Kyung Mi closed the heavy door to the warehouse carefully behind her. Her hair was free so she had to be careful when she started to approach the Theta house.

She looked left then right, to see if there was anyone walking around. There was no one yet, so the Night Patrol wouldn't be around.

She ran across the street to hide in the alley. That was the first place she had met AJ, but he wasn’t there today.

He would be at his house, she caught her breath for a second before running to the other end of the alley.

She didn’t check again, but just ran for it.

Running right into someone else’s body, crashing to the ground, landing on top of a hard torso.

She looked down at who she fell on and recognized the eyes. Night Patrol had blue eyes.

“Damn it.” She cursed, climbing off him and running back into the alley to hide. She held her breath as he got up and dusted himself off and looked into the darkness for her.

“I saw your face already.” He threatened. “I know who you are.” He said.

“The question is if you remember me.” He taunted.

Kyung Mi gulped, before thinking back again. His face looked the same from a long time ago.

But he wasn’t Night Patrol then. The story was that Night Patrol was born with their powers.

He couldn't possibly be that same boy from 10 years ago.

“I’ll give you a hint.” He said, walking into the alley and he stalked slowly, looking around trying to find her eyes again.

“I was 8. I didn’t discover my powers yet. And several boys were bullying me.” He said.

Kyung Mi gasped and he heard it.

He was the same boy, the one she saved.

The one she had beat up Heechul, Kyuhyun, and Siwon for.

His name was Jong Dae at the time, no markings.

“You were born to be part of the Night Patrol.” She said softly.

He found her when she spoke and smiled at her. “You grew up beautifully.” He said.

“You were always destined to be one of them. That’s why you had no markings when you were 8, unlike the rest of us.” Kyung Mi said.

“I didn’t know that, at the time. But I do now. Why do you worry about your safety?” He asked her.

“You’re Night Patrol. If caught by you, then us Marked children will get sent Punishment if caught by you.” She explained.

“I won’t turn you in.” He said.

“Jong Dae. You’re going to get in trouble for not turning me in.” Kyung Mi said plainly.

“My name is Chen now. And I won’t do it. I owe you my life for saving me from those boys. Hurry up and run off wherever you were running to. I’ll make sure, no one sees you.” He said.

“Chen.” Kyung Mi said seriously.

“Kyung Mi.” He mimicked her tone.

“Are you serious?” She asked him.

“Totally serious. Now, hurry up before Kris hyung makes his round this way.” Chen pushed her away and Kyung Mi gave him one last look before she started to jog.

And then she stopped. He gestured for her to hurry up.

“Just so you know, those boys I rescued you from, they’re Alphas now. Top of the social hierarchy.” She told him before running away again.

Chen smiled softly to himself, “Alphas, huh?” He muttered softly to himself. He didn’t know much about the system but he knew enough that Alphas were the highest and an Omega, which was what Kyung Mi was, was the lowest.

“Who are you talking to, Chen?” Kris asked him as he turned corner.

“Myself, hyung.” Chen answered.

“Are you sure? I swear I heard a girl’s voice.” Kris said.

“It’s still free time for another minute. It could have been a girl cursing for waiting this long to go back to their Quarters.” Chen pointed out.

Kris eyed him suspiciously, “Okay... Well, let’s start walking towards the male Quarters, you know what they say, women like their own beds. So the boys are sneaking back now if there are any.” Kris said, leading the way.

Chen nodded in agreement before giving one final glance behind his back, praying Kyung Mi was safe.

LOL :) Had to give some love to the unloved.. [though Kris managed to sneak in there *pokes him* yah! stop stealing the spotlight!]
