Chapter 8

Minhyuk's POV:

I was partying with some girls when I heard them gossiping about Youn Ju. I asked them what it was about,

they told me that she was out there flirting with guys and that her acting cute was probably her asset on attracting men.

"Who cares, let her be. I think the guys just talk to her becasue she looked trashy and out of place," I said coldly.

"Why were you with her then?" the bitch asked.

"I'm not. She followed me here and grabbed my hand without permission," I lied.

I felt a pang of guilt after saying it out loud, I can't help it but feel jealous after what that bitch said.

"Aww.. poor girl. She's probably a jailbreak from a mental institution."

Then I saw her pass by, I couldn't read her expression well but she looked like she's not in a good form.

Then I saw a tall guy followed her, showing off eh?

Like I even care, so I just shrugged off what I saw.

Then something on the back of my mind reminded me that she didn't even want to go in, how could she be flirting?

She didn't even know how to flirt. I quickly stood up, the girls looked at me with dissapointment.

"Sorry ladies but I have to go."

I can't believe that I even actually believe them. I went to where I last saw Youn Ju.

I saw her wave back to the guy before he left, I didn't get to see his face though if I did, I would hunt him and beat him up.

Youn Ju's POV:

I went back inside holding the handkerchief tightly and found an angry Minhyuk waiting for me.

"Yah! What were you doing with a guy?" he gripped my arm and asked angrily.

"Since when did you care? A selfish guy like you wouldn't even bother if I get lost." I stated.

"It's in the contract remember?" he said then glared at me.

"Yeah right," I crossed my arms then rolled my eyes.

He glared at me again but this time he walked away.

"Yah! Where are you going?" I shouted as I try to catch up to him, but no matter how much I shouted he just ignored me.

I stopped at my tracks and looked at him, wait, why is he like that? Is he jealous?

Of course not Youn Ju! Don't be silly! Maybe he was just in a bad mood again.

"Yah! I asked you a question!" I said but as usual he just ignored me.

He got into his car and drove off.

I still waited for him though but he never came back, so I decided just to take a bus ride home.

By the time I reached the mansion I was already exhausted. Then I noticed harabuhjee at the garden drinking his tea.

I just continued on walking as if I didn't see him.

"Youn Ju," he called me and motioned me to sit beside him.

So I went towards the garden and sat beside him.

"Why didn't you come in together with Minhyuk? Did something happen? Did you guys fought?" harabuhjee asked.

"Harabuhjee, aniyo. It's just that while I was with Minhyuk earlier I remembered to go to the mart to get my last paycheck. Minhyuk even insisted on giving me a ride there but I declined it," I lied.

I excused myself then headed inside the house, "If you only knew what your grandson really did," I whispered then sighed.

I headed upstairs to my bedroom only to find a sleeping Minhyuk on the other side of my bed.

"Yah! Lee Minhyuk! Wake up!" I shook him but he wouldn't bulge.

I sighed again, I was too tired to force him to get out of the bed so I just let him sleep there.

I got a pillow and the blanket then placed it on the sofa.

I got to the bathroom and changed then after that i made myself comfortable in the sofa then drifted off to sleep.

Minhyuk's POV:

I was at my room's balcony when I saw her arrive. She looked really tired, seeing her like that made me feel more worse.

Then harabuhjee called her, he asked why she didn't arrive home with me.

I told myself to get ready, she might tell him the whole truth.

That I was a jerk to her, that I only paid her, and all the worse things but instead she put the blame on her.

Why would she do that? She hates me right? Why would she cover for me?

I was really curious so I made a plan, I snuck into her bedroom and pretend to fall asleep.

I wonder what she'll do? I heard the door clicked open and shut closed.

After seeing me on the bed seh tried waking me up, but seconds later she gave up.

I took a peek and saw that she grabbed the pillow and the blanket and placed it on the couch. I can't believe that I judged her.

Hours later, I sat up on the bed to take a glimpse of her.

Then my heart started beating fast, I walked towards the sofa and saw her sleeping figure.

My harabuhjee was right, she indeed is pretty and has a pure heart.

The strands of her hair fell into her face, I brushed it up and put it behind her ear.

My hand brushed her cold cheeks, when I did that, I can now hear my heart beating faster, but so what?

I think I'm falling for her, it's alright if she won't acknowledge it and if she doesn't feel the same way.

I was a jerk to her and this is my consequence.

I carried her bridal style from the sofa and laid her gently on the bed.

I brushed my hand into her cheeks one last time and said, "Good night Youn Ju. Miahne."

I looked at her for the last time and closed the door of her room.
