Droplets of red liquid filled the entire water in small basin, placed in a comfy hospital bed in University’s Infirmary. Beside are a medicine kit and some cotton wool places in the side too. Some used cottons were now red as the operation is going on.

Usually, the place is filled with dead silence at lunch break time. But ever since the incident earlier, the room was filled with mumbles and murmurs coming from the nurses and some other staff from the University.

Some students were filling the doorway too, keeping it noisier while the operation is being done inside.

But, it would’ve been silent if a doctor is doing the operation—instead; a nursing freshmen student is doing it.

 

Hara who did it was now in a detention.

 

“Careful, will you. It hurts.”

 

“Yah! Just stay still.”

 

“How can I stay—“

 

/slap.

 

“AHHH!!!! DOCTOR BRINGS THIS NURSE OUT!!!”

 

/slap.

 

/slap.

 

“Argh! I’m telling you, if you… Ah… “ the voice suddenly lowers.

 

“Aish! Seriously!!! If you keep on moving, it’ll be infected.”

 

Heavy breaths… and more heavy breaths…

 

“Aigoo… I should’ve called Doctor Kim.” The voice is getting lower and lower.

 

“Phew!”

 

“Done?” much lower. No more energy probably.

 

“Not yet.”

 

Wail….

 

“It really hurts… Please… you’re killing me.”

 

Another heavy breath and…

 

“Done.”

An arching eyebrow was seen from all students outside after hearing the freshmen’s announcement. The door from the infirmary suddenly opens.

 

“It was a succesl. Mr. Im is now safe, so there’s no need to worry.” A nurse greeted all the students with an announcement, regarding their president’s condition.

 

Students begin leaving the place after hearing the good news.

Sigh.

 

“Do you know that it’s quite deep cut?” Seohyun angrily said, giggling to slap again the shirtless doe-eyed guy. The cut was under his neck in his back, keeping the latter to wince slightly in pain if he moves.

 

“Miss Seo… here’s the tablets.” A real nurse entered the operation room and hand the younger girl with the medicine for the doe-eyed guy to take.

 

Seohyun took the medicines and poured a glass of water.

 

The doe-eyed guy is currently sitting in a hospital bed and was dazedly watching her personal nurse, pouring water for him. He has no energy anymore and would constantly just heave more breaths.

 

“It’s your fault.” Seohyun glares, giving the latter a glass of water and two tablets. “You’re like a kid.” She scolded. "You have been stabbed once and you are acting like this... as if it's just game?" she question. Her concerned to the doe-eyed guy can't put any place. It's just too much how the latter block his body to save her. "Yoong, I don't get why you should block yourself. You should've just dodge Hara's advancement by grabbing her wrist or something. That chance, no one got hurt." She burst out. Her frustrations and concerned mixed.

 

"I'm sorry... if I tried to save you." The doe-eyed guy huskily said.

 

"You know what I can't understand? That reason." she paused and scoffs, holding her tears to drops. "Is hurting yourself... an excuse to save me? That reason is stupid." she strongly believes.

 

"Then I'm stupid to love you?" Yoong slaps. 

 

Seohyun was stunned, not expecting that he will strikes back. She breathed heavily glares intensely to him. Those eyes, as if wants for comfort. But she doesn’t want to lose control.

Yeah, she herself is stupid for even loving him—enough said that she chooses to distance a little.

 

Sigh.

 

She flopped herself to the couch nearby. “Thank you… for saving me though.” she can only mutter, avoiding the topic of 'Love'. She's controlling her feelings with all her might. 

 

The doe-eyed guy only nods as he looks at the younger girl intently. No more words utter and let the silence deaf them for a while. The atmosphere is just too heavy that they can't cope with each other. Little did they know that both of them are longing for each other? A longing to comforts one another? A longing to be together, already?

 

After the dead silence, one of them decided to broke it.  

 

“Aish!” hissing, Seohyun stood again and rummage to the doe-eyed guy’s bag in his side. “Do you have any sleeveless?” she asked angrily, looking to his side. As a respond, Yoong nods.

 

“You—“

 

“Oppa~”

 

Rolling her eyes, Seohyun proceeds to rummage—avoiding Nicole’s gazes to her.

 

“Are you okay oppa?” Nicole asked worriedly.

 

“Can she see how Yoong is really so weak?” Seohyun mumbles while still pretending to rummage.

 

Nicole suddenly cupped Yoong’s face as she pouts towards the weak doe-eyed guy. “I was worrying like hell.” She dramatically said.

 

“Who’s more worried here?” Seohyun added hearing the words from her ex-best friend. “Argh! Lord, can I go out now?”

 

“Will I going to bring you—“

 

“NICOLE STOP!” Yoong suddenly outburst, she clenches and glares to the mushroomed girl. The latter’s treat on him was hurting him, the fact that he can see Seohyun slightly avoiding them if they talk. He can no longer take this, as if Nicole is his girlfriend or something.

 

Taken aback, Nicole steps back a little while Seohyun look at them in surprised.

 

“I’m sorry Oppa.” Nicole looks down.

 

sigh

 

“No I’m sorry… I was… uhmm… it wasn’t my intention to—screamed.” Yoong heaved a sighed and reaches for Nicole’s right arm to comfort her. The latter is dramatically crying in front of him, making him guilty with his sudden outburst.

 

Seohyun can’t help but to turn in her back and clenches tightly underneath. She’s boiling inside and wants to explode.

 

Later then, Yoong wipes the tears of Nicole and slightly smile to her. He turned to the country girl and noticed the latter’s continuous of mumbling?

 

“Hyunnie? Uh, are-are you okay?” he called.

 

Seohyun nods in respond and tried to reach for a tissue paper on the side. Nicole saw this and just arches her eyebrows.

 

“You sure?”

 

“Yup, don’t bother me.” Yoong arches his eyebrows too, noticing the low voice from the young brunette. He slowly jumps off from the bed and reach for the latter’s hand behind.

 

“Oppa? Uh… “

 

“Nicole, can you give us a moment?”

 

“But—“

 

“Please… “With that said, Nicole hesitantly leaved them. Jinwoon was about to enter the room too when he stops and proceeds to retract back his trance together with Nicole.

 

After living them, Yoong rummage on his sleeveless and wears it slowly. He winces a little but her manage to put it on. After doing so, he rummages for his uniform and slowly wears it too.

 

“I should go.” Seohyun quickly turned and attempted to leave but Yoong holds her wrist, stopping her. She turned back and fined the doe-eyed guy looking at her with weary eyes.

 

Their eyes met, but she quickly look away—hiding her slight wet eyes.

 

“Let’s go together.” Yoong said as he grabs his bag but only to scream in pain again.

 

Seohyun quickly reacted and grabs his bag instead. “I’ll just carry it instead.” She said before leading them out the room.

 

Nicole and Seohyun’s eyes meet in the door way. But it was only a quick.

 

Seohyun bows a little and walk pass to them.

“O-oppa… we still have to study for our exam later.” Nicole blocks, but the doe-eyed guy just gently pushed him aside and followed the younger girl.

 

Unfortunately for him, his body is yet that weak that he lost the younger girl. He heaved a sigh and proceeds to his best friend’s place—swimming pool.

Seohyun emerge herself behind a bush and gradually brushes off the small leaves here and there to her uniform. She witnessed as the doe-eyed guy u-turned on the way to the swimming pool.

 

Sigh.

 

She heaved a breath and finally had calmed herself down. If she wasn’t that fast to walk, she would’ve been captured already and would probably lose control with her feelings. Turning on her back, she drags her feet lifelessly towards the lobby of the said University. She decided not to interfere any of her friends about her problems anymore and want some alone time. She wants to fight back, but she didn't expect that it’ll be that hard. That it’ll be hurting her.

 

In her way, she still can manage to give a smile her professors here and there. For her entire freshmen, a lot of professors were slowly recognizing her skills, and her intellectuality. From singing, to acting and… modeling? She assumes she is good enough with this though.

 

She smile to some staffs of the University after she flopped herself to a couch in the lobby. She was about to reach a magazine when she noticed the shoulder bag of the doe-eyed guy in her right arm. This made her chuckle to herself and instantly slapped her forehead physically for not noticing it. “Aish!” she hissed to feel a little pain after doing so.

 

Her mind was filled with their exam again—setting aside the doe-eyed guy. Earlier, she had passed two subjects and tomorrow will be another exam for about 3 subjects this time. She can’t help but to feel anxiety regarding on this. If she’s not going to pass this midterm exams, the final exam will be much difficult for her. It’ll be double time for sure.

 

Moving on, she decided to reach for the magazine in a coffee table.

 

Avoiding is not an option. Facing the truth is better.

 

She literally widened her eyes when she read the cover of it. “I’m not even avoiding. I’m just controlling myself… and… distancing myself a little?” she mumbles. “Tch… even things around.” she runs her fingers in her forehead, massaging it softly. “I know I can survive this. Just don’t let Nicole affects you.” She added as she closes her eyes and continuously run her fingers to her forehead, forming some circles in her forehead. “Aigoo… why so hard. I should’ve fought my feelings earlier but… aish!” she ruffled her hair, before she opens her eyes again but only to widened it once more.

 

In front of her is a guy, wearing a grinning face.

 

“Yu-Yunho Oppa?”

Upon arriving the gym, Yoong’s eyes scanned for his best friend. At times like this, he needs someone to release his thoughts. Even for the fact that he’s willing to wait, he can’t help but to feel worry with the younger girl. He’s not showing it, but deep inside, he’s hurting so much with the way she act in front of him. It worries him that sometimes, he wishes to be trapped again in an elevator with her.

 

After scanning the wide room, he spot his best friend, sitting at the edge of the swimming pool while having a good smile to his face.

 

“Hyung?” He called that catches Yul almost immediately. The latter flashes a smile to him and motions him to join him in his side.

 

Sitting beside, Yoong instantly hangs his two legs in the cold water. In between them is the tan guy’s laptop. He assumes, the latter is previewing his photo shoot earlier.

 

“What’s up?” Yul utters, not even looking to his best friend—busy with photoshop.

 

“Uh, just want to share something.”

 

“Hmm? Seobaby?”

 

Yoong nods. He heaved a sigh and look down to the water underneath. “Do you know that she changes?”

 

“Yup I know.” Yul replied nonchalantly.

 

Yoong snaps him a surprised look. “You-you… know? Aren’t you—“

 

“We’re indeed over but we still contact each other Yoong.” Yul grins, still can’t off his eyes in his laptop.

 

“So you know her problem?”

 

“Not literally, but she gives me more reason to stick with her. I’m telling you Yoong, if ever I’ll see her cry again? I won’t hesitate to snatch her again.” Yul warned, and finally setting aside his laptop. “Me and Jessica will be your number one enemy if you ever—“

 

“She’s the one who is being hard her. It’s too obvious and yet, she can still have the guts to act normal. To act like she’s not hurting? Nicole and her, she’s obviously fighting her best friend.” He groans in frustration.

 

“Fighting? For you? Wow, your hair is so long Yoong.”

 

Yoong gritted his teeth and glared to the tan guy. He’s not there to joke around.

 

“Did you even think that there might be a reason of it? Wait… is it just me or you’re in favor with Nicole?”

 

“I’m not.” Yoong defended. “I so hate her too. But… I can’t help to feel sorry at times. She’s… she seems really like me.”

 

“Tsk.. tsk… Yoong? You know what I do that kind of stuff? Don’t let your favorite girl start to think that you are losing your love for her.”

 

“But I just told her that I love her earlier though.” Yoong pouts.

 

“Words need actions Yoong. You know sometimes, be brilliant with this kind of stuffs too. You are like… “

 

“A kid?”

 

“Who says?”

 

“Joohyun.”

 

Yul laughs. It’s indeed true. “I agree with Seobaby.”

 

“Will you stop calling her Seobaby? It’s not fit.” Yoong demanded.

 

“Childish.”

 

“What?”

“Here”. Placing the three dishes in their table, Yunho sat across them and look at her sister with a worried face. “I really can’t believe that you haven’t eaten your lunch yet.” He sarcastically scolded, handing the younger utensils.

 

“Something just happened Oppa.” Seohyun stated as she smile and started to eat.

 

Sigh.

 

Yunho can only stare at his sister in concern. He knows exactly those stares. Those determined and at the same time, hurtful stares. He can see it clearly. He’s not his brother if he can’t spell those stares. Those meaningful stares. It’s just too relief that his sister is not affecting her studies, and instead, it gives the latter’s determination to strive hard with her studies. And it’s seems… it inspires her?

 

Stress? Yeah, he might call it for her sister. But it’s a good stress.

 

“You passed your exam earlier?” he asked, catching the younger girl’s attention.

 

Seohyun nods enthusiastically. “Yup! 2 subjects Oppa.”

 

“Wow! So you’re on the go.” Yunho said. “You are on the go for Finals?”

 

“There are still semi-finals Oppa.” Seohyun stated, reaching for a glass of juice in her right.

 

“But it’s easier than Finals. I know you can do it. You’re clever my sister.” Yunho pinches his siter’s nose, earning her cute pout towards him. “Aigoo… why are you so adorable huh? But at the same time, fierce.”

 

“Fierce? I am?” Seohyun innocently asked.

 

“Because you are fighting back. It’s good to know that my little sister had now grown up. Is this because of… “

 

“Yah! Oppa! Don’t ever mention his name.” Seohyun whined.

 

“Hehe sorry… Tch, I wonder how did you manage to like him? Is he—“ Yunho teases but her sister can’t really take him.

 

“Oppa!!! Please!!!”

 

He chuckles with his sister’s whinning. “Alright, just eat there. I won’t bother you now. I’ll go to the restroom first. Where is it?”

 

“On the right side Oppa.” Seohyun glares, Yunho just pat her head and proceeds to leave the cafeteria.

He was about to enter the rest room when he spotted this doe-eyed guy, assumes that this could be the Yoong-ssi his sister is telling him as he observes the look and the way he walks. Last time when this doe-eyed guy and this tan guy visits his sister, he didn’t manage to have a look this doe-eyed guy because of his works.

 

He decided to wait for the latter to stop in his tracks in front of him.

 

Yoong is apparently previewing something on his phone while he listens to it on his earpiece until he noticed in the corner of his eyes, this taller guy in his way that makes him stop not that close. He arch his eyebrows towards this stranger. “Excuse me?”

 

Yunho crosses his arms and steps forward. Yoong steps backward. “Uh, I’m sorry… but… can I pass? I was… uhmm… my body is aching and I can’t fight at the moment.” he shamelessly reasoned, stepping a lot backwards.

 

“You are… Yoong-ssi? Aren’t you?”

 

“De? Uh… y-yeah… why?” Yoong shakes with the cold voice. Is this guy going to eat him alive?

 

“I’m Yunho. Nice to meet you.” Yunho held out his hand for a shake.

 

Staring at that hand, Yoong hesitantly took the hand and shook it. Suddenly he winces when he felt the hold was tight. “Ah!” he escape a slight sound.

 

Smirking, Yunho let go and glares. “I’m Seo Yunho.”

 

“Eh?” with widened eyes, Yoong steps two backwards, suddenly felt frighten towards the masculine brother of the younger girl. “Uh… what are you doing here?” he manage to asked out of his nervousness.

 

“Just visiting my sister.” Yunho’s smirk was replaced by a poker face.

 

Yoong started to tremble. As if the latter will eat him, he wishes he didn’t stop earlier. “You know my sister is the precious girl we have in our family. And someone will just snap her from us. How did you manage that?”

 

“What?” Yoong exclaimed, surprised that even her brother knows about them. “Sir… Uh… I don’t know what you are saying.”

 

“Do you know how much she cares for you? Do you know how much she always defend you from me? I would’ve preferred FallenAngel, but she likes you more than him. How was that? Huh?” Yunho sarcastically said.

 

Yoong somehow flutters. Those details were new for him. Seohyun defends him from his brother? and... the younger girl like him more than fallenAngel? That's too much information.

 

Without any notice, Yunho plants a hard punch in Yoong’s abdomen. He grunted in pain and bend on his knees. He didn’t see it coming. His breathing is heavy and can’t figure what’s really the real deal of this older guy. He clenches and get up. He was about to fight back when Yunho stops him in his wrist.

 

“Chill man. Just want to welcome you to the family.” Yunho flashes a smile.
