Jongjin led all of you to the living room, where the party was being held. “The snack table is over there. Help yourselves.” Jongjin said. “Really?” Xiumin lit up. Jongjin smiled genially and nodded, “Sure.”

Xiumin grabbed Luhan’s arm, “Lulu! Come with me!” Luhan rolled his eyes. *Oh brother.*

Sehun glanced around then snuck off to the table also. D.O. was right behind him.

Jongjin used their temporary distraction to take you away. “I’ll introduce you to some of my friends.” Jongjin put his hand on the small of your back and led you away.

Kai turned around and searched for you. *Where did Star go?* He saw you with Jongjin. Kai’s eyes narrowed at Jongjin’s hand on your back. *Why can’t he just keep his hands to himself? Damn him.*

“Haebin, meet my modeling partners Goo Yosep, Oh Haneul, and Lee Jaejin.” Jongjin introduced.

You bowed your head, “It’s nice to meet you.”

“And this,” Jongjin put his hands on your bare shoulders.

Chanyeol saw that and spat his drink out. “Chanyeol!” D.O. hissed. Suho held out a napkin. D.O. cursed under his breath as he wiped the droplets of punch on his sleeve. Chanyeol balled his hand into an angry fist. *Why is he touching her like that? Only I can touch Star like that!*

“…Is my No Haebin.” Jongjin proudly smiled at you.

“Ah! You’re his boss, right?! The owner of the PC room!” Jaejin pointed. You nodded, “Er, yes.”

“Wow…I was wondering why you would work at such a place. Now I know why. Your boss is gorgeous.” Yosep winked and lightly punched his friend on the shoulder.

Jongjin laughed, “Yeah, she’s the main reason I stay up all night.” He winked at you, and you smiled back.

Haneul, a beautiful model, put her champagne glass down and tilted her head, “She’s very different from your date last year.” Jongjin’s face fell. “Haneul.” Yosep uneasily said. “Date?” You looked up at Jongjin, whose expression had stiffened. “Last year she was a sophisticated college girl, and this year you brought a dongseng.” Haneul said. Jongjin flashed her a dark look.

Jaejin cleared his throat, “All right. I think someone has had one too many glasses of champagne. Let’s take a breath of fresh air.” He led her outside.

“Don’t take offense.” Yosep said. “Haneul is usually blunt when she gets intoxicated.”

You nodded, but you didn’t understand why you had to be offended. *Who was the girl they were comparing me to anyways?*

Jongjin put his hand on your waist, “I’ll introduce you to some other friends. They’re not models, and maybe they’ll be helpful to your college career.” He led you over to another table. These people were much more normal-looking, and they were friendlier. All of you laughed at Jongjin’s joke, and the girls complimented your dress.

Chanyeol and Kai jealously watched from the sidelines. “Why is he acting as if they’re on a date?” Chanyeol muttered.

“Maybe they’re secretly dating.” D.O. said.

Immediately, Chanyeol and Kai snarled, “SHUT UP, D.O.!”

D.O. held out his arms and blinked in defense, “Okay. Sorry. Sheesh.” He went to get another crab cake.

Sehun uneasily scooted closer to Suho, “Hyung. Girls are doing it again. What’s wrong with human girls? Why can’t they stop staring at us?” Exo looked up. Sehun was right. The female guests had a hard time looking away from their attractiveness. A couple girls winked and giggled. Sehun ducked behind Chanyeol.

One of the girls picked up her glass of wine and boldly approached Kris.

“Uh-oh!” Xiumin darted a panicky glance at Kris, “Incoming!”

She picked up another glass of wine and stopped next to him. “Hey, I don’t remember seeing you at Jongjin’s other parties. Are you his friend?”

Kris didn’t even bother to glance at her. *Friend, my ass. That pathetic human is trying to steal my soulmate.*

His ignorance didn’t prevent her from holding out the untouched glass of wine, “My name is Katie, and I’m a model. What about you?”

“I’m sorry, but I refrain from giving my name to people who I know I will never encounter again. Good night.” Kris swiftly ducked his head then walked away. Her face fell and she jutted her lips in displeasure.

“Man, duizhang. Don’t you think that was a bit…cold?” Xiumin asked.

“No, she deserved it.” Luhan defended. “She’s hitting on someone who already has a match.”

“But she didn’t know that.” Chen said. “It looks like his ‘match’ doesn’t know that as well.” Exo-M watched you giggle and chat with Jongjin and his friends.

The doorbell rang, signaling another guest.

“Excuse me.” Jongjin said to his friends, gave you a sweet smile, and left.

You headed back to Exo. “Did you guys already finish the buffet table?”

“Is someone talking to us?” D.O. pretended to take something out of his ear.

You rolled your eyes, “Come on, guys.”

“Finally you notice us.” Sehun curtly said.

“How can I not? You guys came with me. And not to mention, I could feel the heat of your glares on the back of my head.” You pointed out.

“Why is that guy all over you, Star?” Chanyeol possessively growled.

“He’s Jongjin oppa. You guys know him. He’s like my brother.” You replied.

“Brothers don’t touch you that way! Next time smack his hand away when he touches you, Star!” Chanyeol complained. Kai was silently rooting him on. You waved your hand, “Okay, whatever.”

Jongjin came back, “Hey, look who came.” He glanced back with a chuckle.

Hyunseok came in and brightly smiled, “Hey, boss-girl! Oh! I see your bodyguards came, too.” He chuckled.

“Hi, Hyunseok oppa. How come you’re not wearing a suit?” You looked him up and down. He was wearing a black dress shirt with fitted black jeans. “Hyunseok never follows the dress code.” Jongjin rolled his eyes. Hyunseok shrugged, “What can I say? I’m a rebel.” He grinned at you, “I have someone you should meet, Haebin.” Hyunseok stepped back and wrapped his arm delicately around a sweet-looking girl with long, light chestnut hair that was pulled back into a ponytail. Unlike Hyunseok, she was dressed for the occasion in a pink long-sleeved dress with black stockings. Hyunseok affectionately smiled at her, “Haebin, I’d like you to meet my girlfriend Rinrin.”

She lightly smacked him in a loving way then held her hand out with a warm smile, “It’s actually Irene. I don’t know why he can’t just introduce me by my normal name.”

You giggled and took her hand, “Oppa is kind of silly that way. Pleased to meet you. I’m No Haebin.”

“Or boss-girl.” Hyunseok added.

Irene rolled her eyes with a smile, “You and your nicknames.” She looked at Kai who was standing the closest to you and smiled while holding out her hand, “And are you her boyfriend?”

Kai’s eyes widened in surprise. Chanyeol’s jaw fell open. *NO!*

“Did you hear that, duizhang?! She said that Kai was mei-mei’s beloved!” Xiumin furiously said. Kris’s body tensed. *Over my dead body.*

Kai smirked and smoothly took her hand, “Yes, my name is Kai-“

“NO,” You eyed him then looked at Irene, “He’s just a friend, and his name is Kai.” Hyunseok came back from the buffet table with crumbs around his lips, “All twelve of these males are her bodyguards.” “Twelve?!” Irene’s eyes widened. Hyunseok pointed out their names. Some bowed. Others stared. Suho, Tao, and Lay waved. “Wow…you must be someone important.” Irene giggled.

You flushed, “Not really.” Kai slipped his arm around you and pressed his cheek against yours, “She’s very special.”

“Aww.” Irene beamed. “Hey, I say that to you. How come you don’t ‘aww’ me?” Hyunseok asked. Irene dusted the crumbs off his mouth, “Just clean up after yourself. Sheesh. I hope you’re not this messy in front of your boss.”

“Please,” Your cheeks turned red, “Jut call me Haebin. I may own the story, but Hyunseok oppa helps a lot.”

Hyunseok beamed, “I told you I’m not being lazy, jagiya~”

“Whatever.” Irene waved her hand.

“Hyunseok, Yosep wants to see you.” Jongjin called.

“I’ll be back. Ladies~” He made a show of bowing. “Go on, you buffoon.” Irene gave him a playful shove. Hyunseok saluted and left. You and Irene laughed.

“Was oppa always so silly?” You asked. Irene dramatically rolled her eyes, “You have no idea. Oh! Food! Will you join me?” She held out her arm. Laughing, you took her arm, and the two of you strolled off to grab some snacks. Irene was a friendly, funny girl. You had another unnie besides Sara now.

The two of you chatted about school when suddenly, Irene gasped, “What is she doing here?!”
