekend. The noises got even louder from the ones who did not know them just because they all looked different and pretty.

                    Music started and the girls put their best effort into the performance. All of them, even Kimberly, had this confidence shown in their eyes. The crowd was stuck in awe.

                    Every member had their own solo part. Kimberly’s part was in the middle, not the first or the last since she claimed herself to be the one most likely to screw up. When she stepped to the front, a group of boys actually called out her name, so she shifted her gaze towards them in order to see who they were, but to no luck it was too dark.

                    Sehun and Chanyeol had their eyes glued to the girls, especially Kimberly. Sehun wanted to follow the voice of those boys also, but he was too focused on the dance. They weren’t the best dancers, but he could tell they were quite interesting. He abruptly stood up after Kimberly’s solo and left the theater. No point wasting my time here. They’ve found what they were looking for already.

                    “What the heck is wrong with that guy?” Chanyeol complained to himself. He went back to paying attention to the performance. Soon later when it ended, he only felt the urge to see Kimberly again. He made sure to memorize their team name in his mind.

                    “Finally.”

                    Kimberly let out a sigh while wiping the sweat that streamed down her face and neck. Julianne suddenly gave her a big hug.

                    “Kimmy! You did REALLY well on your solo. I almost screwed up looking at you!” She squealed.

                    “Really? It wasn’t bad?”

                    “No, not at all!” Sora added in.

                    “Thanks guys,” she smiled, “I’m gonna go to the bathroom for a minute.” They all nodded.

                    On the way out of the bathroom, she bumped into someone’s shoulder. The person startled and looked down while mumbling a “sorry” to her. He took a quick glance at her before turning to her fully, surprised by who she was.

                    “Kim!” D.O exclaimed. She turned back at the voice.

                    “Oh! Kyungsoo!”

                    “Hey! Oh my god. It’s you…”

                    “Hey. Umm… How did you…?” Kimberly carefully asked, not knowing how or where to start the conversation with her high school friend. It’s been a while since she last met him.

                    “Shh,” he shushed her before continuing, “I watched the competition. We were the ones who called your name! I didn’t know you dance.”

                    She looked away, slightly embarrassed, and asked, “We?”

                    “You know, I came with Minsoo, Jason, Chihoon, and the others. Oh! Zack came too! Remember him?”

                    “Zack! The fat guy with glasses?” She giggled. Those were all good friends of hers. To be honest, D.O was probably the one she was the least close to. He was absent in classes most of the time, and they said he was a ‘special’ student.

                    “Uh-oh. Zack isn’t fat anymore. He’s a cool geek now.” They both laughed. But before the conversation could go on, D.O cut her with a sorry smile.

                    “Look, Kim. I have to go now. I can’t get caught like this because I might drag you into trouble too. See you soon!” With a wink, he disappeared into the crowd, leaving her there, dumbfounded.

                    Get caught? So he’s actually the troublesome kid who always skipped school like what I thought back then? He doesn’t look like one…

                    Later that night, it turned out that Pegasus won second place at the competition. They lost to the old champion from last year, which was totally reasonable. The girls still couldn’t even believe they were in the top three, and now they were having their little party with the money they received.

                    “Samsung kept thanking us for joining. They were happy to get us on the newspaper article about tonight,” Julianne laughed.

                    “Yeah…” Sora agreed.

                    “Do you think they’ll contact us for future jobs?”

                    “Like what?”

                    “Like… endorsing their products and stuff. Maybe? I don’t know.”

                    “I can get us jobs from them, if you want,” Fiona offered, but Julianne shrugged it off.

                    “Nah… It’s okay, Fiona. We should play hard to get. We’re not desperate for money.”

                    They all laughed along, until Kimberly’s phone rang. Wendy made a surprised face.

                    “Samsung’s calling.” They all laughed harder.

                    Kimberly shushed the girls and carefully greeted the person calling with an unknown number, “Yeoboseyo?”

                    “Oh, annyeonghaseyo, Kimberly-ssi?”
