Chapter 23 – Rain Talk

When Sejun woke up, it was already 6:20 pm & everyone else went home- except for one person. Sejun sat up on her bed as she heard gentle pitter patter from outside. She looked out the window only to see rain pouring down. She gasped and grinned, excited at the fact that it was raining. Sejun loved rain, unlike most people who gets down just because the sky was crying. It was because she was comfortable of it that made her love it, but sometimes thunder & lightning doesn’t really satisfy her. She was so excited she forgot about asking who brought her to bed.

Sejun got off the bed with a giddy pace and ran down the stairs to find something to munch on while she watch the pouring rain. When she arrived in the kitchen, she met with Sehun who was making coffee.

“Oh, Sehun.”

Sehun turned back with the mug of coffee touching his lips, “Yah, why did you come down?”

Sejun blinked, “Why? Is it bad to come down?”

In a normal case, he’d say no but since he’s protective now, he nodded promptly, “Yes. Cause Chanyeol’s still here.”

“Still?”

“Yeah, he’s sleeping over.”

Sejun scoffed, “Don’t care. I was just going to get an apple-“ she paused as she reached for an apple on the table, “And go back up to watch the show~” she shrugged

“What show?”

“The rain show!” she giddily jumped with a cheery tone

This made Sehun laugh, “Well watch out for Chanyeol hyung cause he likes rain too and since there’s no windows in my room, he might sneak in to yours,” he warned, sitting on the table to drink his coffee properly

Sejun chuckled with a roll of her eyes in a playful way, “Yeah. Yeah.” With that, Sejun raced back upstairs with a munch of her apple and saw her bedroom door already opened. She wasn’t shocked though, she thought its her fault since she was in a hurry.

But as she walks in, she saw a figure sitting by the window pane. “Chanyeol…” she mumbled quietly but since it was quiet in her room as well, Chanyeol heard her.

The boy turned his head and beamed with a warm smile, “Hey, Sejun. Good evening,”

Sejun blinked at his sudden soft aura but shrugged it away and advanced towards him, “Yo.” With a munch on her apple, she sat down beside him and started to watch the rain.

“You like rain too?” she whispered

Chanyeol nodded gently, “It’s the only thing that could warm me.”

Sejun softened as a smile formed on her lips, “Same here.”

“Why doesn’t Sehun have windows in his room?” he abruptly asked after a brief silence.

“’Cause he hates the sun that tells him to get up early since he is a morning person. We both love rain but also hate thunder.”

“Ahh, that explains it,” he chuckles. Somehow, this new attitude of Chanyeol makes Sejun suspicious and surprised. Who knew rain could be so magical that it could change one’s stance?

Although, Sejun’s focus is on the rain, she can’t help but be taken away by Chanyeol’s presence. Her curiosity of his love life is growing by the minute, “Hey, Yeol?” she called

“Mm?~”

“This… ‘her’…” she recalled him calling his crush ‘her’, “Do you like her a lot?”

By her question, Chanyeol’s eyes softly dropped to the ground with a smile, “Yeah. So much,”

Sejun eyes widened slightly, “S-So… if she goes to another guy, will your heart break?”

He surpressed a soft chuckle, “Hopefully it’s not one of my friends so it wouldn’t be hard to beat him up,”

Sejun gasped loud enough for someone out the door to hear, taking Chanyeol’s attention, “I-I see…” Chanyeol blinked at her but ignored her reaction. Sejun continued to question, “Do I know her, Yeol?”

At this, Chanyeol immediately looked up in surprise. He looked down again before slowly turning his head to look at her, “Close.” Was the only thing he said.

Sejun bit her lip and looked down before looking back at him. She was instantly drowned in his eyes, ‘It’s me…’ Still looking into each other’s eyes, Chanyeol asked, “Junnie?”

Sejun blinked back softly, “Mm?”

“Is… loving someone too far from your age… bad?”

Sejun smiled softly, thinking about that one person, “As far as I know… no.”

Chanyeol smiled back, “Good.”

Sejun giggled, “Aren’t you the one who said that age is just a number?”

“Yeah, well- this whole talk that phrase was going through my mind like crazy.”

Another giggle & a chuckle echoed around the room. After then, silence took over but they didn’t mind it. The two continued to watch the rain until it stopped.

“Awww~” they both whined. Sejun was about to stand up from the pane until she tripped, “WHOA!”

Chanyeol’s eyes widened as he swiftly held her, “Aish. Clumsy,”

Sejun purposely pouted & glared at him, “Speak for yourself! You slipped on that piece of cake!” she shot back as she stood up with a cocky smirk

Chanyeol pouted, “That’s cause I’m falling for you,” he teased. He was expecting a roll of her eyes, a laugh or a smile but he didn’t expect this new emotion on her face.

Sejun looked down, as if a thought just entered her mind, which did. She remembered when she used that on Baekhyun, and ended up getting all shy. Finally, she looked up at Chanyeol who only stared at her with concern, “Psh, I know,” she finally said with a teasing smile

Chanyeol sighed in relief and chuckled, “Yeah, you better do.”

“I do,” at her last mumble, rain started pouring again, “Waah! Rain!”

LOL; I know it's not realistic and I'm doing it as if everyone's falling in love with her (which can/is maybe be wrong; >__>) but I'm just doing it to make you guys happy and satisfied. .-.
