Going Native...
Description
Officers Wu Yi Fan and Huang Zi Tao are set to go undercover to investigate a potentially harmful religious sect that resides in the outskirts of Seoul. Both Officers are experienced in covert participant observation, but the risk of going native is one which is always present. Potentially more so when it comes to religious sects. Wu Fan and Tao are best friends and have been since police training school, both being the only Chinese recuits to the force. They had a sort of social solidarity between themselves, both Chinese and both painfully shy. What happens when Wu Fan starts to struggle to differentiate Officer Wu Fan and Sect Member Kris?
Foreword
Going Native: Where the officer ceases to balance the roles of participant and observer and, instead, simply participates like any other group member. An officer who goes native effectively stops being an officer.
Religious Sect: A Religious body, a highly controlling, break off religious group generally from a lager religion, examples are: The Church of the Unificaiton, Ohm, Heaven's Gate, The Amish. These groups are often called 'cults' by the media.

"This sect have been overly active in the suburbs of Seoul. We're concerned that their member increase, and the suspicious activity around the area could be the warning for a mass suicide or a declaration of war on the rest of society. You two need to go in and find out what they plan to do, so we can stop it before it gets too bad."
