Christmas Vacation! ...with Infinite Part 2

A warm towel on your forehead woke you up from your unconscious state. Your eyes opened to reveal a fuzzy image of a guy.

“H-Howon oppa?” You murmured, slowly sitting up.

He seemed shocked, but relieved to see you awake. “~~~-ah! You’re awake! Thank goodness.”

You nodded, but immediately regretted it.

He handed you a mug. “Here drink up. It’s hot chocolate. You need to warm up your body.”

You took a sip and noticed you were in your pajamas.

“EunHee changed you if you wanted to know.” Hoya said, adjusting your blanket.

“Did you find me in the forest?” You asked.

“I wish…” He sadly said.

“You wish? Who did?”

“Your ex best friend aka Kim Myungsoo.” He said, “If you ask me, it was kind of his fault you were lost so technically, he was saving you from something he did.”

“Myungsoo…?” You whispered.

So he saved you…

L sat and watched everyone happily ice skating, scanning for any girls to flirt with. His eyes wandered around the rink, finally setting upon you and Hoya at the entrance. Hoya was helping you tie your skates. Ever since yesterday’s event happened, Hoya wouldn’t let you out of his sight; he even went to the principal so she could change his group and transfer him into yours. Your group consisted of: Hoya, you, EunHee, Sungyeol and Woohyun. The other group consisted of Sunggyu, Sungjong, Dongwoo, L, MiSun, and Miyoung. There was a lot of protest when the group members were revealed, but there could be nothing done about it. Hoya was an exception, though.

“Oppa, I can tie them by myself.” You replied.

“Oppa said oppa will tie, so I will.” He said, carefully knotting the laces.

When he finished, he got onto the ice and extended his hand, which you took. He helped you onto the ice and you took a step onto the slippery surface, almost falling.

“I can’t skate…” You confessed.

“You were the most excited!” He pointed out.

“It looks so fun.” You longingly stared at everyone skating around the rink.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Hoya asked. “I’ll teach you.”

He began to explain the steps to learning how to skate to you in detail. You nodded, copying his moves exactly, but couldn’t seem to get the concept. You slipped and fell a few times, but otherwise you didn’t hurt yourself too much. Hoya was patient and kind, giving you encouragement at moments when you wanted to just give up. Your eyes met L’s for a brief second and he looked away. Suddenly, Hoya held both of your hands in his bigger ones.

“I’ll hold your hands and guide you.” He said. “You just do what I taught you. Don’t worry about falling. I’m right here.”

You nodded uncertainly, but did what he told. He skated backwards, leading you and you shakily moved forward. Surprisingly, you were skating!

“I’m skating!” You beamed up at him.

He smiled back at you. “Yup, you are.”

You continued smiling and skating. Hoya watched your concentrated face; your tongue slightly stuck out of your mouth, trying your best to move forward and not fall. He smiled.

Some of the Infinite members called Hoya over and you encouragingly gave him a small push forward.

“Go ahead. I’ll see you later.” You smiled.

“Are you sure? You ok with skating alone?” He asked.

You nodded. “I’m fine. Stop worrying.”

“I can’t stop worrying if it’s about you.” Hoya replied, fixing your scarf so it covered your neck fully.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” You asked, but he was already gone. “Aish, that oppa.”

You noticed L sitting alone on the benches. He was deep in thought and didn’t notice you sit on the same exact bench, on the opposite side, at the very end.

He was thinking about what happened last night.

L headed back to his room.

He threw his jacket on his chair in the room he shared with Sungyeol. He lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling. The thought of you passed out in the cold wouldn’t leave his mind. He closed his eyes, trying to forget about it, but his conscience wouldn’t leave him alone. He sighed loudly, grabbed his jacket, and walked out the door.

All of the snow blinded his vision and his shoes were getting soaked from the snow. The wind made its way through his clothes and chilled him to the bones. He blew on his hands, trying to warm them up. It was hopeless. How was he going to find you in this weather? He was about to leave and tell Hoya that he did his best, but then a spotted a figure in the distance. It looked like you! It also looked like you were about to pass out, so he ran as fast as he could and caught you before you fell.

Letting you lean on his body, he whipped out his phone, and dialed Hoya’s number.

“Myungsoo? What do you want? I’m trying to find ~~~-ah here.” Hoya’s annoyed voice was heard on the other side of the phone.

“I found her.” He replied.

“You did?!”

“Yes. Go back to the lodge. You can relax now.”

L hung up, sighed, picked you up, and made his way back to the lodge.

“So, what are you thinking about so deeply?” You asked, looking directly ahead.

He didn’t look at you and continued looking forward as well. “What are you doing here?”

“I don’t know.” You shrugged. “Just wanted to talk.”

“Yeah, right.” He said. “Really, what do you want?”

“You’re making it really hard for me to thank you.” You said.

“For?”

“Saving me yesterday.”

“Oh that.” L said. “Howon hyung was going to murder me, so I had to find you or else.”

“Sure,” You said, getting up. “Thanks anyway.”

When you left, he finally turned to where you previously sat and saw a cup of hot chocolate with a small note attached.

We may no longer be friends anymore, but here’s a token of thanks for yesterday. And no, I did not poison this in any way whatsoever. P.S. I’m still clueless as to why I am thanking you even though it was partially you’re fault I got lost. Oh well. What’s done is done.

He cautiously stared at the hot chocolate and took a small sip. It warmed his whole body. But for some reason, it didn’t feel like just the hot chocolate warming him up, it felt like something else – something he hasn’t felt in a very long time. Pushing the feeling away, L drank the whole cup, threw it away, and headed to the other Infinite members.

I may be going! Anyone else planning on going? :D (edit: Thanks to littleocean, I've been informed about the event. Turns out, there's a lot of mixed feedback. It was either moved/postponed/cancelled, so I'm not sure anymore :\)
