"Sunbaenim, how's she?" asked Yuri worriedly as Nickhun got out of the surgery theatre

"Calm down Yuri"
"Geez, you look so exhausted" commented Nickhun
"She's fine for now, but she's lost too much blood&our blood bank is currently short of O+ blood"
"Anyone here with blood group of O+ or O-?" asked Nickhun as he turned to the crowd

"Sunbaenim"
"Take mine!"
"Take mine! As much as possible!"
"Mine's O-!"

"Yuri, are you crazy?"
"Take yours as much as possible?"
"What do you take yourself as?"
"Do you think you're a blood producer?"
"Do you know its gonna harm your health too?"
"You're a doctor yourself!" scolded Nickhun disapprovingly

"Precisely because im a doctor i know how to take care myself!"
"I know how long it takes for my blood to replenish!"
"Take mine NOW!" demanded Yuri impatiently

In the blood donation room

"I really dont know about this Yul.." started Nickhun as he was preparing the blood donation for Yuri

Because Yuri's his hoobae, Nickhun wanted to do this for her.

"Just do it sunbaenim" said Yuri as her closes her eyes for Nickhun to insert the needle into her veins
"Just take as much as Sica need"

"Yuri.. Its dangerous for you.."

"Sunbaenim, have you been in love?"
"If you've been in love, you would have understood how i felt"
"Giving whatever i can just to save the one i truly most" explained Yuri

"Anyway, i'll be taking 2 packs of blood from you"
"If you dont feel well, please tell me!" instructed Nickhun carefully

"By any chance can you actually call me oppa than sunbaenim?" asked Nickhun suddenly

"Its okay if you feel uncomfortable about it" smiled Nickhun as he walked away

"Kwenchaena oppa!" shouted Yuri which earned herself a cute chuckle from Nickhun

Outside the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ward

"Doctor, can i go in to visit my daughter now?" asked Mr Jung who had been standing outside the room for sometime now.

"Oh?"
"Sure you can"
"But please dont wake her up, she's extremely weak now" smiled Nickhun kindly
"Hey you must be Mrs Kwon right?" asked Nickhun as he stretched out his arms for a handshake with Yuri's mum

"Oh yup i am"
"Nice to meet you"
"Where's Yuri now?"

"Oh, she's in the blood donation room"
"She'll be out in maybe in 30 minutes time if all is well"
"Dont worry Mrs Kwon" assured Nickhun before walking away

Mrs Kwon then settled outside Jessica's ward, waiting for Yuri patiently.

Inside Jessica's ward

"Sooyeon.."
"Appa's sorry for bringing all these upon you.." sobbed Mr Jung as he held onto Jessica's hands tightly while tears flowed freely down his face.
"Appa's really sorry, appa should have given you more attention&love"
"Appa shouldnt have done this to you.."
"Dont leave appa.."
"Dont leave me like how your omma did.."
"Sooyeon.." cried Mr Jung as he buried his head onto the bedside of Jessica

Jessica's dream

"Wow.."
"This place is so pretty, calm&somehow makes me feel so relaxed" said Jessica as she laid onto the green patch of land, staring into the clear blue sky.

"Princess.." called a really sweet voice

"Hmm..?"

"You shouldnt be here, princess"

Now the voice slightly clearer&from afar, a familiar figure was approaching Jessica.
Wondering who's the mysterious lady, Jessica shot up from the green patch of land.
As the figure was approaching Jessica, it made Jessica's eyes watered.

"Omma..?" called Jessica as she ran forward&hug the lady
"I missed you omma!"
"I really really do!"

"Aww.."
"Princess, life's been hard on you right?"
"After omma left you.." said Mrs Jung sadly as she sat down on the green patch of land with Jessica
"Omma had been watching over you, believe me"
"I've seen what appa has done to you.."
"Dont blame appa okay, princess?"
"Appa's just sad over my departure" explained Mrs Jung kindly as she held onto Jessica's hands
"Princess, you shouldnt be here.."
"You know.."
"Appa's waiting for you.." smiled Mrs Jung
"Go back now but remember to take good care of yourself okay princess!"
"Omma cant watch over your health.."
"Bianeh, saranghae princess!" shouted Mrs Jung as she disappeared into the a bright beam of light.

"OMMA!"
"OMMA! KAJIMA!"
"Bring me with you!!" cried Jessica who was running after the beam of light

End of Jessica's dreams

"OMMA!"

"Bring me with you!!" cried Jessica

"Sooyeon..?"
"Sooyeon, wake up"
"Dont leave appa with omma!" cried Mr Jung as he shook Jessica violently, trying to wake her up.

Suddenly, machines started beeping furiously.
Within seconds, Nickhun&nurses were rushing into the room.

"Get ready"
"200 charge!"

"Charged"

"Clear"
"Shock!" said Nickhun

"No heartbeat"

"250 charge!

"Charged"

"Clear"
"Shock!"

"No heartbeat"

"300 charge!"

"Charged"

"Clear"
"Shock!"

*Beep Beep Beep*

"Heartbeat's back doctor"
"But its really very weak"

"Give her a stronger dose of heart strengthener" instructed Nickhun
"Mr Jung, can we go outside&have a talk?"

"Talk..?"
"Ah sure" said Mr Jung

In Nickhun' office

"Mr Jung"
"I would like to discuss something with you"
"Your daughter, Jessica"
"Did you know she had a really bad heart problem?"
"Her heart valve is no longer working anymore"
"We need to get her through the surgery to replace it with a new one"

"Then what are you waiting for?"
"Money isnt a problem at all!" exclaimed Mr Jung worriedly

"Calm down Mr Jung"
"First, i need you consent"
"Then, i would need to ask Jessica if she wants an artificial tissue heart valve or mechanical heart valve"

"Whats the difference?"

"Well, the difference is"
"Mechanical heart valve relies on regular medication&the medication has side effects to getting bruises easily&sounds of the clock ticking could be heard every second"
"While artificial tissue heart valve dont"
"However, mechanical heart valve can ensure that if regular medication's taken, there wont be any problem for her heart valve"
"As for artificial tissue heart valve, overworking herself would have cause major problem" explained Nickhun seriously
"And because it'll be her third time going through this major surgery, it's a little risky"

"Then go for mechanical!"
"Why ask!"

"No Mr Jung"
"From the past records, Jessica had chosen artificial tissue heart valve no matter how hard her doctors had persuaded her to get the mechanical heart valve"
"Plus, we have to seek the patient's decision instead of patient's parents/guardian because its in their own body, you see"
"So please calm down"

Yuri's side

Yuri was walking dizzily back to Jessica's ward, but to see Mrs Kwon who was dozing off outside Jessica's ward.

"Omma.."
"Omma.." called Yuri softly

"Hmmm..?"
"Yuri, you're here?"
"How're you feeling?" asked Mrs Kwon as she saw Yuri's right arm folded up into half

"Im fine omma"
"Omma, go back home&rest"
"You're tired" said Yuri concerned

"You sure?"
"Do you want to go back with me to rest?"
"You looked really pale, Yuri" said Mrs Kwon worriedly

"Dont worry, im fine omma"
"Just go back&rest" smiled Yuri assuringly

"If you say so"
"I'll be back tomorrow morning" smiled Mrs Kwon as she turned to leave

In Jessica's ward

Yuri was standing beside Jessica's bed side,
staring into the fragile&pale girl.
Yuri didnt know that Jessica's heart actually stopped just now, for a few seconds.
If she knew about it, she could really faint on the spot.

"Sica-ah.."
"Get well soon for me.." said Yuri softly as a tear fell off Yuri's face

"Oh, i knew you would be here" said Nickhun as he entered Jessica's ward
"Was looking for you"

"Oppa..?"
"Whats wrong..?"

"I wanted to tell you that i've arranged a heart surgery for Jessica to replace her heart valve"

"Heart surgery?"
"Are you confident of it oppa?"
"Do you think Jessica can take it?"
"I want her to be out of the operating theatre alive you know!" exclaimed Yuri dizzily as she staggered a few steps

"Woah!"
"Easy!" said Nickhun as he held onto Yuri&placed her on the sofa behind them
"Im confident" smirked Nickhun
"As long as Jessica doesnt have any complications, im sure it will be a success"
"Dont worry, you can join me in the operation theatre if you want" offered Nickhun kindly

"Really..?"

"Yup im here to actually wait for Jessica to wake up"
"I wanna ask if she would like to have an artificial tissue heart valve or mechanical heart valve"
"And Yuri, dont you remember my nickname?"
"The Mighty Surgeon Hands!" joked Nickhun

"Hahas.."
"I think Sica would definitely choose for artificial tissue heart valve.."
"Judging from her character&past records.."

"Yeah.."
"I think so, since you think so too then i think there's no need for me to ask then!"
"Yuri..?" called Nickhun as he saw Yuri slowly falling into darkness.
"Sigh" said Nickhun as he laid Yuri down on the sofa&came back into the room minutes later with an IV stand&drip.

Nickhun was giving Yuri an iron drip to raise her iron level.
Her iron level went really low after donating so much blood to Jessica.
Iron was needed a lot to help Yuri get her blood back, especially now.
After getting the infus&drip going, Nickhun took a blanket from the logistics&covered it over Yuri.

"Yuri, saranghae.." said Nickhun as he light pecked on Yuri's pale face before leaving the room.

The next morning, Mrs Kwon came into the room early in the morning with porridge for Yuri, Jessica&Mr Jung.
But Mrs Kwon was shocked to see Yuri lying on the sofa with a drip going on.

"Yuri.."
"Yuri.." called Mrs Kwon worried

"Omma..?"

"What happened to you?!"
"You said you were fine last night!" exclaimed Mrs Kwon

"Oh..?" replied Yuri as she turned to see the drip behind her&the infus in her hands.
"Argh.."
"Must be Nickhun oppa.."
"I think i passed out last night.." said Yuri awkwardly
"But im fine now" smiled Yuri
"Where's Sica's dad..?" asked Yuri as she tried removing the infus away

"YURI!" scolded Mrs Kwon while smacking Yuri's hands
"Dont!"
"Nickhun did it for a reason! Dont remove it till he says so!"

"Omma.."
"Im fine already.."
"Im a doctor myself too!" protested Yuri

"So what if you're one?"
"You're one to Jessica but you're a patient to Nickhun"

"Thats right Mrs Kwon"
"You've hit it right on the spot" smirked Nickhun as he entered the room
"Yuri, told you you cant donate so much blood"
"Did you know how dangerous it was last night?"
"Your iron level was super low!" commented Nickhun

"Oppa.." said Yuri, motioning him to keep quiet

"Why?"
"Should you let Mrs Kwon know about it?" grinned Nickhun evily

"YAH OPPA!" shouted Yuri which woke Jessica up.

"Yu..ri..?" called Jessica weakly

"Sica..?!" replied Yuri as she quickly moved to Jessica's bedside&sat down.
"Sica-ah!! I missed you so much!!"
"I was so afraid last night, that you would leave me!"
"Sica, dont scare me like this again okay?!" cried Yuri as she hugged onto Jessica tightly

"I missed.. you too.. Yul.."
"I saw my mum.."
"I almost.. left with her.." said Jessica softly

"YOU CANT!!"
"HOW CAN YOU!!"

"Im just.. tired of.. my life.."
"Being.. a burden.."
"But my.. mum didnt.. want to take.. me with her.."

"She did the right choice for not taking you with her!"
"If not i would have died with you!"

"Dont Yuri.."
"Dont.."

"Its my life, not yours Sica"
"So you better not do anything silly"
"You'll be well soon, Nickhun oppa has arranged a surgery for you"
"He's confident of making you well" said Yuri as she wiped her tears away

"Yup, anyeonghaeseyo Jessica-sshi"
"Im your doctor-in-charge"
"Nickhun imida" smiled Nickhun

"Anyeong..hae..seyo..Nickhun..-sshi.."

"And Jessica, from what i've heard from the your past doctors&Yuri"
"You would get an artificial tissue heart valve instead of mechanical one right?"
"Just to make sure"

"Yup.."
"Artifi..cial.. tissue.. heart valve.." replied Jessica weakly

"Okay then, thats it"
"You just have to rest now&the surgery is in a weeks time" smiled Nickhun
"And you!" said Nickhun as he pointed fiercely at Yuri

"What?"

"Take care of yourself!"
"Dont ignore your health too, especially after donating so much blood!"
"If im going to find you anywhere in this hopsital unconscious, you're dead" warned Nickhun as he exited the room

"Yuri..?"
"You donated your.. blood..?"
"For what..?"

"For you babe" smiled Yuri
"I wanted to save you"
"You were losing too much blood"

"You shouldnt.. have done that.."
"Its dangerous.."


"But im fine now, arent I?"
"So dont worry about me, worry about yourself first"

"Sigh.."
"Yu...ri.."
"Where's.. my appa..?"
"Did he.. leave me.. again..?" asked Jessica with a tint bit of disappointment in her voice

"Your dad?"
"Nope i dont think so, i saw him talking to Nickhun oppa last night"
"I'll go&look for him"
"Wait here"

Just as Yuri was about to exit the room to look for Mr Jung,
Mr Jung appeared at the door step of the ward looking surprised to see Yuri there.

"You're here" said Yuri coldly
"Sica's looking for you"

"Oh, how're you feeling Yuri?"
"Saw you lying on the sofa last night, so i went out" said Mr Jung

"Like you see, im feeling whole lot better"
"Just go in, Sica's afraid that you would leave her again" snapped Yuri impatiently as she exited the room pushing her IV stand out.
