Jongup looked so sad. He was crying. He was saying it’s not fair. How Zelo deserves to have someone close to his age and how I’m so close with Himchan makes Zelo jealous. He looked so pathetic that I just left. I didn’t confront him. Maybe Zelo does deserve someone better. Happy birthday to me.
Bang’s eyes lit up at the words, nodding and trying his bets to not cry for a second time. He didn’t know how long it would take him to renovate himself, but he hoped it’d be soon enough, because how much he wanted to be with Himchan made him even crazier. Before, he didn't notice all the modest things about Himchan that involuntarily drove him wild. He loved how Himchan always seemed to be near him, even if he was ignoring him. He loved how when he ate, he always pursed his lips out. He loved his cute bunny teeth, his morning hair, his full thighs and his deep, raspy voice when he sang. Kim Himchan was the quintessence of perfection, and it had taken him so long to have that smack him in the face. Yes, he wasn’t going to be fallacious to his feelings, he loved Zelo too, but he couldn’t handle his childishness. He too, had been very immature through all this, and after he broke up with Zelo, he saw a whole new side to himself. He had never realized just how frantic for attention he was until his life almost bottomed out. It was... pitiable? Yes, that was the word he was looking for.
“Ah, Himchan. Sorry I’m so pathetic.” Yongguk said, rubbing the back of his head. By now Himchan had been rummaging around in Youngjae’s and Daehyun’s drawers, unaware to Bang’s statement. Himchan whipped around and looked at Bang, looking livid as he crushed something in his hand.
“Daehyun!” Himchan shouted, rage evident in his face. I jumped, looking at him incredulously as he stood there, heaving.
“What’s wrong Himchan?” Yongguk asked, oblivious the situation. Daehyun soon scrambled into the room, hair in a mess and lips swollen.
“You interrupted me now what do you want?” he yelled back, pissed off as ever. Himchan unclenched his fist and shoved a bag into Daehyun’s face, making the boy grow pale.
“What the fuck is this?” Himchan asked, annoyed. Daehyun shifted uncomfortably and backed to run out of the room, but Himchan grabbed his collar and stopped him. Yongguk looked at what Himchan was holding and fell nauseous, getting up to stand beside Himchan in the interrogation that was about to go down.
“It’s... powdered sugar?” Daehyun said, flinching away from Himchan. Yongguk wrinkled his nose and grabbed the bag away from Himchan and opened it, smelling the substance inside. He shrugged and zipped the bag up, walking out of the room and into the bathroom. This still isn’t cleaned up. Yongguk thought as he dropped the bag into the toilet, turning around the see Youngjae behind him, arm out and despondency plastered across his face.
“I need that.” was all Youngjae said before Bang flushed the toilet, bag spiraling down.
“For what?” Bang sneered, shoving him aside. Youngjae tried to clarify his best, but everything came out in a blur to Yongguk’s ears as he walked back into the two’s room, glancing over at Himchan who had now sat Daehyun down on the bed, looking like a mother about to scold her child. Youngjae sat down next to Daehyun and set his hand on his knee, squeezing it a bit to pledge him it was going to be okay. Both of them looked down into their laps, ashamed of what had just happened. Yongguk stood close to Himchan, who needed desperately to clam down before he was going to hurt someone.
“What the fuck were you thinking?” Himchan shouted, pointing his finger at Daehyun. The younger man recoiled back, scooting closer to Youngjae in fear. Himchan stepped forward and grabbed him by the arm, dragging him off the bed and walking across the room to set him down on the other one.
“Was that his too?” Himchan inquired. Daehyun looked over to Youngjae, who was nervously fixing his hair. Yongguk noticed it too, because he only did that when he was incredibly anxious. Daehyun shook his head no, to which Youngjae spoke.
“Losing weight is really hard.” he said, biting his lip to hold back a tear. Yongguk turned to Himchan to tell him to let up, be he already had. Himchan let his shoulders drop, looking back to Daehyun, waiting to hear his justification.
“I just like it because Youngjae and I get really turned on when we take it and it makes sex great becau-.”
“Aish! I don’t need to hear that!” Himchan barked, covering his ears and shaking his head. Youngjae’s face was bright red, half from embarrassment and half because he was about to cry.
“Where did you get it?” Yongguk asked, trying to alleviate the awkwardness. By now, Jongup and Zelo had peeped inside the room and were watching the four, wondering what was happening. Seeing Zelo triggered Bang, making him stand behind Himchan and hide his face in the back of his shirt, trying to disappear. Himchan sighed, shooing the two youngest away and motioning for Youngjae to join Daehyun on the bed. He more than gladly obliged and went to Daehyun, who opened is arms and held Youngjae as Himchan continued to talk.
“Wherever you got it, I don’t want to see this again. Okay? And Youngjae, I know losing weights sucks. I have to lose five kilograms for our comeback. So don’t give me some half-assed excuse that you’re using cocaine instead of working out and eating healthier!”
Youngjae nodded and stuffed his face into Daehyun’s lap, who stroked his hair and kissed him, trying to calm him down.
“I’m sorry.” Daehyun said to Himchan before further questioning. Himchan clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth and shook his head.
“Are we going to need to get you two rehab? We might as well since I’ve been thinking I might have to throw prince charming here in a mental ward as well.” Himchan half joked, patting Yongguk on the butt.
“I think we’ll be fine” Daehyun said, positioning himself to lay down next to Youngjae, slipping his hand under his shirt and stroking his side. Yongguk rolled his eyes and left the room, dragging Himchan out with him.
“I don’t want to sleep in our room tonight.” Yongguk told Himchan as he walked down the hallway and into the living room. Himchan yanked his hand away and rubbed his wrist where Bang had gripped him a bit to hard.
“Fine with me, but I want a bed.” Himchan retorted, pivoting around to head back to his room. Yongguk huffed and threw a pillow from the couch at Himchan, hitting him in the back of the head.
“Sleep with me out here, please! I’ll even sleep on the floor and you can have the couch!” Bang pleaded, fake pout on his face and hands clasped together. Himchan considered for a second and shook his head, giving good reason.
“I’m going to sleep in Youngjae and Daehyun’s room tonight to make sure they don’t do anything else. But if I walk in on them banging, I’m coming back out here.”
Himchan walked off and Yongguk heard a knock, then a knob turn, then sheets and bodies scrambling to be covered. He waited as Himchan’s footsteps came back down the hall and he looked at Bang, face red and twisted with disgust.
“I’ll take the couch.”
I’ll always be here for you. Always waiting. I’m never going to leave you.
Himchan situated himself uncomfortably on the couch while Yongguk rolled around, equally as displeased on the floor. Both of them knew the other was awake, but neither of them wanted to initiate any conversation, lest a touchy subject arouse. Himchan grunted as he hit his heel on the table in front of the couch when trying to adjust his legs, cursing under his breath.
“Mm you okay?” Bang mumbled out, propping himself on his elbow to look at Himchan. Himchan nodded and turned away from him, Yongguk’s face turning sour from behind. Both of them laid there in silence for ten minutes, fifteen, and thirty. They just couldn’t sleep. There was far too much noise from Youngjae and Daehyun, and Himchan could have sworn they could fuck all night if it so pleased them. It wasn’t until he was sure that they were done that he even attempted to close his eyes. How he wanted sleep to take him away was something he was begging for, but his mind wouldn’t let him have it. He felt like he was being watched, by whom, he knew all too well. Yongguk stirred in his false sleep, most likely trying to get the attention of Himchan, but he would not give way. Still listening to the world around him, Himchan heard unfamiliar noises from down the hall. Not from Youngjae’s room, but rather, Jongup and Zelo’s. It sounded like... they couldn’t be.
“Do you hear what I’m hearing Himchan?” Yongguk asked with a shaky voice, sounding like he was on his nerves edge. Himchan supposed Bang had noticed his tense body, but he nodded in compliance to the question and rolled off the couch lazily.
“You feeling okay?” Himchan asked, nudging Yongguk on the back to assure he was still moving. His whole body was cold and every nerve was laden with electricity manifested from anger and disappointment. Yongguk stiffly nodded his head, which was a blatant lie. Himchan rolled a bit closer to the older and placed a hand gingerly on his shoulder, giving it a firm yet awkward pat.
“So...” Himchan asked meekly, trying to drown out the sounds that were growing louder from the room down the hall. Himchan noticed Yongguk’s body convulse out of disgust when he heard the clear sound of Zelo, whimpering Jongup’s name brokenly. In one swift move, Bang had rolled over and wrapped his arm around Himchan, pulling him in and laying his forehead on his, eyes sparkling with sadness.
“Looks like all the time he needed to sort himself out was a night alone.” Yongguk choked out, forcing a smile. Himchan couldn’t help but to feel bad this time around. He had no intention of caving in to Yongguk’s charms for a good solid week, but this was terrible on him. He couldn’t lay back and watch Bang shake in misery like this, he just couldn’t. He took his hand from beside him and wrapped his arm close around Yongguk’s waist, closing the gap between their bodies so their chests were flush with each other. Noticeably, Himchan’s breathing sped up, and Bang took note of it. He looked down and smirked, shaking his head.
“We’re only in close quarters, stop freaking out so much.” he taunted, pulling him in closer. Himchan’s breath caught in his throat as him and Bang’s eyes met. They were mesmerizing to Himchan. Something about the way the glowed in the soft light coming from the kitchen made his eyes like and endless ocean. Though the color didn’t match, who was he to care?
“You’re beautiful.” Himchan said, face heating up and turning a soft pink. Bang’s eyes grew wide and he flashed a smile, face turning redder by the second. With no response, all he could do was giggle and cover his mouth. Himchan giggled at his reaction to his words, and before either of them could regain their composure, they were just holding each other and laughing, blushing like mad.
“You’re such a dork!” Himchan snorted, making Yongguk laugh more, doubling over and clutching his stomach. Displeased from the release, Himchan gave his waist a harsh tug to pull him back in. Yongguk stopped laughing immediately and looked at Himchan, who had averted his look elsewhere.
“Hey,” Yongguk whispered into his ear, sending shivers down Himchan’s spine. “May I kiss you?”
Himchan’s body froze, and he looked at Bang with anxiety in his eyes, fearful of where this was going to go.
“If you don’t want me to, I won’t.” Bang quickly said, hoping to not let the moment turn stale. Himchan looked around frantically and nestled in closer to Bang, seeking comfort.
“No, I just. You can kiss me.” Himchan said, shy as ever. Yongguk chuckled and put a finger under Himchan’s chin, lifting his face to look at him. Bang’s eyes drifted along the edges of Himchan’s slim, peachy lips, licking his own as the surveyed them. Himchan’s mouth slightly parted, letting out a small sigh. Yongguk smiled, lowering his head to reach Himchan’s. Without any hesitation, Himchan moved his head up to hit the eldest' lips, kissing him lightly. Bang pulled away after a few seconds, leaving Himchan wanting more. He pulled Bang back down and crashed their lips together again, not caring about what was to come. He wrapped a leg around Yongguk’s waist and parted his mouth, waiting for the other to obtain total dominance.
