Description
Whispers Of The Sea
There have been stories about a vanished island-continent habited by an intelligent civilization ever since the existence of Ancient Greece. The island of Atlantis, a myth, fiction, a legendary island only kept alive by those who seek answers to questions such as: what caused this civilization to sink, did the island of Atlantis even exist and if so where was it located – in what sea or ocean did once upon a time float this mysterious patch of land? Do the ruins of Atlantis still lie on the bottom of the sea floor and did they possess technology beyond their time?
Legitimate evidence is scarce, but is the sole motivation for true believers such as Lee Hyukjae. According to legend, Atlantis was a fertile plain with a palace in the middle surrounded by circles of not only land but water as well, forming a continent the size of Asia and Libya combined: a paradise island created by the offspring of Greek God Poseidon.
Hyukjae wonders how such a gigantic vast continent can disappear without a trace. In one night and one day a series of earthquakes, and tsunamis creating giant floods, caused for Atlantis to disappear into the depths of the sea. Did all of the Atlanteans drown during this dreadful catastrophe or are there still descendants of this peculiar civilization roaming today's Earth?
The whereabouts of Atlantis itself is hard to determine however, because the writer of the first book, that covers information about the lost continent, was the Greek philosopher Plato and sadly his landmarks are hard to interpret. The actual ruins of Atlantis have yet to be found, but there is evidence that several Atlanteans survived the catastrophe and brought their intellect to Egypt, resulting in the foundation of the pyramids. Furthermore, in Mexico local legends speak of white Gods who came from beyond the seas. It sounds a bit far-fetched, but to fanatics like Hyukjae it is a golden opportunity to discover more clues about survivors of this civilization, because what if the Atlantean architects did not only build impressive pyramids, but guided the Mayas in building their majestic temples as well?
Something horribly unexpected wiped Atlantis from the surface of the Earth. Hyukjae is very confident of the existence of this society, but who is to take his side without solemn proof? Therefore, in his quest to leave the world baffled and give them no choice but to make an end to their yes/no discussion, the young anthropologist sets out to the Pillars of Hercules located at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar where, according to Plato's Timaeus and Critias, the lost realm of Atlantis was situated.
Hyukjae starts an investigation, alone though confident that no other anthropologist knows more about this myth than Hyukjae himself. However, when thousand miles from home he meets a man who is by no means an anthropologist, not even decently schooled, yet the knowledge he possesses about Atlantis makes Hyukjae believe that despite the stranger's inspiring stories, there is something he is most definitely not telling him.

;A; this is the day I have to comment on this beautiful masterpiece, I don't quite like commenting on Deviantart, I'm too inactive there but here I am now to present to you what I have conjured form my mind to review this beautiful story.
The plot was so detailed *0* like the mere explanation makin m e lust for more, Atlantis being the heavy topic on Hyukjae. The part where you presented Hyukjae with the archaeologist get-up, I giggled, he would look like a middle schooler with that xD Especially the blond hair. At first I thought Donghae and Siwon would be mermaids that would lead him , but oh I was so wrong! I loved how you depicted Donghae, I always thought of him sighing when they were high up on the rock ,explaining to Hyukjae. then, Siwon *0* oh holy Poseidon, spare me.xD He fits the role perfectly \M/
//thumbs up! Hwaiting !

Must have take a lot of readingto write this
But I really really love it.
I somehow think that Atlantis was wrongly punished too. You have brainwashed me.
I really love the whole idea.
The fact that Poseidon gave Donghae a chance to prove that his people were kind and honest too.
I'm a sucker for this kind of greek gods story. Hehe
Thank you for ur hard work!
i hope u win:-)

I skipped through some parts since for me the concept of Atlantis is a bit scary to crasp ^^ Siwon and Poseidon aww~ and Donghae disappeared without a trace... it was a nice one-shot all in all, must have been a lot of work to get the facts to begin with ^^
