Before I went to train in SM, I had to say goodbye to all my family and friends. It was really heartbreaking that I had to leave them, but they said that they'll support me 100% and they'll always cheer me on, even if I'm away.

"Take care of yourself, Yixing, okay?" My mom said as she hugged me really tightly. She was on the verge of crying. "We'll miss you, so much!"

"I'll miss you, too, mom!" I said as I hugged her back. She wouldn't let go, still.

"Honey, give the boy some air!" My dad exclaimed. "He is a man now, after all. Ain't that right son?"

My mom released me and I got to breathe normally again. "Yeah." I nodded to him.

"Now, you be good, alright?" He said to me. "Don't forget to visit once in a while." He then went up closer to me and gave me a really tight hug as well.

"I will, dad. I promise." I said as I hugged him too. Now he wouldn't let go either. I heard him sniff.

"Hon! You're going to cry too?" My mom said, starting to get all teary-eyed as well.

"N-no, of course not!" He said, backing away from me. He wiped his nose. "Aw, what the hell! My son's leaving for Korea! It's okay to cry for once!"

He then started to bawl, along with my mom. Then it hit me. He was right, I was going to leave for Korea. And I'll be away from them for a really long time. I got all teary too.

They came to me and hugged me. "We'll miss you, son!"

"I'll miss you too!" I exclaimed. It was a really emotional episode for us three. Not to mention that we're in the airport bawling our eyes out, in front of the other people who were quietly waiting for their next flight, and I was with my ever so quiet uncle, who was going to accompany me in my flight to Korea. He didn't talk to us, he just blankly stared.

We suddenly heard the announcement for the next flight to Seoul.

"Alright." They let go of me. "Be careful okay, Yixing? We love you so so much." They exclaimed.

"Yes mom and dad." I answered. 

"Take care of Yixing for us." They said to my uncle. He nodded as a response.

"Bye!" They waved farewell to us, and we waved back.

We boarded the plane, and flew to Korea.

I was feeling a crapton of different emotions. Happiness, Excitement, Nervousness, and a whole bunch of other things. I wasn't sure if I would make it, but since this was my dream and ambition to be a singer and dancer, I figured that I sure as hell WILL make it.

A few hours had passed, and they announced that we have entered Korea. 

After a while, the plane had landed on the runway, and we got off.

"We're going to the SM Building, and we're going to meet that casting director." My uncle bluntly said to me.

"Okay." I replied.

We hopped on a taxi and headed for the building.

On the way, I got to see the wide city of Seoul. It was amazing. Lights and buildings and a ton of people were there. It's almost as if I went to New York. It's a huge place, with huge infrastructures. I was so excited and yet so scared of what's in store for me.

"Here we are." He said.

We took our luggage and went inside the building. We met the casting director and he gave me the key to my new dorm.

"You're going to live with some other boys in your dorm." He said.

After he told me about what I needed to know, we left and headed for my new dorm.

"Take care of yourself." My uncle said and left me.

"Get to know each other well, okay?" Our manager said to us. We were in a room, and I was with some other guys. We bowed to him and he left the room. He said that we should get to know each other, but we didn't really talk at all. It was pure silence in the room.

"Uh..." One of them spoke up. He had a baby-face, and from what I've learned, he was even older than me. "My name's Lu Han."

We waved hi to him and nodded.

"I'm Kris." Another, who was ridiculously tall said.

"Tao." One said, who looked pretty intimidating. He was wearing pretty thick eyeliner.

I stared at the other two who were looking at each other. "I'm Xiu Min." One of them said, in a weird Chinese accent. Almost as if he was Korean.

"I'm Chen." Said the other, who sounded like the first one too.

"Oh yeah, I forgot." The really tall guy said. Then he introduced himself to the two in Korean, I think. The baby-faced guy did the same.

Then they all stared at me.

"What's your name?" They asked.

"Yixing." I answered.

They nodded and gestured for a handshake. "Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too."

"Aish!" Our senior, Jonghyun exclaimed.

"What's wrong?" Their manager asked him.

"My leg.." He said and winced in pain.

"." Their manager muttered. "Who's gonna be out there on stage with the others then?"

"I will." I stepped up and volunteered.

"You think you can do it?" Their manager asked me.

"Yes." I answered.

"Yeah, I think Lay can do it. He knows the dance perfectly." Jonghyun said.

Their manager hesitated for awhile, but eventually, he allowed it.

"Go go go!" He exclaimed. I was with the other SHINee members on stage, and I saw tons of fans screaming and cheering. And I performed.

After that, we went backstage.

"Lay was awesome!" Taemin exclaimed.

"He did great!" Jinki continued.

"I knew we could count on you, Lay!" They all cheered.

As I soaked the glory in, I knew now what I wanted. I wanted to do it for the next years of my life. Sing and dance. And I was sure of it now. I was bracing myself for the blood, sweat and tears that I have to give for the next months of training, and even after that. But I know that it's all going to be worth it.
