Junior year was ending quickly.

Finals were coming up and as usual around this time of year, you did nothing but study. You were practically living in the library.

On a rainy Friday, L. Joe offered to take you home but you shook your head, “I’m going to-“

“The library, I know.” He rolled his eyes. “Why don’t you take a break and not go today? You’ve been going every single day. Even on Sundays. You skipped out on a party last week.”

“I’m not a party person.” You sweetly smiled and shrugged.

L. Joe had to chuckle, “You want me to come pick you up? It’s dangerous at night.”

You shook your head, “It’s just down the street from my house.”

“You sure?” He raised an eyebrow.

You nodded.

“All right. Fine.” L. Joe shrugged.

“I’ll see you on Monday. You should study, too, since the final is on Monday.” You squeezed his hand and left. “Me? Study?” Laughing, L. Joe left.

You stayed until the library closed. You packed your stuff and headed out the door. You yawned and rubbed your tired eyes. With a sigh, you trudged home. Suddenly, someone blocked your path. Slowly, you looked up.

“~~~~?” The boy asked.

“…Yes. You are?” You asked.

He smirked, “You're L. Joe’s girl, right?”

Your eyes widened and you stepped back. You didn’t like the look in his eyes at all.
