CHAPTER 2: Spell TROUBLE

No one’s P.O.V

The twelve boys closed their eyes, holding on for their dear life, as the car sped down the street.

“Jang Dongwoo! Stop this car now.” Sunggyu shouted as he clasped his chest, trying to catch his breath. Dongwoo didn’t seem to hear Sunggyu and continued driving heartily- even beating the red light, making the boys bumped each other.

“YAH! Hamster guy, do something about your dongsaeng.” Doojoon commanded. He was gripping his seat tightly.

“Mwo?! I swear I’ll rip your head off if you don’t stop calling me hamster, barnacle face!” Sunggyu warned and just as he aimed a kick at Doojoon, the engine sudden curbed to the side making him strike Sungjong instead.

“Hyung! That hurts.” Sungjong whined, rubbing his left shank.

“Where’s manager hyung?!” Woohyun said exasperatedly, pushing Yoseob’s face away from him.

“Watch it!” Yoseob gnarled.

“I’m trying to contact Jiyoung-ssi but he’s not answering his phone.” Junhyung complained as he was fumbling his phone.

“He’s with us a while ago!” Dongwoon reasoned out.

They were about to say something else when the car halted to a stop, knocking them off their feet. The twelve boys hurriedly went out of the car and breathed out a sigh of relief for still being alive.

Hoya and Sungyeol rushed towards the driver’s seat and dragged Dongwoo’s beaming figure.

“Are you trying to kills us hyung?!” Sungyeol said heatedly, casting Dongwoo an evil glare.

“Am not. The ride’s fun right?” Dongwoo replied naively.

“F-fun?! Are you the one being funny here hyung?” Hoya snickered. Dongwoo raised his arms in defeat and sheepishly scratched his head. He muttered, “I enjoyed myself. Why won’t they?”

“Who told you to drive and where the hell did you bring us?” demanded Doojoon as he ambled in Dongwoo’s direction. Other pairs of eyes bored through Dongwoo’s and he let out a nervous laugh and stated, “While you’re all busy bickering at each other, manager hyung called me and instructed me to transport us all here.”

“I’m telling the truth!”  Dongwoo bleated when he caught sight of the other boys giving him dubious looks.

“He’s telling the truth.”  A voice suddenly appeared out of nowhere and as the twelve boys spun around, they saw the familiar outlines of the man dressed in green sweat shirt and the man wearing round glasses.

“Hyung!” they chorused.

“I know. I know.” Replied the man clad in green sweatshirt. “Jiyoung-ssi and I will further explain the details regarding your living together but first things first, let’s get your luggage inside. Follow us.”

INFINITE and BEAST trailed behind silently and their eyes popped wide open when they caught sight of the grandeur gate in front of them.

“Come in.” Jiyoung-ssi, the man wearing round glasses, said and couldn’t help but to laugh at the boys’ reaction.

“We’re living here hyung?” Hyunseung inquired mouth agape. Jiyoung-ssi nodded and motioned for them to go inside as the man dressed in green sweatshirt slid some transparent card above the lock of the gate, unbolting the door.

INFINITE and BEAST pored over the mansion animatedly and gawked at its interior. They roamed around eagerly, giggling and touching whatever caught their eyes.

“You might want to put those bags of yours inside before sight-seeing?” Jiyoung-ssi teased. The boys agreed and chirped excitedly as they headed inside.

“It’s beautiful here, ne hyung?” Dongwoon said to Gi Kwang who was busy gaping at the rainbow-colored chandeliers hung on the ceiling.  Gi Kwang nodded at him and pointed at the huge LED screen propped on the crimson wall.

Woohyun and Sungyeol imitated Miss A’s Touch that was playing at the wide VDT.

“Eew.” Myungsoo groaned at his hyungs.

Junhyung rolled his eyes at the two and continued walking.

Glass-paneled blockades stretched down before them, turning to a shade of violet and orange when the light hit it. The boys followed their managers and as they trudged the corridor, they were amazed to find out that the glass barricades lead them to the living room. Their chatters and squeals stopped as they looked at the five girls sitting idly at the sofa. A girl with long straight brunette hair was sitting at the left side of the sofa, staring blankly at the lozenge-shaped effigy on the wall. To her right, a brown-haired girl was busy talking to someone at the phone and next to her was the figure of the sleeping girl who had a thick-bounded book covering her face. The Japanese looking girl to her right was eyeing INFINITE and BEAST silently and her lips curved into a smile as she saw their stunned faces. Lastly, at the right side of the sofa, a black-haired girl was busy playing at her tablet.

“Who are they hyung?” Hoya managed to ask. Their manager cast them a meaningful smile and replied, “They’re your housemates. They’ll be living with you.” INFINITE and BEAST stood frozen on where they was, unable to say something. They stared at the five figures in front of them who seemed to spell TROUBLE.
