Street deserted.
The sky was dark.
The Autumn wind was blowing.
She pressed her jacket, but her body was still shivering. Not because of the wind, because now she could not feel anything. Looked like her nerves were not working. She could not see, can not hear, can not speak, and could not feel anything.
Except for the pain in her heart. She could feel that one. So sick ...
It took a great strength to drag her feet and took a step forward. Hand raised to her chest, grabbed the front of the jacket. The other hand stretched out before her and gripped the iron railing bridge. The iron fence was supposed to be cold on her bare hands, but in fact she did not feel anything while she clutched the iron fence until her knuckles turned white.
Her eyes stared blankly at the bottom. The surface of this Seine river looked calm as a massive black glass that reflects light from the lamps on the sidewalk.
The water was definitely cold. She would die of cold when she plunged herself into the river. Frozen to death.
She just needed to let herself fall. After that her whole body would freeze. The pain would also be frozen. She would not feel it anymore.
