Jessica's side

Staring into the vast blue sky, a distance from the airport,
planes were taking off 1 by 1, into the high, unreachable sky.

"Yuri.."
"Please come back to me soon okay..?"
"6 months.. i'll be waiting.."

After watching the planes taking off for like 2 hours,
Jessica finally got on the car with her chaffeur&headed back to the office.
Working back at her office, Jessica was trying to use all the work to occupy her time&mind so she wouldnt think of Yuri all the time.
Ever since Yuri left Jessica, Jessica had been going home late at night&leaving house early in the morning for work.

"Ms Jessica"
"You're back" greeted butler lee

"Oh yeah" replied Jessica coldly

Jessica didnt have any mood for anything ever since Yuri left her.
She appeared really happy&lively when Yuri skyped with her or went on phone with her.

"Butler lee" called Jessica suddenly
"Next time, dont wait for me"
"Just go&rest"

"Oh?"
"Its okay Ms Jessica"
"Im not tired" smiled butler lee weakly

"Its an order" said Jessica as she turned back to her room.

Plopping on her bed exhausted, Jessica was falling asleep when she heard a slight knock on the door.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"May i come in?" said a man with a deep voice

"Appa..?"
"Since when are you back here..?" asked Jessica as she suddenly sprung up from her bed

"Why are you so tired?" asked Mr Jung as he sat on Jessica's bed
"Are the company matters tiring you out?"
"You can take a rest you know, Sooyeon" said Mr Jung worriedly looking at her daughter

"I thought you wont be back for another 2 months?"

"Not happy to see me?"
"Well, i came back only for a few days" smiled Mr Jung
"At least i get to see you for a few days&im leaving"

"Oh.."

"So tell me, why are you so tired?"
"Butler lee told me you've been like this for weeks already"

"Nope, theres nothing much"
"Probably just that there are more work to do these few months" lied Jessica, averting Mr Jung's gaze

"Hmm.."
"What about Yuri?"
"Where is she?"
"Shouldnt she be taking care of you?"
"Supervising you?" asked Mr Jung

Jessica's POV

Appa..
Are you doing it on purpose..?
Im trying to keep Yuri off my mind by working everyday so late..
Butler lee should have told you that Yuri left..
Why must you rub salt into my wound..?

"Yuri.."
"Left.. to take care of Nickhun.." said Jessica softly as she hugged Mr Jung
"Just.. let me stay like this for a few minutes appa.."
"Few minutes.."

Mr Jung's POV

Sooyeon..
I know its hard, missing Yuri like this..
But appa's heart is also aching seeing you so exhausted&sad everyday..

For a few minutes, the father&daughter actually really stayed in that position.
While Mr Jung felt wetness on his shirt, he just kept quiet&caressed Jessica's hair,
comforting her with his warm pat on her back.
Jessica had slowly sobbed herself to sleep, looking at her weary daughter,
Mr Jung sighed&slowly shifted her back to the bed, pulling the covers over her.

"Sleeptight Sooyeon"
"Feel better" whispered Mr Jung as he switched off the lights for Jessica

The next morning, before Mr Jung woke up,
Jessica had already woken up&gotten ready for work.
Since it was early, she didnt want to wake the chaffeur up just for her irregular work hours.
So, Jessica quietly left the mansion&took the public bus instead.
Walking down the quiet streets in the morning, everything felt so calm&relaxed.
It was actually the best time for people who wants to think about things.

Waiting at the cold bus stop quietly, with earphones plugged into her ears.
Jessica couldnt help but be reminded of the times she had with Yuri.

Flashback;

Before Yuri left for UK, when Jessica&Yuri was 18.

"Sica, do you think its safe for us to sneak out?"
"You know, out of your house" asked Yuri worriedly as Jessica dragged Yuri along the streets

"Whats so worrying?"
"Look, its so nice being out here early in the morning"
"The cool morning breeze~"
"Plus, appa doesnt even bother with me"
"He's just gonna shout at me later for not helping him out with his work or something"
"Its the holidays"

During the school holidays of Jessica's, Mr Jung would always force Jessica to work for him.
Not leaving any rest time for Jessica during the holidays.

"But its not good for your health"
"Being in this cold weather" said Yuri worriedly

"I dont care~"
"I love spending such quiet times with you Yuri"
"Lets walk to that bus stop, sit for awhile"
"Listening to the music" said Jessica waving her ipod infront of Yuri
"And have Mcdonalds breakfast later!" grinned Jessica widely
"Come on, lets go"
"Its coldd~"
"Brrr~" said Jessica as she held onto Yuri's hand tightly for warmth

"Cold?"
"Told you" sighed Yuri as she held onto Jessica's hands&put it into her coat's pocket

End of flashback;

"Aish.." sighed Jessica sadly

Jessica's POV

Why cant i just get Yuri off my mind..?
Its been only a month since she left..
I've been skyping with her regularly&calling her regularly..
Why does my heart still feel so empty..?

Soon, the bus arrived&Jessica went up the bus quietly.
Just then, her phone rang.

*PHONE CALL*

"SICA!!" exclaimed Yuri excitedly over the phone

"Hey Yul" replied Jessica sounding as happy as possible

"SICA! ahh~"
"I missed you so much" whined Yuri over the phone
"Can you turn on the video function?"
"Lets have a video call" suggested Yuri

Jessica's POV

Video call..?
Im on the bus..

End of Jessica's POV

"Okay"
"I missed you too"
"1 minute" said Jessica as she fixed her hair&everything to not look too tired to Yuri
"Done" added Jessica as she the video function

"Anyeong Sica!!" said Yuri happily waving her hands at Jessica

"Anyeong Yuri-ah"
"How's Nickhun?" asked Jessica

"Oppa?"
"He just went through the surgery last night"
"Looking good though"
"Theres lots of treatment for him to go through"
"I've finally managed to find time to call you after he's asleep" sighed Yuri

"Are you tired Yul?"
"If you are, go&rest"
"Im fine" lied Jessica with a weak smile

"Ani, how can i not call you?!"
"Anyway, where are you now?"
"Bus?! Where are you going so early?!"
"Shouldnt you be at home now?!"

"Hahas, reminiscing memories"
"Of you"
"Im missing you so much" said Jessica

Half of it was a lie, the other half was quite true.

"Aww~" yawned Yuri
"I miss you too"
"Sica-ah, have you been eating well?"
"Why do i have this feeling that everytime i sees you"
"You get thinner&thinner?" pouted Yuri
"Are you going to work?"
"Why didnt you take your car?"
"Its so cold out there in the morning ah Sica"

"Take a chill pill Yul" smiled Jessica
"Yup im going to work"
"I thought its so early, i didnt want to wake my chaffeur up" replied Jessica, avoiding the question on her weight loss
"Yuri.."

"Yup?"

"I really miss you.."
"A lot alot.." said Jessica with teary eyes

Jessica couldnt keep it to herself any longer.
Keeping it any longer, she would definitely collapse one day.

"Sica-ah"
"Dont cry!!"
"Hajima!!" exclaimed Yuri worriedly over the phone
"Dont cry please Sica-ah!!"

"Sorry Yul"
"I just couldnt keep it any longer"
"But its okay, dont worry about me" smiled Jessica as she wiped off her tears
"Really okay, just a sudden rush of emotions"

"Sica-ah.."
"Im sorry.." apologised Yuri over the phone
"Im sorry to make you feel so sad"
"Im sorry.. for everything.." said Yuri sadly

"Aniya"
"Sorry Yul, im getting you worried"
"Just dont worry about me, take care of Nickhun&yourself well"
"I'll be waiting for you" said Jessica, fighting back her tears
"I got to go, alighting now"
"Hope to see you soon"
"Love you Yul, go&rest now"
"You had a hard day" added Jessica before ending the call

"Love you too Sica.."

*END OF PHONE CALL*

Jessica's POV

How could i?!
Pabo Sica!
How could i actually show my tears to Yuri?!
She's already worn out with Nickhun everyday, how can i make her worry about me?!

Walking into the quiet building, Jessica was really sad&disappointed in herself.
She knew she shouldnt have said those words to make Yuri worry for her.
Sitting on her big arm chair, resting her head on the desk which soon made brought her to her slumberland.
Working so late everyday, not getting sufficient rest, its natural for Jessica to lose weight&feel so tired.

Soon, the sun rose&Jessica was awaken by a knock on her door.

"Ms Jessica?" called the secretary

"Err yes?" replied Jessica as she slowly sat up rubbing her eyes

"You have a meeting with the other division head"

"Now?"

"Erm yup" said the secretary
"I've gotten all the materials ready"
"You just have to be there"

"Oh okay"
"Will be there in 5minutes" replied Jessica as she quickly stood up from her seat, walking out of her office.

Just as she was walking out, she tripped over her own feet tiredly&hit her knees against the corner of the coffeetable.

"Ouch!!!" squeaked Jessica loudly

Blood was oozing out of Jessica's kneecap.
The sharp corner of the coffeetable had pierced into Jessica's kneecap,
causing it to bleed.

".." cursed Jessica as she limped over to the table, grabbing some tissue to stop the blood from bleeding by applying some pressure on it.

Limping slowly to the meeting room, Jessica sat down on the chair while the meeting goes on.
After a good 45 minutes of meeting, it had finally ended.
Jessica was feeling a little light-headed already, looking at her knee,
she was shocked to see that the tissue was soaked with her blood.

Jessica's POV

Aish..
Why didnt it stop bleeding?!
Its 45 minutes already!

After everyone left, Jessica slowly staggered back to her office.
She was feeling all dizzy&weak.

"Morning Sooyeon" greeted Mr Jung happily as he entered the office with a Mcdonalds paper bag on his hand
"Look what i've brought!"

Mr Jung was trying to cheer Jessica up, for the absence of Yuri.
Although he knew it was hard, but he's trying.

"I know you love pancakes"
"I've bought you pancakes&reserved my breakfast time for you"
"Have to get back for other meetings right after this"
"Come lets have our breakfast" said Mr Jung as he walked over to the coffeetable, laying everything out nicely for Jessica

"Appa.." called Jessica weakly

At once, Mr Jung knew something was wrong.
He rushed to her side immediately but was shocked to see so much blood oozing out of her knee.

"What happen?!" exclaimed Mr Jung in shock but Jessica just fell onto Mr Jung motionless
"Sooyeon!" shouted Mr Jung as he violently shook Jessica to wake up but to no avail.

Mr Jung quickly scooped Jessica into his arms&dashed for the door.
It was actually pretty amazing to see Mr Jung able to carry Jessica&still run for the door.

An hour later, in the hospital, the doctor came out of the emergency room.

"Doctor, how's my daughter?"

"Oh, she fainted because she lost too much blood"
"We had given her a blood transfusion already"
"Think she fell down or something&cut her knee"
"Pretty deep, thats why it didnt stop bleeding"
"We've stitched it up, its nothing much except that its advised that she doesnt move too much" said the doctor

"Thats great to hear"
"So how long does it take for her to heal?"

"Around 4-5weeks?"

"Oh okay"
"Thanks for your hardwork doctor!" said Mr Jung before the doctor left

Walking into the ward, Mr Jung looked at Jessica disapprovingly with his head shaking left&right.

"Sooyeon-ah.."
"Whats wrong..?"
"How did you fall?"

"Appa.."
"Bianeh, i woke up from a little nap of mine"
"And i tripped over my own legs while rushing to go for a meeting" replied Jessica awkwardly

"Aish.." sighed Mr Jung as he looked at the bandaged knee
"Is it painful?"

"Ani" lied Jessica

In fact, its actually hurting quite a bit for her.
Not wanting Mr Jung to worry for her, she just lied about the pain.

"Ahh.." said Mr Jung as he looked at his watch

"You can leave first appa"
"Dont worry about me" smiled Jessica

"Dont worry?"
"You must be kidding me!"
"You better stay in bed for this few weeks"
"Doctor says its advisable for you not to move around much" said Mr Jung
"I'll ask butler lee to pick you up" added Mr Jung
"I'll come back right after i've finished my meeting"

"Araesso appa.." replied Jessica, slightly disappointed.

2 hours later, butler lee appeared in Jessica's ward.

"Anyeonghaeseyo Ms Jessica"
"Are you ready to leave?" asked butler lee politely

"Yeah" said Jessica as she attempted to stand up but fell right back into the bed due to the pain from her knee
"Ouch.." winced Jessica

"Come, sit here"
"I'll wheel you out" smiled butler lee as he pushed the wheelchair over to Jessica

"NO!"
"Never! i dont wanna sit on a wheelchair!"
"Never in my life!" exclaimed Jessica
"Just pass me a pair of crutches"

A few minutes later, butler lee returned with a pair of crutches.
Clenching her teeth against the pain, Jessica left the hospital.
