Foreword
It was this time of the year that our paths crossed.
It was the first fall of snow.
I can’t believe that we would actually reach a year together.
I glanced repeatedly at my watch, but only discreetly, wanting time to go faster. I never thought I would actually yearn for the school bell to ring. And when it did, I was the first one out of the classroom, heading to the place where she is.
My lips curved into a smile as my fingers closed in on the apple that was in my bag. Her room was unnaturally quiet and I opened the door carefully, my eyes locked to the fruit I was holding.
“Dara-yah, I’m here.”
I looked up and the smile on my face faded when I saw her.
