“Who are you?” Chaerin and Jiyong looked at the newcomers and glared at them.

They walked around like they owned the place and they were threatened.

The shortest one who also stood int he middle, looked them, “Heh. You’re the leaders.” He remarked.

“And?” They both said.

One of the others walked forward and despite the shortest one speaking first, AJ could tell, he was the leader.

“You don’t know who we are?” He asked.

“If we did, then do you think we’d be asking?” Chaerin rolled her eyes.

As they turned around and looked at everyone in the room, as soon as their eyes met Chen’s, he stood straight and did a formal bow, getting down on the floor.

“He knows who we are.” The tallest one remarked.

“Stand, Kim Jong Dae.” The leader said nicely.

Chen followed their instructions immediately but kept his head down.

“You have permission to look up, Jong Dae.” The leader told him.

Chen did so shyly but he continued to keep is eyes lowered, alternating from looking at them and looking at the ground.

“How about you explain to the people that don’t know who we are?” The leader said.

Chen gulped but he nodded his head, “Everyone, these five are the Keepers of Fate.” he said softly.

“I think you need to speak up.” The one with black hair said.

Chen cleared his throat, “Everyone, these five are the Keepers of Fate.” he said louder.

Jiyong still looked confused upon the clarification but the Vampire Council gasped and immediately did their formal bows before them.

“I see that the vampires recognize our titles.” The leader said.

“Please tell everyone our names, Kim Jong Dae.” The youngest looking one said.

Chen nodded again, “Their names are Jinki, Jonghyun, Kibum, Minho, and Taemin.” He said.

“Ahh.. It’s so nice to be recognized.” The youngest one said and AJ figured that their names were listed in age order.

“Taemin relax.” The leader said, AJ knew that he was Jinki.

“What does the Keepers of Fate do?” Seunghyun asked.

“Ahh.. Care to explain Kim Jong Dae?” Jinki asked him.

Chen shook his head.

“No?” Jinki said, “Well, I suppose it would be a bit difficult to explain anyway.” He said.

“We are the ones that watch over the threads of every soul in the world.” The shortest one said.

“Jonghyun! I was going to say that!” The tallest complained.

“Shut up, Minho.” Jonghyun muttered, “We have been watching over this city.” He said.

“And you have been trying to manipulate the threads too often.” Minho said, to get his turn.

The last one that didn’t speak yet was Kibum, “We have to intervene now.” He said.

“You must set free the vampires as well as those that have partaken in the Rebellion.” Jinki said.

“Why should we do that?” Jiyong challenged.

“If you don’t then, we shall take you out of power and replace you with those that deserve it.” Jinki replied.

Jiyong gasped, “Understood.” He waved his hand and all the human prisoners were brought into the room immediately.

Chaerin had already set her control off the vampires and they were slowly standing up.

Kyung Mi supported AJ slightly, as he leaned on her a bit.

Jinki turned to Chen, “Kim Jong Dae, what do you wish to do? We are giving you the choice.” 

Chen bit his lip as the rest of his brothers walked into the room, he looked at them and then looked at Kyung Mi.

He sighed, “I want to be here. I think that you will be fair and that this city needs to have someone that’s reasonable.” Chen said.

“Very well.” Jinki said, “We shall implement our new policy of you and your brothers being in charge.” He said.

“WHAT?! You said that if we turned in the humans and vampires to be free, then we would still be in control!” Jiyong shouted at him.

Jonghyun scoffed again, “We lied, sorry.”

The five Keepers turned to those about to be freed, “Walk out the North Gate and say your farewells. You are now free to live outside of this city.” They said.

“Thank you.” Kyung Mi said.

“Spend your time well.” Jinki responded and the group walked out of the room.

“We need to find a replacement for the Vampire Council now too.” Jinki said.

“I have a candidate.” Jonghyun remarked.

“Good, let’s get out of here. Kim Jong Dae, you and your brothers are now in charge. Do whatever it takes to reform if you wish.” Jinki said.

“If I want to reform everything?” He asked speaking up.

“Do what you wish.” Jinki replied.

“Thank you, Keepers of Fate.” Chen bowed lowly again and the five walked away completely.

“We are not going to give up that easily.” Jiyong said.

Chen smirked at his brothers, “Don’t worry, we figured.” He said before they charged at the former leaders.
