Chapter 5 : Work

Hyungseok already waiting for you outside your class. You packed your thing in your bag and went towards him.

"Hey, oppa."

"Hey, you done yet?"

You nodded your head. He smiled while tucking your hair behind your ear. "Where should we go after this? How about we eat an ice-cream?"

"Mianhae oppa, but I can't. I need to go to work." you frowned.

"Work? Since when you work, Hye Min. Why don't you tell me?"

"I..I will start today, oppa. You know that I really need to work if I want to continue my study. I couldn't depend on my scholarship."

"I could---"

"No! I know what are you going to say and my answer is no. I don't want to be your burden." you said with firm.

"But Hye Min--"

"My answer is still no, oppa. Look I already late. I'll see you tomorrow, neh. Bye, oppa."

Without waiting his reply, you ran out of your school and went to your workplace. Lucky for you, when you arrived there, the owner of the place just opens the shop.

"Annyeong, ahjumah. I'm sorry because I'm late." you bowed to her.

"It's alright, Hye Min. I just nearly open the shop."

"I'll go get change first."

You go inside changing room and change into your uniform.

You went to the counter and starting your first day as a cashier at a convenience store. You spend half of your day by working. You hit your shoulder and stretching your muscle.

"I am exhausted. I have homework to complete." you pouted. The owner of the shop went towards you. "You may go now, Hye Min. I will close the shop." she smiled.

"Neh, ahjumah."

You are changing back to your cloth and going out of the shop. "I'll see you tomorrow, ahjumah." you are waving your hand to her. You walked alone to your house. It's already night, you don't want to waste your time anymore. You ran back to your house.

Not long after that, you arrive safely to your house. You insert the card and push the door open. You throw your bag on the couch and headed to the kitchen.

You take out a glass of juice to drink. "I need to do this. After all, this is the only way I could get a money. You can do it, Hye Min. Aja-aja Fighting!"

You wash the glass and going inside the bathroom, taking a shower. You let the cold water run through over your stiffened muscle. "I felt so refreshed."

You are going out of the bathroom and wearing your pyjamas. Your stomach grumbled. I forget that I don't eat for dinner, yet.

You open the shelf and only seeing a pack of ramen." I guess I only eat ramen for today." you mumbled. You are boiling a hot water and pour it into the ramen's cup. While waiting for the ramen to cook, you finish your homework, first.

You eat ramen while you do your homework. You glanced at the the clock. It's already 11.oo p.m. Wow, I spend a lot time just to finish this math homework.

You save your things and your book in your bag before you go to bed. You switch off the light. You look at the outside of the window.  "Goodnight, mom. Good night dad." You said before you go to the dreamland.
