Well I guess this is the part where I introduce myself. I’m Jessica Jung, a columnist for the New Yorknewspaper. I’m just a regular 20-something working girl trying to make her way in one of the world’s most exciting cities. I’ve been living in New Yorkever since I was 14. My column doesn’t really have a specific theme, I just write about what I know.

I live in a not-so-small apartment in Manhattanwith my roommate Taeyeon. The apartment is actually Taeyeon’s, but she let me stay there after my ex kicked me out of the apartment we shared together before we broke up. Taeyeon is what you would call a typical workaholic. She’s a real estate agent and apparently that’s all she is. While Tae let me stay with her, Yuri, my other best friend, lent me some money, because, lets face it, I’m writing for the newspaper not Elle. She, on the other hand, works for Vogue as an assistant, but she’s aiming to be a creative director one day or maybe even, who knows, an editor-in-chief. She’s very ambitious, but she’s no Taeyeon.

So, I pretty much have a normal life. Except for this one thing. Everywhere I went, I would bump into this weird guy. It was like he was following me, but he kept saying I was following him. He is basically just some narcissistic, overconfident, self-involved loser whose only job is to annoy me.
