You're not umma and appa

Morning came, that means the zombies has already left their place. All of them learned a thing or two during their brief escape that those zombies seemed to be at their strongest at night, and they attack in huge packs. The morning looked wonderful outside, if only the whole world wasn't in shambles everyone would actually go outside and have a picnic.

Back inside all of the survivors are waking up and had started to eat, except Yoobin. She was still fast asleep so Seunghyun walked over to where people was circling to get her food, he didn't want to wake her up figuring that she must be really tired.

"Hyung, you're taking a large amount of food...are you gonna chomp it all down?" Zelo asked, looking quite baffled at his brother's plate. 

Seunghyun chuckled a bit at his little brother's cute expression. "Nope, this is for me and Yoobin."

"Yoobin?"

"That girl who tackled me." Zelo nodded, remembering who the girl was. "Now grab some food and go eat with your sister."

Zelo ran to Jungcho who was sitting down with Taemin, talking, laughing, and Jungcho seemed to laugh at what ever he say. Does she like him? He thought for a moment. Seunghyun walked over to Yoobin's spot to find her looking peacefully sleeping. "Yoobin, time to wake up."

The girl unconsciously groaned and whined, "5 more minutes dad."

He laughed and made a face. "Yoobin, seriously." The girl's eyes fluttered open and again she saw his face, she silently thanked the heavens for giving them another day to live and for her to wake up seeing his face. She didn't realize she was staring deep into his pitch black eyes the whole time until suddenly Seunghyun said "Sorry I'm not your dad" and snapped her out.

"Huh what? Oh! That's okay!" She gave him a reasuring smile.

"Here's your food." He handed her a plate.

"Thanks." She said as she starts to munch on her food. From the pace of her chewing and how fast she dug into her food you can tell that she's really hungry.

"So what do we do after this?"

"Out. Search for more survivors, pack for food and more supplies, find my brother...". She looked down on what's left of her food, her cheerful expression disappeared. "It's been days." She sighed

"Wanna go look for him now?" Seunghyun asked with a soft smile on his face.

"I told you, it's been days! He might be dead!" She spat.

"Well, 'might be'. There's a good chance he's not, and besides! He's your brother, from the looks of you I think he's a tough guy too." Seunghyun grabbed a nearly located winchester rifle and a bag, "Wanna go look for him now?"

What if you're wrong, Seunghyun? Yoobin silently asked as they walked out of safety and into the open. What if he's wrong? She thought, at the moment she wanted to ask him that. She didn't want to have gone all out searching for him and to end up facing her brother in zombie form or finding his remain, it'll hurt so much. She didn't want to set her hopes up high only to have it crushed. But then Seunghyun's words echoed in her head as she walked through the now empty and abandoned streets of Seoul, in the midst of destruction, in the middle of all these ruins, looking around to find everything empty and broken. The two seemed like the only 2 humans left, who dared to hope anything much less a miracle at these times?

The two walked across the now broken streets and into an abandoned apartment building. Yoobin was very familiar with this building it seemed to Seunghyun, she walked on over to the stairs and knows where to turn on these halls. Seunghyun could only follow her from behind as she walked over to an apartment door, she stopped to look at the door and sighed  as she held the handle.  So this is her apartment, Seunghyun thought as he watch the girl opens the door and walk in. The apartment was already in bad shape when they got in, it looks as if she was robbed. Seunghyun looked around as Yoobin walked over to what seems to be her room and noticed a picture of a man holding a cat, is this her brother?

 A scoff was heard from his back, “That’s my brother Jaejoong and our pet cat.” Seunghyun turned around to see Yoobin coming up to him to look. Her eyes was watery as she held the picture. “He’s not here, by the looks of things he left in a hurry too.”

“But i don’t think he was alone. There’s no way one man can turn this place upside down in a matter of miliseconds and it ain’t zombies.” Seunghyun said as he points randomly to the room.

“There’s no blood or signs that a zombie was here so my brother probably left with a neighbor or a frie-“ Before Yoobin could even finish her sentence they both heard a faint sound of a cry. “What was that?” Yoobin asked as she held onto her AK-47

“Sounded like a kid.” Seunghyun replied. The two kept quiet and again they heard it again. “I think it came from next door!” Seunghyun ran to the next door apartment, but as he was about to open the door Yoobin immediately grabbed his collar, making him fall backwards to the ground.  “What the hell was that for!?”

“You gotta wait!”

“WAIT!? What if there’s really a kid in there!?” As the two was bantering outside, there’s a rotting hand that sprang out of the door. Seunghyun yelled “HOLY SHIT!” as he hurriedly got up and fired his gun at the door.

“SEUNGHYUN STOP IT!” Yoobin ordered, and at that very second he stopped. Seunghyun slumped back to the wall behind him catching his breath as he looked at Yoobin who was walking to open the door. She got out a knife first and then opened the door. There was a zombie dangling there with his hand stuck on the door. Yoobin didn’t wait for another second to just cut off the head. “Get up.” she ordered Seunghyun who was still in shock.

The two walked inside the apartment and saw another body lying down the ground next to a couch without it’s head.

“She cut off her own head...” Seunghyun winced at the body when he saw that the body’s hand was holding a knife.

“Mrs. Yoon....” Yoobin mumbled when she found the head near a lamp.

“You knew her?”

“I knew them both, this is Mrs. Yoon and that thing over there is her husband....whose name i can never recall. These people were my neighbors after all.” she squated down to grab Mrs. Yoon’s head, “looks like she died a few hours ago.”

“I don’t even want to know how you could know that but can you please just put that....that...that...head down?” Yoobin playfully pretended to throw the head to Seunghyun, making him squeal a bit. She laughed. “That is not funny.....” he pouted.

But as she was laughing the two suddenly heard faint whispers saying ‘i think it’s safe.’ The two followed the voices that led them in front of a door. The two spontaniously opened the door and jumps in with guns expecting more zombies, but to their surpise they saw 3 little children hiding on top of their bunk bed. 2 little girls and a little boy, 3 of them looked at the 2 standing adults with a bewildred expression.

“You’re not umma and appa.”
