The bell tinkled as someone came into the PC room.

Jongjin counted the receipts as he greeted, “Welcome to Star’s PC Room-“ He looked up to be greeted with a thumb. Jongjin looked up at the owner of the thumb.

You pouted, “Prick my thumb. My tummy hurts.”

Minutes later, shouts could be heard from the room.

“OW, OPPA! MY THUMB! YOU BROKE IT! IT’S BLEEDING!”

“That’s the whole point, you babo.” Jongjin pushed your forehead.

You pouted deeper as you rubbed it. He put the needle away as he shook his head, “I should have gone to nursing school instead.” “You’d look cute in a nurse’s outfit. You should model for one.” You commented.

Jongjin shot you a look, and you pretended to zip your lips up. He chuckled as he tucked the needle box away. “I swear you get the most number of indigestions in the world. I lost count how many times you got a stomachache in the past year.”

“Yup, Guinness World Record for Indigestion, that’s me.” You pointed to yourself.

Jongjin leaned against the table and cocked his head, “Why did you get indigestion?”

“Don’t ask me. I failed bio.” You made a face. He shook his head, “Something must have bothered you to get indigestion. Are you stressed about school?”

“You can say that.” You muttered. “Why? What’s going on?” Jongjin asked.

“Nothing.” You sighed. “Yeah, nothing. That’s why you sigh as if the world is going to end, huh?” He asked.

You peeked up at him. Jongjin crossed his arms, “I’ve been through my freshman year. I know how tough it is. But it can’t be this difficult already.” You didn’t answer. Jongjin rested his palm on the table and leaned towards you, “What’s bothering you, No Haebin?”

“You’re too perceptive.” You mumbled. He chuckled, “I’ll take that as a compliment. So tell me. What’s on your mind?”

You finally spilled to him about Saemi. It felt nice and normal complaining to another human being.

“Bummer. I had a sunbae like that once.” Jongjin made a face.

“What did you do?!” You asked, hoping to receive some good advice.

Jongjin smirked, “I became a famous model, and THAT showed him! Ha!”

“Well that sucks. I have no talent. I can’t sing without breaking glasses. I can’t for dance, or I’ll snap in half like the twig I am. I have no looks or body. There goes that plan.” You moped.

“You think too little of yourself.” Jongjin ruffled your hair.

“And I’m short, too. How did I miss that?” You sarcastically wondered. He shook his head with a smile, “You’re funny, Haebin.”

“Are you hinting at me to try out to become a comedian?” You eyed him. “I’ll be your number one fan.” He promised.

“Ugh.” You lowered your head to the table and rested your forehead against the cool top.

“You want me to go talk to your sunbae for you? What’s her name?” Jongjin questioned.

“No, thanks. But her name is Shim Saemi.”

Jongjin stiffened, “Did you say…Shim Saemi?”

You sat up with a nod, “Yeah, why?” He looked away, “Nothing…” *Don’t be stupid. There can be more than one Shim Saemi in this world. It better not be the Shim Saemi I know though.*

“Oppa?” You shook his arm. Jongjin snapped out of his thoughts, “Huh?”

“Your shift is ending. You can go now.” “Oh. Araso.” He took his belongings and you followed him to the door. “I’ll see you later. About…your leader don’t stress too much.” Jongjin advised. “I’ll try.” You said. “Later.” Jongjin waved and left.

You went to the counter and finished counting the receipts. The sky darkened, and soon it was night.

You took a sip of the soda as you read your history book. A shadow fell over you and you automatically asked, “May I help you- oh!” Your eyes rounded in surprise, “Yeol!”

Chanyeol tilted his head, “Are you still stressed?”

“Stressed?” *He’s talking about Saemi.* “I’m okay now.” You said.

Chanyeol came around the counter and sat next to you. He pulled out your laptop and typed something in it.

“What are you doing?” You asked curiously. Chanyeol didn’t answer as he pulled out something from a new file marked ‘Shiny’. *What is that?* You wondered. Chanyeol hooked earphones to the laptop, put one earpiece into your ear, and double clicked on a video file.

A screen popped up and familiar, sweet voices sang in your ear.

Your eyes rounded in surprise, “Isn’t this-“

On the screen, SHINee’s ‘Sherlock’ MV began to play. Stunned, you stared at Chanyeol. *I thought he hated them, so why would he show me their music video? It’s not like he became a Shawol overnight.*

“Just for today.” He pushed the screen towards you and innocently blinked with an encouraging nod.

You understood right away. Chanyeol knew you loved SHINee and had downloaded their videos for you to watch and feel better. You were very touched, “Yeol…” He put the other earphone in your other ear and gave you a sweet smile. Then he turned your head to the screen and made you watch the amazing music video.

Your eyes kept switching to Chanyeol though. *Thank you so much for your enormous effort, Chanyeol. You’re the best.* You took out one of the earphones and held it out, “Listen with me?”

Chanyeol began to consider. Before he could say yes or no, you put the earphone in his ear. Chanyeol looked into your eyes, and you genuinely smiled at him. He laughed. *All right. I’ll give in, Star. I’ll listen to them since it makes you happy.* You joined his laughter and looked to the screen with a blissful smile.

Chanyeol slung his arm around your shoulder and pulled you closely into him. He slightly turned his head and watched you enjoy the video. Your cherry lips moved along to the words, and you bobbed your head along to the beat. Your smile grew wider, and your eyes shined. He could feel you relaxing already.

Chanyeol found himself becoming happier and his lips curled upwards into an affectionate smile. He squeezed you closely against him and nuzzled the side of your face. *I’ll do anything to make you happy, my Star.*

The video ended. “Next one!” You turned on ‘Replay’ next. You noticed Chanyeol watching you and pushed his jaw with your forefinger to turn his face to the screen. “Watch them, not me!”

*But I like watching you.* Yet to appease you, Chanyeol kept his eyes focused on the music video. Lightly, he bumped his forehead against your head. You shut one eye at the impact and peeked up at him.

Chanyeol couldn’t resist your cuteness and began to laugh. He pinched your cheek and gave you his signature one-wink smile.

You smiled back and lightly poked his nose. He blinked in surprise, but gave you a sweet, devoting smile.

“Look, look!” You pointed at the screen.

“Araso~ araso~” Chaneyol squeezed you against him and leaned towards the screen to get a closer look at your favorite kpop band.
