There was an odd silence going on between Luhan and Yixing today.

Not like anything weird happened the day before, Luhan thinks. In fact, yesterday was normal. Yesterday was good. They were being their lovey dovey selves towards each other and they were being very happy. But for some strange reason Yixing was giving him the cold shoulder. No matter how much Luhan tries, he just can't grasp Yixing's attention. He knows Yixing can see what he's trying to do, but he also knows that Yixing's trying his best to ignore him.

"What's wrong with you today?" Luhan says, tapping Yixing's shoulder. Yixing, annoyed, places his pencil on his desk and stares at Luhan coldly, hoping that Luhan will understand that he doesn't want to talk to him.

Luhan waits for an answer, still staring at him with his big doe eyes. "Well?"

"I'm doing homework." Yixing answers, his eyes on the blank page of his notebook.

"What homework?" Luhan asks, looking down at Yixing's notebook, having nothing written down whatsoever. Yixing gulps, not knowing what to answer next. He's terrible at lying. And eventually, he would spill the truth out. Just like how he spills his other friends' secrets.

Luhan chuckles a bit. He thinks it's cute how Yixing tries to hide the fact that he likes him. Or at least, he thinks Yixing likes him.

"No, really. What's wrong?" Luhan asks.

Yixing looks away, avoiding Luhan's gaze.

"Nothing." He answers him. Luhan sighs, giving up. Maybe he needs some space. After all, Yixing broke up with Kris only a few months ago, and Luhan immediately made a move on him. It's going too fast for Yixing. Especially since he knew that Kris was with Tao when he wasn't too sure about Luhan.

"You sure you're okay?" Luhan continues to ask.

Yixing gave a slight nod and went back to writing what seems like complete jibberish on his notebook. Luhan smiles, looking at the pathetic looking doodles.

But then Luhan noticed something written down that seemed to be the answer to Yixing's silence: K r i s .

Throughout the course of the day, there was some kind of barrier being held up between the two.

It was lunch and Luhan persuaded Yixing to go with him, but Yixing insisted that he'll be fine on his own and just stay in the classroom.

Luhan was getting a bit frustrated. Yixing was definitely not the silent type when he's close to him, but what if Yixing doesn't consider Luhan close to him? But then again, for the past few weeks Yixing was treating Luhan like a very, very close friend. Luhan was getting hell of confused with how Yixing was giving signals.

"I don't have to eat lunch today, though." Luhan says. "I can keep you company in the classroom."

"No really. I'm fine." Yixing insists. "Sehun and Kai're waiting for you outside. I'm okay on my own in here."

"Okay, then." Luhan replies. He gives Yixing a quick warm hug before going to Sehun and Kai. But the thing that bothered Luhan was that Yixing didn't hug him back. Not like it matters so much, but it does matter to him.

"You okay, Hyung?" Sehun asks Luhan, who was just playing with his food. Luhan stares at Sehun boredly and nods before looking back at his squashed peas.

"It's about Lay, isn't it?" Kai says teasingly.

"No." Luhan answers. Sehun's eyebrow rose.

"It's about Lay." Sehun and Kai says together and laughs.

"It's not about Yixing." Luhan responds to their annoying teasing.

"Aw, who called Lay by his real name?" Kai says, nudging Luhan's arm.

"He's the only one who calls Lay that." Sehun replies. "Well, yeah, Luhan hyung and Kris."

Luhan glances up at Sehun with a shocked expression. Kris. That's what's troubling him. Yixing kept writing Kris' name on his notebook and that means that he keeps thinking about him, thus making Luhan a lot bothered.

"So!" Kai cuts in. "Luhan, if you keep murdering your peas like that I'll just get them off your plate." He points to Luhan's plate of peas turned to disgusting looking puree.

"You can have them." Luhan moves his plate towards Kai and he stands up.

"Where're you going, Hyung?" Sehun asks.

"I'm going back to my classroom. Later." He answers quickly and he heads back to Yixing.

He doesn't know why he's going after him, but something in his gut's telling him that he should.

Over the years he's looking at Yixing with Kris, heart filled with hurt and jealousy.  And once they broke up, hope filled him that he might get him. He wasn't hesitant to try and make Yixing his, but Yixing was.

Luhan reaches the classroom and slowly opens the door.

"Yixing... you still here?" Luhan walks in, looking around the room. As his eyes met the far corner of the room, he saw nothing but a nightmare.

"Luhan!" Yixing exclaims, quickly fixing himself up. He was with Kris in the room.

"W-what's going on?" Luhan looks at Yixing with teary eyes. Kris was busy pinning Yixing to the wall, kissing him roughly, before Luhan entered the room.

"I can explain." Yixing says nervously.

"Please do." Luhan replies angrily.

"We're back together." Kris answers for him.
