They entered Hyukjae's house with Donghae trailing behind.
"Umma, this is Donghae. My FRIEND, he'll help with the delivery." he said.
Donghae chuckled lightly at how Hyukjae conveyed the sentence. It was as if the word friend came from his nose. He figured that maybe the other is still major pissed at him. Now that he had a closer look, he realized that Hyukjae greatly resembles his mother. And with her smiling at him like that, the thought of how Hyukjae would look like while smiling bugged his mind. He had seen the other smile when he saw them at the restaurant with his Uncle Jinyoung but he was too far away to describe his features. He also realized just now that Hyukjae had dyed his hair blonde; making him more attractive.
'Wait!! Did I just say that he's attractive?'
He shrugged away that thought and proceeded to help Hyukjae and his mother load the products in the car's compartment.
"Hyuk since you're more close to him than me, why don't you accompany him." Eunhyuk's mother suggested. They are done loading the boxes and they are talking outside, beside the car. Donghae had already gotten inside and he's currently starting the engine.
"But Umma, I don't know the address." he tried to reason out. No, to be alone with Donghae was the last thing he wanted to happen.
"Here it is." his mother gave him a sheet of paper. "Now go." and pushed him inside much to his protest. She gave him a sly smile before walking back inside the house.
Donghae was busy checking the clutch that he didn't notice who got inside.
"So Auntie, where are we headed to?" He turned his head and was shocked to see Hyukjae.
"Hyukjae-ssi!" he blurted out in shock. For a moment there, he felt his heart jumped out of his chest. He was clueless as to why he was feeling nervous all of a sudden. Unknown to him, Hyukjae's also feeling the same way but is successfully hiding it beneath his stoic facade.
"We're heading to Mokpo" he replied. Donghae remained speechless, motionless and staring at him. Making sure he wasn't just daydreaming.
"Do you plan on just staring at me all day? Because if you do, I'll exchange seats with you and would drive."
When the words processed in Donghae's mind, he snapped back and spoke. "Ah.. right Mokpo..wait what? Mokpo?!" he inquired, seemingly flabbergasted.
"Yeah, Mokpo.Got a problem? It's your fault for being so impulsive on helping when you don't even know the destination."
"No.. It's not like that. It's just that my mom's house is there." he replied. He decided to shut his mouth when Hyukjae didn't respond.
Eunhyuk remained silent throughout the whole trip. He tried to sleep and ignore his pounding head for the whole 5-hour-trip. It was already dark when they arrived at their destination. Eunhyuk, despite how bad he is feeling forced himself to unload the products. Luckily for him, the negotiation went well and quick and they decided to leave as soon as they received the pay. He was walking back to the car with Donghae -still- trailing behind him when he felt his head spin. His vision turned vague and blurry and before he knew it, he lost consciousness.
Dongahe was busy with his musings that he didn't notice Hyukjae swaying while walking. His wandering thoughts came to a stop when he saw him fainted. Unfortunately, he was a couple of steps behind and wasn't able to catch him before he hit the ground. He hurriedly ran to him and panic filled his senses when he felt how high Hyukjae's temperature is. He abruptly lifted him up, bridal style and laid him inside the car. He decided to bring Hyukjae to their house since they are near. He got on the driver's seat and started driving.
"Hae! How ha-- Who's he?! What happened to him?! Oh my God, what did you do to him?!" Donghae’s mother greeted him with non-stop questions. He went inside their house and went straight to his room. His mother following behind.
"He's Hyukjae, my friend." was Donghae’s only reply. He approached the bad once he got inside the room. Donghae's mom went on the other side of the bed and pulled down the thick comforters covering the sheets. Donghae gently laid him on the bed and let his mother take over. "He's sick and he fainted." He explained. His mother touched Hyukjae's forehead then motioned for Donghae to get some spare clothes and towel and a basin of water. After getting the things needed, he left the room and let her take care of Hyukjae.
Eunhyuk awoke to a slight jerk. He opened his eyes and realized that he is not in his room. He sat up and tried to comprehend what had happened. Just then, Donghae came in with a tray of food in his hands. Eunhyuk was bewildered at the sight before him.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. Half skeptical and half stunned.
"Uhmmm because it's my room?" Donghae answered.
"What? Why am I here? Why did you bring me here?" he stood up and noticed he isn't wearing his clothes. "These are not my clothes... Don't tell me you--"
"Hey! Don't be paranoid okay." Donghae butted in. He approached the bed and sat on the edge. "You fainted and you have a fever." he stated. He then scooted closer to Eunhyuk and touched his forehead.
Eunhyuk's heart started to beat unbelievably fast again. He felt his cheeks getting hot and he silently prays that Donghae won't notice that he's blushing.
"Good. Your temperature had gone down. Are you hungry?" Donghae inquired again. Hyukjae just nodded in response which is quite a cute sight in Donghae’s eyes. He took the bowl of soup from the tray. He scooped a spoonful of the hot soup then brought it in front of Hyukjae's mouth. Hyukjae on the other hand just stared at him. Giving him a disbelieving look.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"What do you think?"
"I..I can eat by myself. You don't have to feed me." he replied. Stuttering and mentally face-palmed himself for doind so. And God! How it felt awkward for him to say that Donghae is feesing him. He felt that he's probably as red as a tomato now.
"Okay then if you insist." He placed the bowl back on the tray. "Call me if you need anything." Donghae said and flashed him a cheeky grin. He opened the door and disappeared.
Ever since that smile, Eunhyuk's heart and mind wasn't at ease anymore. Images of Donghae kept on pooling his thoughts. Now that he think about it, the Donghae that he had first encountered is very different from the Donghae now. Those cold glares that the man once shoot at him were replaced by warm gazes and the harsh accusations he threw at him were buried down ten feet under the ground and had it covered with calm words. He started eating as he tries his best to shrug away those thoughts.
Donghae got out of the room and proceeded to the kitchen to grab something to eat. He approached the fridge and grabbed a box of chocopie. He almost had a heart attack because his mother appeared behind the door’s fridge. He jumped back a little, still holding the box of chocopie.
“Ma! You almost killed me!” he snapped then sat on one the chairs. His mother followed him, a sly smile plastered on her face. “What?”
“Tell me Hae, what’s your relationship with him? Is he your boyfriend?” she asked then giggled like a high school sweetheart. Dongahe almost choked on what he’s eating at his mother’ words.
“No, he’s just my friend.” He replied back.
“Really? Well, that’s too sad.” She replied then pouted. Dongahe chuckled at his m other’s action. He reached for her hand and spoke.
“I have good news.”
Her face brightened in anticipation,
“Hyukjae’s the one who taught uncle Jinyoung ballroom. He’s a dance instructor.”
“Then I should thank him!” she exclaimed.
“e..erm Excuse me.” A voice interrupted their mini-conversation. They both snapped their heads up and saw Hyukjae by the corner, holding the tray. Donghae hurried to him and took the tray from his possession and placed it on the table. He then led Hyukjae to the table and pulled out a chair for him.
“Thanks.” Hyukjae muttered.
“How are you feeling Hyukjae?” Donfahe’s mother asked.
“I’m feeling well now. Thank you Mrs. Lee and Dongahe-ssi.” He replied back.
Donghae asked Hyukjae for a walk at their garden. While they were strolling the area, he told Hyukjae that he had already called Hyukjae’s mother and had already told her what happened. He said that they are going back to Seoul early in the morning tomorrow. They reached the pool and Donghae motioned for Hyukjae to sit on the edge and dip their feet on the water. The latter shivered when the cold water enveloped his feet. They were sitting side by side as silence surrounds them. Moments later, Donghae decided to break that silence.
“Please call me Eunhyuk. I’m not used to being called Hyukjae. And drop the ssi.”
“O..okay. Uhhmm Eunhyuk, again about what happened last time. I’m really really sorry. I didn’t know. Please forgive me.” He said as he looked Eunhyuk.
“Fine. I forgive.”
“Really?!” he blurted out. He can’t believe that Eunhyuk had already forgiven him. A while ago, the latter was just ignoring him and now he’s saying that he had forgiven him. As if what he had done is only a misdemeanor.
“What? You don’t want. Then I’ll take it back.” Eunhyuk teased a little then gazed at the stars.
“No, it’s not what..I.. I mean. Thank you.”
Eunhyuk heard what he had said and glanced back at him. He meekly smiled at the other before turning back his attention on the sky. Donghae’s heart fluttered the moment Eunhyuk smiled at him. He beamed back but the other didn’t notice because he was too busy with the heavenly bodies. Dongahe studied and admired Eunhyuk’s side profile, slowly taking in the perfect creature beside him. He didn’t know what he was doing until he felt his lip s touched the corners of Eunhyuk’s plump ones.
A/N: Soooo. watcha' think? keke.
I don't want to sound rude or bad or anything when I said that I only read what I want to read. It's just that I really don't like it when someone do that. I mean, we have different preferences and such. It's good to advertise and spread your story but I think that posting it in walls is just out of line.
