filled with romance, suspense, and adventure! And of course, starring the boys of EXO.

Note: There are a lot of ships in this story, but don't worry, most of the main ones will be supported! (especially, HUNHAN)

This is a rather long story. But I encourage you to just sit back, enjoy, and take your own sweet time reading it.
Don't rush through it - my goal was to provide a novel-like work for all of the EXO members.
 

This was my first attempt at fiction writing.
I hope you like reading it as much as I liked writing it!

Foreword

There is a story that goes like this, and has been told for generations.




Once upon a time, when empires and kingdoms were just forming,

an angel descended onto the earth.
This angel was no ordinary angel – it was the Creator’s favorite angel,

pure at heart and innocent, and exceptionally beautiful.


The angel was sent to warn a king that tonight, he would lose his nation.



He walked calmly past the sleeping guards and the multitudes of soldiers –

it was as if the entire palace had been put to rest, and in the silence

not a single soul knew of the angel’s presence.

But, as he was about to open the door of the king,

a young man with a solemn presence and equally beautiful features stopped him.

The man was the prince, and saw right through the holy being.

Completely amazed, the angel froze and stared at the prince.

In a blink of an eye, the angel had fallen in love with the beautiful and unusual man,

and did not warn the king of his impending doom.





“Young Prince, I am speechless. In the centuries I’ve lived, not a single soul has ever seen me.

What shall I do for you?”



The prince, also awestruck by the glowing deity, spoke,

“Angel, I ask for nothing. Please save my father and my kingdom for as long as I live. Nothing would grant me more happiness.”


The angel, admiring the prince’s selflessness, nodded, and replied,

“Tonight, in the cloak of the night’s blackness, another nation will come to destroy your father’s.

The guards will not see the dark clothed enemies.

But, for this one night, I will make the moon out of solid gold.

This moon will grant the kingdom great blessings, and no harm shall come upon it.”


The Prince began to cry tears and joy and thanked the angel profusely.

But the angel was not done.


“In return, young Prince… I ask you one favor.

Please be with me forever,



for I have fallen in love with you.”


The prince could not turn down the request.

Hesitantly, he agreed.

In that instant, the moon began to swell and shone a magnificent golden color.

The king awoke and looked out his window and saw ten thousand enemies suddenly collapse in front of his palace.


The entire kingdom rejoiced for the golden moon,

and for the angel’s blessings.


But the prince had disappeared forever, never returning.

The king was utterly dismayed and refused to have any more children,

despite having a prosperous nation thanks to the angel’s blessing.



It is said that the angel and the prince had a child in heaven,

but upon seeing the father-in-law in despair,

sent down the child for the king.


The child was divine and lovelier,

and brought great peace to the nation and his father.


The angel and the prince look fondly upon the nation,

and whenever a threat loomed,

the golden moon would appear,

a symbol of their protection and eternal love.
