Prologue

"Seriously? Is this how you please a person? Kidnapping her onto the plane without her consent?" Victoria angrily stared at James as she spoke.

On the plane flying to South Korea at 10:35 in the morning, a young man was putting all the luggage away and prepared to sit down beside a young girl who was yelling at him.

"Oh please, will you just give me a chance to explain myself? Plus, you knew about this--"

"Like what? Three days ago?!"

"Okay, okay, I admit that this is a little bit of a rush decision on my part. But it's also because you're a wonderful translator who's skilled in three most important languages that will be used in this case! Also, Evangelin begged you to do this." The man named James seemed to have gotten Victoria's weak point.

Unsatisfied with the explanation, Victoria replied, "Ugh, if it weren't for Evangelin, I'd never ever do this for you." She turned toward the window, trying to ignore James.

"Come on, it's a great opportunity for you, too! Not only do you get to travel to Korea, you also get to see lots of entertainers and celebrities!" Trying to ease Victoria's anger, James spoke of the incentives that he had prepared.

Undeniably, it had always been Victoria's dream to travel to Korea ever since she fell in love with the Korean culture when she was studying in the US. Her best friend, Evangelin, who happened to be James's fiance, also knew about it, and so she recommended Victoria as a translator/secretary immediately after she heard that James’s agency was planning to contract with entertainers under SM Entertainment.

"Hey," Unsure if Victoria had calmed down, James tried to apologize, "All right, I am really sorry if this is too all-of-a-sudden, but I really thought you're the best "secretary" for this case myself; I would've talked you into doing this without Evangelin recommending you...Are you laughing?"

Unable to hold in the laughter, Victoria turned around and laughed at James' puzzled expression.

"I'm sorry, it's just too funny to see you feeling sorry hahahaha!" Victoria continued to explain, "Evangelin was right, I should just act angry all the time to show you who's the boss, haha!"

"Explain." James's voice turned demanding.

"All right, all right..I apologize for my very childish prank, but I was really upset at first when you two just decided without me involved in the decision to go to Korea. Well, but I'm still pretty excited to go to Korea! I even called out a friend who is willing to let me stay at her apartment!" Victoria's voice suddenly turned bright at the thought of reuniting with her Korean friend.

"(Sigh) Oh my, you almost gave me a heart attack...I thought you went crazy because you were too angry at me, haha!" James finally softened his face after hearing the explanation, but somewhat annoyed. "Gees, you and Evangelin..."

Somewhat smugly, Victoria said, "Ha! Now you know our friendship will last FOREVER no matter who comes in between us! Haha!" Victoria grimaced at James.

Such a child, James thought.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure your future fiance keeps you away from Evangelin when we get married, haha!" James threatened her jokingly.

Without a thought, Victoria assured him, "Don't worry, that's going to happen in...100 years!"

"Right, at your age. If that's the case, then YOU are the one who has to worry. Please, show some normal femininism, okay?" James teased her.

Victoria replied a clear 'no' with her rebellious stare and plugged her earphones back into her ears.

And the plane took off...Destination: Korea.
