Screams.
They screamed. The men in his troops screamed in agony, some dying instantly while others screamed in horror as they watched others roll around, withering in pain. That's when he realized it: he was on fire. He was in pain.
Myungsoo clawed at his own skin, rolling around as the fire spread. It wouldn’t get off.
"Grab him—help him! Grab Myungsoo and let's get the hell out of here!" he heard someone shout; but he fought against the hands that held him. He wanted the pain to go away, and they weren't helping enough. He could still feel the fire—the pain. He groaned in response, clenching his eyes as his skin prickled with an unknown intensity. "Stay with us, Myungsoo! We'll get a team of medics soon! Hang in there!"
He looked at them with half-lidded eyes. He couldn't feel anything anymore.
"Leave me behind," Myungsoo announced. "You can't stay with me or keep me safe. You need to get out of here. I won't make it," he closed his eyes, "and tell Amber… I'm sorry."
