Paint

Sighing, I flipped through my math book, but it slipped off my desk making a huge thud on the ground. Some girls shrieked from the sudden noise and everyone turned to me. I gave them a 'sorry' smile and picked it up. Some guys laughed and the others glared at me.

Whispers flooded the room. 

"She should join the circus."

"Man! That was too funny."

"A natural-born comedian."

"Whenever I go to school, I can't wait to laugh at her."

And the worst...

"Attention-lover."

I gripped the edges of my desk to keep from screaming out and with all the self-control I could muster, I turned my head away and tried to listen to what the teacher was saying.

Even the teacher was glaring at me.

*UGH.*

*Oh no, oh no! I'm going to be late for English!*

I kept my textbooks and folders close to my body and maneuvered around the students. Of course, this hallway had to be the busiest during passing period and the ONLY way to my English class.

I ducked under a tall jock's arm and sighed in relief that I didn't get hurt yet. 

Someone's shoulder was about to hit mine, but I turned away in time.

I quickly push through and was about to make it in the classroom when the crowd pushed me.

I bumped into an art student, holding a can of paint. Before I knew it, the red cool paint was splashed on the ends of my hair and were clumped together.

*WHY IS IT ALWAYS ME?*

I tried to get rid of it, but the paint only smeared on my hands and made it worse.

I was about to head to the bathroom when the art student charged at me and I fell down, making more of the paint land on my legs. Now my skin was covered with red.

*This just isn't a good day for me.*

Some kids laughed as they passed and no one helped me up. Not even the art student. He fled back to the art room to get more paint.

I sighed and  wanted to cry.

Really  wanted to cry.

The bell rang and the crowd soon dispersed and less and less people went away, while I sat there on the ground.

Wiping a single tear off my face, I was about to get up when a hand was shown in front of my face.

"Want some help?"

I looked up and there they were...

Oh. My. Gee.
