Awkward and Unexpected

{Your POV}

You sat down onto the kitchen island and sighed, I am so bored.

As if on cue, Lay walked into the kitchen, he was staring at his feet. You raised an eyebrow at him, he resembled a ghost. 

"C-Can I talk to you?" He mumbled. 

You furrowed your eyebrows and nodded, "sure." 

Lay fiddled with his fingers and took in a deep breath, his bangs were covering his eyes completely. 

"I know you don't talk to me much but," the visible parts of his face were beet red, "I just want you to know..." 

You cocked your head to the side and raised an eyebrow. 

"You want me to know what?" You said blankly. 

"I want you to know, I," Lay shuffled his feet, "I kind of, like you."

You cleared your throat and furrowed your eyebrows. 

This is awkward.

"S-Should I not h-have told you that?" 

You looked at Lay. 

"No it's, fine, but that was very unexpected." You cleared your throat.

What brought this on?

He looked up. 

"I guess the answer is very obvious, but, do you, you know?" Lay shuffled his feet.

You didn't have to think about it. 

"Sorry, but, I-." 

He cut you off, "it's fine, I guess it was just a crush, I just needed it off my chest." 

You bit your top lip. You felt extremely bad, and lets face it, that usually never happens.

"I hope you don't think of me as a freak now." Lay sighed. 

You cleared your throat, again. 

"I don't, but why did you choose to tell me now?" 

"I just wanted to tell you and get over this little crush because I know it isn't something, too big." Lay sighed. 

"That's okay then." You laughed slightly. 

Se Hun rested his back against the kitchen door. Thank God she turned him down.

- Later On That Day - 

{Lu Han's POV}

Se Hun, Tao, Chen, Kris and I were playing an intense round of snap.

That's when Lay walked in.

"Lay! Wassup bro?" Kris laughed. 

Lay beamed, almost like he was trying to hold in laughter.

"Guess what." Lay said.

"What?" Chen raised an eyebrow.

"I got a girlfriend." Lay smiled.

I noticed Se Hun's eyes got wide. 

"Who?" Tao questioned. 

Lay looked behind the door frame and made room. 

~~~~~ stood beside him. 

My brain won't function.

WHAT?

IS HE JOKING WITH US OR SOMETHING?! DID HE TELL HER?!

I, I can't even open my mouth right now. 

Kill me now.

Everyone's mouth was agape. 

I can't speak, help me.

"Yo." ~~~~~ said blankly. 

"Y-You?!" Tao started.  

"A-And!" Chen continued.

"Her?!" Kris finished. 

Lay nodded innocently. 

~~~~~'s expression was blank, I am forever alone.

"When? How? Why?" Tao blinked uncontrollably. 

"Today, I confessed, and she accepted." Lay smiled. 

Kris burst out laughing, "dude, she's way out of your league."

Lay glared at the EXO-M leader before turning to ~~~~~.

Back off buddy boy.

"Let's go break the news to the others." Lay smiled. 

Then the two walked away. 

I swear I heard faint laughter when they walked away. 

"That was completely unexpected." Chen spoke, blankly.

"Very." Tao added. 

"Does Lay like her?" Kris cocked his head to the side. 

I paid no attention to the fact he was talking to me.

"Lu?" Kris snapped at me.

"What?" I looked up.

"Does Lay like her?"

I bit my lip, then Se Hun shot up, "I'll be back in a minute." 

With that he left. 

I stood up too, "I'm going to, just to see what he's doing, bye." 

I started to follow Se Hun down the halls. 

"Why did you leave so quickly?" I questioned Se Hun, following him upstairs.

"I heard their conversation in the kitchen, she turned him down." Se Hun stared in front of him.

"So?" I cocked my head to the side.

"How could they be together?" Se Hun asked me. 

"Maybe after you left she said yes?" I suggested. 

"I'm not so sure about that." He sighed, opening the door to his room. 

Se Hun rested against his door frame, "do you think, she likes him to?"

I smell jealousy here, don't worry about me, I still haven't fully recovered. 

"I am not so sure about that." I shook my head, "the time she was acting all cute, he touched her arm and she immediately got mad at him." 

Se Hun sighed and turned to face me.

"I will figure this out." 

Then Se Hun shut his door. 

I couldn't help but laugh. 

Hohoho, he likes her too, great, more competition for me.
