12 males sat in a circle, silently eying a steady-growing sapling in the center, patiently awaiting the arrival of their last member. A sudden gust of heavy winds disturbed the peace maintained by the 12 Legends.

"You're late," the head, Leeteuk sighed, not looking away from the sapling.

"Well pardon me, Mr High-and-Mighty," the latest, Kyuhyun, began sarcastically but was cut off by a sharp glare sent by his counterpart from the North, SungMin who had the ability of telekenesis. The man cleared his throat and started over. "There was trouble in the South."

"Have you driven out the Evil before coming here?"

"Duh, that's why I'm--" Kyuhyun recieved another glare and stuck with a simple "Yes".

"Good. Take a seat," Leeteuk told the latter, gesturing to an empty space then waiting for the man to sit before he proceeded with the meeting. "I'm sure you all know why I've gathered you here today. For those who don't, you should at least know that Evil is on the rampage on our beloved Planet. What you see in front of you now is what I believe is our salvation..." He gestured to the sapling. "The Tree of Life contains a mysterious force which I have found to only exist in Earth, which happens to be the only planet within a million lightyears that hasn't been affected by Evil."

"But this tree's ability to protect our home is just a theory," one of the 12, Siwon, voiced out.

"I'm afraid so," Leeteuk answered. "But it's a chance we're going to have to take." There was silence for a while until one of the Legends spoke again.

"You're hiding something." Kangin, whose ability was to control earth, stated.

Leeteuk nodded slowly.  "This is only a short term solution." He paused as the circle began to stir and mutters began. He waited for complete silence before he continued. "You are all going to have to sacrifice your powers for this Tree to reach its full potential."

"Are you insane?" Ryeowook, who had the ability of controlling light, voiced out. "Giving up our powers for a Tree--"

"A Tree that potentially save our Planet," Leeteuk interrupted.

Ryeowook became silent, shrinking back into his cool, stoic exterior.

"But you do realize that it's not just our powers at stake here," Yesung, the man who could control lightning, interjected. "Our powers are part of our souls. If something goes wrong...."

Leeteuk let out a sigh as a silence took over the circle again. "Once again, it's a chance we're going to have to take." He stood up and placed his hand on the Tree. "You all know how to channel your powers. Feel free to join me." He closed his eyes and the tree glowed a dim green colour. One by one, the Legends joined him leaving only one.

The man looked hesitantly at the formation the legends have taken around the Tree and was compelled to join them when the ground shook uncontrollably.

Leeteuk's eyes burst open. "Kangin, control yourself. Focus--"

"That's not me," Kangin fearfully told him. A loud, earpiercing screech echoed around the Legends and they all faced Kyuhyun.

"You said you got rid of it!" Sungmin said, slightly hysterical.

"I did!"

"Focus!" Leeteuk demanded, closing his eyes once again. "It's not too late!"

The last Legend, no where near the Tree could only gulp in fear as a dark cloud swirled around them. It didn't take long for Heechul, capable of healing, to notice him. "Join us!"

"Heechul!" Leeteuk shouted, bringing the latter's attention back.

"But--!" A fearsome roar interrupted him as the cloud slowly solidified. The Legends, in the order they went, went out cold, leaving only Heechul. "You have to hurry," he said weakly. The last Legend digested the situation and made a beeline towards the Tree, not noticing an agile shadow following him until he felt a searing pain in his chest.

"!" he cursed, dropping on his knees.

"HANGENG!" Heechul shrieked but he, too, passed out before he could do anything to help his injured friend.

The cloud let out something between a cackle and a victorious scream but it didn't take long before it was replaced by a cry of pain. A force field of some sort exploded from the Tree, expelling the forces of Evil and because of the sacrifices made by the Great Legends, ExoPlanet was saved... For now.
