Seohyun merely slept late studying her lessons and as she read a part of the former Milady Kim's diary. As much as she wanted to read it all at once, it seems that it was fated for it to be read by her bit-by-bit so that she could process every detail of the milady's past inquiries and avoid jumping from conclusions to conclusions.

Thus, what she was able to read two important inquiries about Wu Fan and about Milady Kim's family.

April 12, 1995,

Yesterday, I was not able hold my tears as Wu Fan needed to go back to China since Lord Wu of the Wu household wanted his grandson to grow up under his care. Though, I’m really having a bad feeling about that old master because he calls Yunho as an irresponsible father towards his eldest, and was even throwing wrath to our family by giving his hateful view of our marriage on media people. I understand his anger, but I cannot contemplate on how ruthless he is. I doubt how Wu Fan will grow up properly under his care, that child is also precious to me, I’ve took care of him for few months before giving birth to my Jong-In, I consider him as my own and it really pains me to see him go away. All I wish is for him to grow up well, and I want to meet him someday and I'm hoping that he will still remember me.

“So, Wu Fan-oppa was taken away by his grand father Lord Wu?” she muttered to herself as she scanned the diary from pages to pages until she found another important inquiry.

November 27, 1995,

I simply cannot understand why all these things are happening to us. I just got a call from my parents in Seoul, they said they were threatened two days ago and that they would move back to Jeonju because they’re afraid of it that they would be killed and told me that I would be killed if I'm not going to divorce with Yunho, and that I should withdraw from being the milady of Kims household, go away together with my son, Jong-In.

It pains me that my parents' lives were also at stake because of me. But I also have my own family now, and being with my husband and son is my life already.

I should definitely not feel threatened with things like this, I am Milady Kim of this household and my son Jong-In has his right to be with his father even if he's technically his second son. I should be courageous to protect my child. God, he’s just about to turn two.

I don't hold a grudge towards Wu Fan because that poor child doesn't know anything. And if the situation is getting more and more dangerous for my son because of the sole heir position, I really won't mind if he gets it or not, it depends on Yunho's decision to whomever he wanted to pass his title. If he chooses Wu Fan, it's not really going to be a big deal for me and I will be happy for him as much as I will be happy if Jong-In would become the sole heir I came to love that child as my own since . The only people that I hate is Wu Fan's grandfather Lord Wu, I think he's too greedy though I see that he is angry because Lady Wu took suicide because of knowing that Yunho and I are married, but I think he is too abusive to make use of the poor child's opportunity to also benefit with the inheritance.

I really don't mind if Jong-In's going to grow up as a commoner, but as a mother I would choose what's best for my son and what my son really deserves. My poor Jong-In is already involve in such kind of situation and I fear that something bad might happen to him.

'So, it's probably Wu Fan-oppa's grandfather who caused Milady Taeyon's death.' she concluded, and contemplated if she was going to tell it to her husband or not since Wu Fan is involved again in the situation. She was worried that Jong-In might misunderstand again, and grew more furious towards the mysterious gentleman when this time; they slowly manage to get along little-by-little as much as the mysterious gentleman wanted to.

She then kept the diary inside her backpack used for her hospital shifts so that Jong-In would not find it somewhere else. 'I think I should better affirm this with Wu Fan-oppa, since he seemed to know a lot of information about the past.'

She was already lying in bed yet she still cannot manage to sleep for thinking about the the former milady Kim's diary.

'But what is he really up to here? Wu Fan-oppa is the Wu family's heir, right? Could it be possible that he's really up to Jong-In's inheritance as well?' she contemplated, rather doubting about Wu Fan's real purpose of staying in the Kim' mansion.

When Jong-In woke up, he immediately went inside his former bed room where his wife occupies now. He has seen dark circles around her eyes and she seems to have slept for only few hours.

'I bet she doesn't sleep on time again. She's always scolding me to sleep on time and she's not doing it herself? How could her cells regenerate?' he thought as he sat next to her.

He bent down and whispered to her ear, "Joo Hyun-ah, I'll get going now. You sleep more, okay?"

Even if she looks tired, and there were dark circles around her eyes at that time. She never failed to draw his eyes on her - she's beautiful as ever.

He looked at her lips that were slightly agape, he laughed at the idea that even she's prim and proper when awake she could also be careless when sleeping. But the idea of kissing her went on his wild imagination again.

He almost gulped all the liquids inside his mouth as he contemplated if he was going to steal another kiss or not.

'If I'm gonna steal another kiss like in London I might get karma for it. I better wait, Jong-In patience is a virtue.' he reminded himself, too stupid of not thinking that another person could steal a kiss from her again.

He then kissed her cheek and shrugged his thought. "Joo Hyun, I trust you. I'll be your second until your last kiss right? I'll trust you always from now on." he softly mumbled to his wife who was still in a deep slumber.

"Head Butler Kang, don't wake up Milady Kim this morning, let her sleep more. I think she really slept late." the heir instructed the head Butler as he walks his way towards the entrance hall of the mansion.

"As you wish Young Master, but she has an examination young master."

"It's still scheduled around 2 in the afternoon, make her sleep the whole morning." he diverted his gaze on his car coming on his way.

"And yes, may I have a moment with you Head Butler Kang." he called the old butler's attention once more.

"What is it young master?" he was presuming that it was something important.

"I knew what you did. Tiffany-noona just told it about me." he briefly answered in a rather serious tone making the butler all anxious about his life.

"A-about that young master...the pictures. I-I deeply apologize for my intruding." the old butler stuttered in fear as if his life was shortened for another ten years,

"Exactly, and I don't know what kind of punishment I'm going to give you." he tapped the old butler's shoulder sending the latter shivers,” I think I should fire you then."

"P-please Young Master… as much as I love being the butler of this household, I-I came to love Kim family as well." the poor old butler pleaded.

Jong-In laughed at the latter hard. "...rather I should be thanking you Head Butler Ho Dong."

The poor butler sighed in relief that the heir bought him, though he did not expect that the heir would be thankful for the ruckus he did in the past.

It was almost ten in the morning, two hours later that her usual hospitals shift, when the milady woke up that she scolded herself for not waking up on time for her shifting schedule.

She rushed inside the bathroom then took a bath in a flash, wore her scrub suite uniform without even fixing herself. She did not have a time to care about her appearance for she was already late and it was her individual practical examination day.

"Butler Kang why didn't you wake me up?" she asked whining as she combs her hair while walking down the mansion's staircase.

"Young Master told me that I should not wake you up milady."

"Butler Kang, have a good sense of judgment at times. You know Jong-In a lot, he will not always let me have short hours of sleep and makes me a delinquent person with my own schedule." she argued, as she is the ever punctual Seohyun herself.

"I deeply apologize for that Milady Kim. However, I might get the curse of your husband. I guess you know his ways." the old butler apologized with evident fear towards the heir.

"That's just his ways Butler Kang, but you know he cannot withstand his wife easily"

The old butler smiled upon hearing those from the milady. Aware that the young master is quite pain in the neck to everyone in the mansion, but appears to be submissive towards his other half.

"I'm sorry again Milady, but young master told me to you at SNUH when it's already afternoon...exactly the time for your examination." the old butler apologized but was giggling seeing the milady's other side.

"What's the problem Butler Kang? Do you really want to cut you stay here in the mansion?" she threatened the old butler.

"Of-of course not milady, I-I deeply apologize I'm just following the orders of your husband." his life span has shorten once again that day.

"...kidding." she laughed hard upon seeing to poor butler's epic facial reaction.

Without a doubt, they're husband-and-wife, they may be totally different people but their ways as days and nights being together goes by makes their ways so much alike.

Since she could not go to Seoul National University Hospital at that time she decided to go back their room and get the former milady's diary then went to her Wu Fan-oppa inside the mansion's library.

The mysterious gentleman was in his dreamland laying his head on top his desk surrounded by Series of Unfortunate Events books.

'Wu Fan-oppa's cute side… but he's really a book worm, finishing four books of that series in one night? He only left three to read.' she thought approaching the mysterious gentleman.

She gently poked the mysterious gentleman's cheek attempting to wake him up with such act but failed since the latter seems to be in a deep slumber. 'Hey you bookworm, how could you lecture me to always sleep early when here you are in the library reading nonstop and sleeping late?'

She then bent forward and took a closer look of the mysterious gentleman's face. His skin is really milky white, smoother than of a typical skin of a man that it glows like hers, his dyed blonde hair that was usually brushed up that was down during that particular moment complements his handsome face even more than when he is awake with his primly brushed up.

'Oppa, you're really cute you know?' she giggled poking his cheek once again. But she thought once again, ‘I’m supposed to ask him really important.’

The mysterious gentleman then surprisingly woke up from his slumber and accidentally pecked the milady near her lips, the latter then screeched.

He was completely awakened with her almost dolphin screech, “I-I’m sorry Joo Hyun, I was not aware that you’re there…” he apologized stammering.

“Even so you should not have done that Wu Fan-oppa!” she whined.

“I, I am really sorry…I deeply apologize Milady Kim.” he could not even address the latter casually. “But you’re supposed to be in the hospital, right? What are you doing here at this hour?”

“Me?” she finally gained her senses from being shocked and answered. “I – I have something important to ask you Wu Fan-oppa.” She held the diary tighter.

Wu Fan noticed how Seohyun gripped on the diary she was holding, and immediately thought that the milady was going to ask him something connected about the past. "What is it Joo Hyun?"

The milady was hesitant, doubting that the latter might deny or tell her lies, but then she would gain nothing if she's going to be reluctant.

She began, "Wu Fan-oppa, it's something about you...about you and Jong-In's past. Perhaps it's time for you to tell me every bit of what you know."

The mysterious gentleman's instinct was right, but considering that he's all caught up on both sides he doesn't really know how to start. He wanted to protect the heir and the milady, but he also has to protect his grandfather Lord Wu. Thus, he cannot tell every bit of what he knows to protect the other side.

"What do you want to know then Milady?" he asked hiding all the tense building up inside him, he cannot even address the latter casually because of this.

"Wu Fan-oppa..." she paused a she contemplated the most appropriate words to construct the most appropriate question she should ask. It took her a lot of guts to ask, "You...you were able to live with the former milady, right?"

"Yes, though I can only remember few memories living with her." he knew that the latter was going to ask another question.

"...but what really made your mind to come all the way here all of a sudden?" she was really feeling all tensed up as her doubt to the latter increases. "I mean, you came here all of a sudden, when Jong-In married me, and we all know for the fact that sooner the sole heir title will be passed to him."

“Conceivably you’re thinking that I went back because you think that I am after the sole heir title, am I right? Is that what you wanted to ask me Joo Hyun?” he was straightforward to the latter.

Though she does not have any intention to hurt the latter it was the exact thing she really wanted to know from him. “Well, Y-yes Wu Fan-oppa.”

“I knew it by just looking at your expression Joo Hyun. I understand you.” He paused. “Even other people would think the same if they were in your place, knowing my real identity and my true relationship with the heir…I will not be forcing you to believe me, but if it’s regarding the sole heir title I’ll let it slide for my brother. I’ve accepted my fate long ago.”

Her doubt and her other side that wanted to believe the latter was battling inside her. Of course humans, who have little side of greed by nature, could lie but then she could only give the latter the benefit of the doubt.

“I – I’ll believe you in that Wu Fan-oppa.” She was rather hesitant with her own words.

“You’re really the worst person I know when it comes to lying Joo Hyun, I cannot blame you for that.” Those words are the safest he could ever tell to the latter. Though his intentions were sincere, the fact that he’s covering up to the one who really wanted the sole heir position for him still made him a liar. It covering up for someone is counted as a lie, though it’s a white lie for everybody’s sake.

“What is that you are holding anyway?” he asked the obvious to the latter trying to lighten up the tension building up between them. He knew it was still connected to their topic but it was the best way for him to subtle the uneasiness of the latter to him.

“Ah, this?” she showed the diary to the mysterious gentleman, “It’s the former milady Kim’s diary Wu Fan-oppa.”

“So you’ve been reading that, that’s why you know the things of our past?”

“Y-Yes oppa.”

“Can we read that together then?” he was courageous even when he perceived that the diary contains something against his being.

“S-sure.”

Both of them did not know what further secrets that the memoir would unveil them.
