Zelo’s been avoiding me and I don’t want to talk. I know it’s coming.

Yongguk dove under the bed and fumbled around for the phone until his hand hit it. Trying to fend off Himchan, he pushed the receive button and an unfamiliar voice rang through the phone.

“Kim Himchan! How dare you not pick up your phone when I call!” yelled the voice in a shrill tone. Bang winced, but brought the phone up to his face and replied.

“This is Bang Yongguk, Kim Himchan can’t make it to the phone at the present moment. How may I help you?” he asked snidely, knowing who was on the other line. The voice again spoke up, but this time, bitterly.

“You must be the other faggot.” she said. Bang could almost see the disgust on her voice just by the way she said it. His face hardened and he looked at Himchan, who was curled up in a ball and rocking himself back and forth.

“Yes, this is the other faggot speaking. You must be my boyfriend’s darling mother.” Yongguk retorted, lips curling into a snarl. The woman came back with more intensity.

“Yes, this is his darling mother. The one that’s been trying to put him back on track and telling him to break up with you because I don’t have a gay son.”

“Wow, you’re absolutely right! He’s bisexual! He still likes women!” Yongguk said in a mocking surprise. He heard a scoff from the other end.

“Sweetheart, or rather, demonic child, you don’t understand. My child does not like boys. He’s straight, and you’re just driving him off way.”

Yongguk laughed, throwing his head back and winking at Himchan.

“So even you’re agreeing I’m so dashing that men can’t fight my charm? Please, you’re flattering me.”

Himchan’s mother growled, fighting the urge to yell.

“Pass the phone to my son.” she demanded, venom in her voice. Bang clicked his tongue and scooted over to Himchan. Himchan looked up at him, but he held up a finger.

“Hold on one moment.” Bang said calmly, putting the phone to his shoulder to ask Himchan a question.

“Do you want to talk to her?” Yongguk asked gently. Himchan held out his hand for the phone, but instead of passing it, Bang placed his hand on it and slipped it to the side, placing his fingers in between Himchan’s, gripping his hand lightly. He looked Himchan in the eyes and brought the phone up to his face and spoke again.

“He’ll talk to you, but I’ll tell you this. If he starts crying, I’ll track you down and beat you like you beat him. I love your son more than I love myself, and if you can’t be happy for us, then you’re a shittier mother than I expected. Please, if anything, if you yell at him, don’t punish him for whom he loves. We’ve been though a lot, and he’s been a rock in my life. You’re son may have not done much for you, but he’s done the world and then some for me. I’m begging you, please let up on him or don’t call again.”

There was silence on the other side of the line, then a sigh, then a sniffle. Yongguk looked confused and almost passed the phone over, but Himchan's mom told him to wait.

“How could you love my son!?” she choked out, practically spitting the words. Yongguk flinched back at the hatred she conveyed and tried to keep his calm.

“How could you not love your son?” he questioned back, voice shaking with fury. Himchan’s mother drew in a shaky breath and exhaled, trying to composed herself.

“No, honestly tell me, how could you love my son? I’m at a loss as to why anyone could like him romantically. It’s really quite a mystery. He has no good qualities. He’s a failure; he’s irresponsible, a troublemaker, and overall ugly. Have you seen him? He’s fat, and he’s awkward, and he’s not even smart. He majored in music because he couldn’t make a grade for an educational field! Did you know that?”

Yongguk pushed the phone away from his ear and mouthed ‘I love you’ to Himchan before he resumed talking.

“He’s got plenty of good qualities, but what’s the point in listing them if you’re only going to bring him down more? I’m not going to hand this phone over to your son, because I know you’re going to make him cry, and I hate seeing him cry. Just know that your son has changed from when he left the house. He’s successful, well mannered, and gorgeous. Did you know he’s the visual of the group he’s in? He’s got a lovely voice, and he’s lost weight. He’s still awkward, but that’s part of his charm. And he majored in music because he loves it. And he wouldn’t have made it into college if he weren’t smart. Why can’t you put aside the past and accept your son as he is now?” Yongguk yelled, fiercely pulling Himchan into an embrace. By now, the younger was in tears, gripping on to Yongguk’s shirt like his life depended on it. His mom spoke up again.

“I want to talk to Himchan.” she said, malice underlying her request. Yongguk shook his head.

“What are you going to say to him? He’s already crying. What more do you want?”

Yongguk could have sworn he heard his mother whisper ‘He’s still a pussy’ under her breath, but she sighed and replied.

“I want tell him I’m sorry.”

From the floor, Himchan heard the words and shot up, snatching the phone away from Yongguk.

“What did you say?” Himchan asked, amazed.

“I wanted to tell you I’m sorry.” she repeated, tone solemn.

Yongguk watched Himchan’s knuckles turn white and his teeth were bearing. A low growl emitted from his throat.

“You know what, mom? Fuck you.”

I’m really worried about Yongguk and I don’t know what to do.

Himchan spouted words to his mother he didn’t even know he possessed in a string of fury, not even stopping when Yongguk put his arms in a vice grip.

“I hate you mom. At first, I was scared of you, but how dare you talk to my boyfriend like that! So what if I’m dating a man, big deal! You just have insecurity issues because dad cheated on you with a man, and now you’re afraid of losing your son! When did you ever really have me though? Huh? You kicked me out and beat the crap out of me because I wasn’t good enough and now you’re reprimanding the man I love for my past actions? He treats me like a princess, and you’ve done nothing to deserve me in your life. I hate you mom. Fuck you. If I ever figure out you’ve called here again, I’m calling the police or someone to make sure you get thrown in jail. I’m changing my number, and if you figure it out, don’t call. Never try to look for me. Don’t contact me or Bang. Don’t be a part of my life.”

Himchan pulled the phone away from his ear and promptly hit the end call button. He sighed a sigh of contentment and lay down on the floor, hands covering his face.

“I did it Bang, I told her to leave me alone.” Himchan said happily, smiling like a child. Tears still fell from his eyes, but Yongguk wasn’t sure it was from misery or bliss. Himchan proved him which one it was when he sat up and grabbed him by the collar, pulling him in for a kiss. The kiss was brief, but passionate. Himchan leaned back and tugged Yongguk to lie down beside him. The older man complied and landed on the ground with a resonating thump, making Himchan jump a bit. Yongguk laughed lightly and placed his hands on Himchan’s shoulders, smiling at him.

“I’m so proud of you, princess Kim Himchan.” Bang sang out, making a kissy face at Himchan after he spoke. Himchan giggled a bit and his cheeks became rosy at the words. He hid his face with his hands and rolled on the floor until he accidentally hit his head on the side of the bed that he was closest too. Yongguk tried to stifle a chuckle, but it made him only laugh more. Himchan sat, rubbing his head and scowling at Yongguk. The older man stopped laughing abruptly and stared into Himchan’s eyes, looking for some sign of contentment, but he found none.

“Are you okay?” Bang asked, sliding towards Himchan and kissing his head where he whacked it. Himchan snuggled into Yongguk’s chest and sighed deeply, shutting his eyes and taking in Bang’s smell. His scent was faintly that of cologne and some sort of flower, namely lavender. It was an odd combination, but it soothed Himchan. Nuzzling his face into Yongguk’s shirt, he took a deep breath and set his head down into Bang’s lap, waiting for his hair to be played with as usual. As expected, Yongguk’s hands were placed on Himchan’s head and his hair was soon in between Bang’s fingers, being twiddled with and lightly pulled. Himchan loved it when his hair was jerked for some reason. He let out a slight whine when Yongguk tugged on it a little to hard, and Bang said and apologetic ‘sorry’ as he kept pulling the golden locks. Himchan’s whole body was heavy from lying down, but he didn’t want to move to a bed if it meant being separated from Yongguk. Himchan groaned and Bang moved his hands away, putting them at his side.

“No, keep playing with my hair. I just want to move to somewhere more comfortable” Himchan complained sleepily, putting his arms up to be grabbed.

Yongguk smiled wide and took hold of the younger’ delicate hands, hoisting him up and then softly pushing him back onto his bed. Himchan flopped on his back, then brought his legs up to lay parallel on the bed. Bang soon joined him, laying next to him, but leaving enough distance so that Himchan could comfortably position his arms. Yongguk cupped his face with his hands and pushed his cheeks together, making Himchan chuckle. Bang grinned and kissed his protruding lips lightly, making Himchan’s face grow red with embarrassment.

“You’re absolutely amazing, you know that?” Bang asked Himchan, who was now a dark shade of red. Himchan shook his head and pulled a pillow out from under his head and hid in it. Yongguk grumbled slightly and tried to wrestle the pillow away from Himchan’s face, but he was surprisingly strong. Yongguk straddled the seemingly smaller man and grabbed his arms tightly, trying to pry them off the pillow that was covering his features. Himchan was screaming profanities in a playful tone while shaking his head back and forth.

“Come on, let me you your beautiful face!” Bang shouted, crashing his face into the pillow too and grinding it in. Himchan yelped in surprise and locked his fingers in Yongguk’s hair, pulling it back and allowing just enough room for Bang to grab the pillow and slip it away from his visage. Himchan smirked, and with their current position, he slowly lifted his head and nipped at Bang’s neck, making the older man whimper in pleasure. Himchan smirked darkly and bit down sharply, causing Bang to throw his head back and bit his lip to suppress a moan.

“H-Himchan” Yongguk whispered out breathily, trying to keep his cool. “N-not now. We have to go work.” he said, lightly pushing off Himchan.

The younger pouted and rolled off the bed, landing on his feet and turning around, offering a hand. Yongguk sat back and ran his hands through his hair, catching his breath before standing. He noticed Himchan smirking and he lightly smacked him on the butt, making him squeal. Triumphant, Yongguk ran ahead of Himchan and flung open the door, leaving him to stand in the room alone, awkwardly rubbing his ass, which was now beginning to hurt.
