It was a bright Saturday morning and a very rare scene in the Kim mansion’s enormous backyard – the little heir Jong-In commanded butler Kang to clean the mansion’s basketball outdoor court and began practicing shooting. He wasn’t really fond of basketball but since his older brother ‘like’ Kris-hyung is very fond of the sport, and he was also very fond being with him he tries his best to learn the sport. it has been three months since the last time he have seen him - he surely misses the older lad.

‘’Kris-hyung’s going to be here this afternoon right butler Kang?’’ he tried to shoot a hoop but It was kind of short. He’s still bad making three point shots and he wanted to perfect it – as flawless as his Kris-hyung’s three point shot,

‘’Yes, young master, he’ll be exactly here at 5pm.’’

‘’I haven’t seen him for three months already. Can’t he stay here permanently Head Butler Kang? ‘’ he asked panting, as he let another short shot once more, ‘’…I need to be a great three pointer this afternoon, so he’ll will enjoy playing with me here, and we will SURELY stay longer!’’ the young lad was already sweating hard, but was unstoppable. He has been practicing non-stop the moment he got up from his bed. He have already changed into sweat pants and shirt, but it was too obvious that he just came from bed and went straight to the court since he was still wearing his bedroom slippers.

The head butler chuckled silently as he looked at the young heir’s feet.

His much waited afternoon came; he was impatiently waiting on their grandiose mansion’s entrance wanting to be the very first person to greet Kris once he arrives.

The young heir has not failed. He was really the first person to greet Kris the moment he stepped out from the black executive car.

The older lad welcomed him and immediately held his small hands as they walk their way inside the mansion.

While walking their way to the mansion’s guest’s lounge, he noticed that the younger lad’s hand was unusually warmer. He then knelt down and damped the back of his hand to the little one’s forehead. ‘’Jong-In, I think you have a fever. You should go to bed earlier this evening.’’

‘’But I thought we are going to play basketball before dinner?’’

‘’…But you have a fever, we can play tomorrow.’’ He pated the younger lad’s head. ‘’We’ll play once you get better.’’

‘’Look I’m still walking straight.’’ Jong-In even leaped high to let the older lad see that he’s completely fine. ‘’We can play. I’m already a good three pointer Kris-hyung!’’

‘’No, you are going to bed early this evening.’’ Kris uttered firmly.

Little Jong-In was completely upset with the older lad’s unshaken decision. He felt that his effort to practice shooting three points was all put into waste since they will not be able to play together after all.

The little lad burst into tears and whined, ‘’Even though I don’t like basketball that much since Kris-hyung likes it, I practiced hard so you will not get bored playing with me!’’

‘’I said we will play tomorrow once you get better.’’ Kris cupped the face of the little lad trying to make him sober.

‘’Liar! I might not see you the next morning, because you like to stay in Qingdao more!’’

‘’It’s because Kris-hyung has to, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t want to play with you anymore.’’

‘’Then let’s play ball.’’ The little lad insisted once again.

‘’No. we’ll play tomorrow.’’

Kris’ last statement really got into the little heir’s nerves so he ran away from him up to the grand stairs of the enormous Kim mansion.

He ran as fast as he could but the stairs were seemingly endless. He kept running and running, and it was odd that the mansion eventually has no room but just field with staircases. Then he have seen a door half open, he ran into it assuming that it was the door leading to his own room. He did not looked carefully and just rushed in. Instead of his room, it led him into a bottomless pit, I was dark, and he cannot feel his feet touching the ground.

He cried out Kris’ name out loud, ‘’Kris-hyung!’’

 The pit was seemingly endless, that he just closed his eyes and tried to accept his end. Until he felt someone’s arms wrapped around him.

Seemingly protecting him.

THUD!

He felt thick liquids splat on his face, and then he slowly opened his eyes one by one, and saw metal thorns around him. 

He was feeling heavy, but the weight put over his body was warm and comforting. It’s like someone has rescued him from death.

Eventually, a gush of crimson got started falling onto his face. It was warm though he suddenly felt horrible as he slowly shift his body to look back from where the crimson colored liquid was coming from.

Then he saw his Kris-hyung, still hugging him but lifeless.

This isn’t real, this isn’t real!

It was already midnight and all of the people who are at the hospital room were soundly sleeping when Joo Hyun was awoken. And though the lights were dim, she was able to see how oddly her husband moves from his bed so she slowly crept out from her bed and went to her husband’s side to check him.

He was asleep but his face a obviously struggling, cold sweat were all over his face. He was experiencing a nightmare. ‘’Kris-hyung…’’ he mumbled.

She held his face with her free hand, and whispered to his ear, ‘’Jong-In, wake up. It’s just a dream.’’

‘’Kris-hyung.’’ This time he started crying.

‘’Wake up Jong-In!’’ she uttered in a normal tone this time as she started tapping his cheeks. She kept repeating the phrase until her husband opened his eyes.

The heir immediately embraced his wife as terror was evident in his eyes, he kept sobbing like a little child, ‘’Kris-hyung….Kris-hyung can’t be dead!’’

She slightly retreated backward and cupped his face, ‘’Of course, you Wu Fan-hyung is still alive Jong-in, you just had a nightmare.’’

Then he looked at their dim surrounding and saw that they were in a hospital. He recalled that he was guarding his wife who was in comatose when he encountered Yi Xing but got defeated when he attempted to fight against him.

Seeing that the person who comforted him was his wife whose life was endangered because of him he sighed in relief. He leaned his forehead towards hers. ‘’Thank goodness you’re awake. I’ve been becoming more and more impatient each day.’’ Then he remembered that he made a huge mistake to her and his manner of complaining won’t be appropriate considering his current stance to their relationship. ‘’I’m sorry Joo Hyun. I’ve cause you this.’’

Though she was obviously worrying about the latter, she has to make him feel distant as a punishment to what he has caused her. He made him wait for too long the moment she needed him the most, and the moment they’ve met each other again, he chose to be with Soo Jung instead of her.

She then completely emancipated herself from the latter’s grip and talked about their stolen children instead, ‘’Yi Xing…he got my twins.’’

The heir’s eyes were in terror, he knew that he should have fought harder the time he encountered the serene gentleman again, ‘’He kidnapped our twins?’’

She briefly nodded her head, ‘’I want to go out from here to look for my children myself. But these people here won’t let me.’’

She might sound insane to others, but she’s the mother of the lost Kim twins and she can’t be blamed for that fact.

Jong-In removed the thick white sheets covering his body, and stood up from his bed. ‘’No, you stay here. I’ll let them know that I’m okay, and we’ll start doing the search.’’

‘’They’ve been doing the search for almost four days already.’’

The heir even felt more awful, he has been lying in the hospital bed useless for almost four days and their twins were kidnapped. What? I’ve been that useless father for that long?  He then removed the needle connecting to his IV line and paced out of the door.

‘’Jong-In!’’

Yoona, Tiffany and Chanyeol who were staying with them got up the moment they heard the milady called the heir’s name and the heavy bang of the door. They’ve seen Seohyun sitting in the heir’s bed looking at the half-opened door.

The three got astonished finding that the heir has finally awoken.

‘’Where’s Jong-In?’’ Tiffany asked as she squint her eyes.

‘’He just got out of the room.’’ Seohyun replied.

Chanyeol was really frustrated, that they have to deal with the same level of stubbornness of the couple. He rubbed the back of his nape, stood up and got the wheel chair on the adjacent side of the heir’s bed. ‘’Yoong-noona, can you hand the Hyun-noona’s dextrose on the flag top?’’

Without a word, the doe-eyed girl hanged the milady’s dextrose to the wheel chair’s flag top.

The milady looked at Chanyeol and Yoona quizzically.

‘’Hey what are you doing? Hop in.’’ the animated gentleman uttered obviously irritated to the situation.

‘’What are – ‘’

‘’…Obviously to chase your husband…and to rescue your children.’’ The doe-eyed girl did not even let the milady finish her question and replied flatly.

She then sat on her wheelchair and the four of them followed Jong-In.

Mean while, inside Soo Jung’s room Wu fan was widely awake as he watched the heiress sleeping soundly. He cannot pull himself to doze off even for a second as he anxiously waits for Lay’s call. He had been calling the same unknown number which Lay used but the serene gentleman did not answer his calls even once. He keeps on thinking about the twins, and what’s the most proper thing to do once he met with his younger brother at the given time he was instructed to do so.

Soo Jung wiggled her body as she sleeps and got his attention. From the seat he was sitting adjacent to her bed, he stood up, and sat on the space beside her and started looking carefully at every detail of the latter’s face.

At first it was completely odd to watch her sleep, he’s being a total creep for doing so but there’s something that keeps on drawing him to her.

You always act tough and you even take down men with your sharp wit, but I never thought that you look so adorable like a child when you sleep. He smiled at the thought seeing ho innocent looking the heiress could be the complete opposite of her strong image when she’s awake.

He moved closer to her face as he got more curious about her. It was not the first time he watched a girl sleeping since he often does it to Seohyun especially when she was having the hardest time during her pregnancy. But it was the very first time he watched a girl without a heavy heart, without thinking that he’s been getting someone’s loved one like a thief.

Then he remembered the time he piggy back her. That was also the very first time he carried someone like that, it was not Seohyun. He chuckled at the thought, still watching her close. The heiress is way younger than him but the weird blissful feeling is always getting into him once they are together.

He’s not experiencing butterflies inside his stomach, or experiencing a heart skip like the way he always feels with Seohyun. It’s more like a comfortable and a happy feeling despite how complicated his situation may be. Possibly it’s not romantic since he has always looked at her as a younger sibling.

 Then the heiress switched her position a bit that her pointed nose slightly touched with his, and with that he felt frozen. He felt the latter’s warm breath touching his smooth skin of his handsome face.

His heart started to beat in a faster pace. It was odd since he is aware that only Seohyun could cause him such feeling, but now in front of Soo Jung he is experiencing it quite more intense. Then he slowly diverted his attention to her eyes that were still close, and subconsciously down to her lips.

Her lips weren’t plump and are thin compared to the usual girls complementing her sharp gaze whenever she stares at someone. He often calls her a brat because she has never acted demurely like Joo Hyun – his ideal girl. But nevertheless, the younger girl has this innocent look whenever she’s asleep. For one second his mind has been blank and he planted a soft kiss to her nose a gentle kiss on her lips.

His eyes widened with the gesture he had made. He even froze when he have seen that the heiress eyes were wide open in shock.

Hell, he has never dared to kiss his first love. But he mindlessly kissed Soo Jung.

The latter wanted to shout, but she’s got a lump stuck in all of a sudden.

Then someone opened the white lights of heiress’ bedroom.

‘’What’s this?’’ a familiar low voice broke out. The five of them have silently watching them for moment already.

Wu Fan and Soo Jung looked at the direction from where the voice was coming from. And by the room’s entrance they saw Jong-In, Joo Hyun, Chanyeol, Yoona and Tiffany all eyes on them.

Soo Jung immediately sat on her bed as her attention was fixed to Jong-In who was in the center of the people who were watching them. She nervously fixed her hair running by running her fingers ready to explain herself, ‘’Yah, I don’t know what he’s doing!’’

Awestruck to the mysterious gentleman’s act, Seohyun gave the mysterious gentleman a questioning look.  It was a little too inappropriate to feel jealousy but she got used to him to be treated as the most important person in his life. And now it’s making sense why he’s been getting closer and closer to the heiress each day. ‘’Wu Fan-oppa?’’

Then Chanyeol broke out, ‘’…So the rumors are true?’’ then he looked at the doe-eyed girl and the fashion designer who were both on his side and let out a giddy laugh.

‘’Seriously, you don’t have to hide anything guys.’’ Tiffany flashed her infamous eye smile as she began laughing like the animated gentleman.

The heir aimed to look at Soo Jung’s direction, then to his older brother. ‘’I think we came in a wrong time.’’ Then he switched off the hospital room’s white light once again and pushed his wife’s wheelchair this time.

While they were walking, Joo Hyun flashed a weary look to Jong-In.

The latter understood what she meant by her gaze. He understood that it was quite uneasy for her to see Wu Fan with another girl.  He casually asked, ‘’It was off wasn’t it?’’

Though he got what she really feels accurately, it’s improper to show how awkward she really felt from the scene. The one who’s talking to her isn’t just a guy, he is her husband.

‘’Aniyo.’’

‘’Admit it, you’ve never lied to me with your eyes.’’

She looked down, and eventually admitted it with a nod.

‘’I can’t blame you Joo Hyun. He never left your side while I’m all gone.’’

‘’How about you?’’ Joo Hyun briefly asked him back.

‘’It was also off, but I think Soo Jung suits him more than Me.’’ then he suddenly stopped and wrapped his arms around her. ‘’…and I swear that I will only love my family, and I will only look at one girl from now on.’’

‘’Joo Hyun! Jong-In!’’ somebody called their attention from a short distance. It was Wu Fan.

Both of them looked at his direction and saw him walking towards their direction.

‘’Why Hyung?’’

‘’About the twins…’’ he panted.

‘’What about my twins?’’ Joo Hyun asked.

He bent forward to meet the milady’s eye level and spoke, ‘’Lay told me to meet him personally this day in Suwon. He wanted me to get my niece and nephew on my own. I think it has something to do with me. So please, don’t do anything harsh and entrust me everything with this one.’’

‘’Hyung, they are my children. Let me go with you!’’

‘’No, he thinks that I’ve gone a little too overboard since he have seen some of my men hunting him down. I’m afraid that he might cause harm to the children if I’m not going to follow his instructions.’’

‘’So it’s like a hostage?’’ Seohyun fearfully exclaimed. ‘’Those are my kids, I-I can’t let you do this alone. I can’t just stay here without doing anything!’’

 ‘’That’s why it’s better to submit in whatever he’s going to instruct me. Plus it is I that he wanted to face, and I think he did this all because he is up to something concerning me.’’ He stood up and then faced his brother this time. ‘’Whatever happens, you take care of your wife!’’ then he took a medium sized pink envelop with something in it. ‘’…and whatever happens, please look after Soo jung for me.’’

 Then he left.

The heir briefly stared at the pink envelop that his older brother has just gave him. He cannot explain why he suddenly felt heavy hearted.

Why do I feel so bad about it?
