51- A Bit More About Earth

[ Narrator's ] Point of View:

"What happened to you two?" Lay was leaning in a shade against the wall. Sehun and you had just gotten out of the Teleportation Room, and you jumped after hearing Lay's voice.
 

"YAH! Stop scaring me like that!" you squealed, "I nearly had a heart attack!" Lay smirked and looked at Sehun's and your soaked suits. He was wearing a clean, crisp, and white suit, which looked a million times better than the mess you were in.

"So you showed her the beach?" Lay asked Sehun, then turned back to you, "And sorry. You already know that I hang around dark corners, so you should have expected me." Aish, that boy, you rolled your eyes, he's fucking going to scare the living daylights out of everyone here.

Sehun smiled slightly after seeing you roll your eyes, "Yep, I showed her the beach. Then, somehow, we ended up in the water." He narrowed his eyes accusingly on you.

"What?" you snorted and crossed your arms, "You were the one who pushed me in!" Lay stifled a laugh and coughed.
 

"Okay, lovebirds," Lay stepped in between Sehun and you before anyone could shoot another accusation, "I suggest you guys get back to whatever you were doing before, and stay out of whatever's beyond the reform. Jin Ae in the wild spells trouble."

You pouted and murmured, "You're not the boss of me," but followed his instructions anyways. Sehun shrugged and headed back to your dorm, where piles of electronics were probably still on the floor. You were about to walk after him, but Lay grabbed your wrist.

"Jin Ae?" Lay looked at you puzzledly, "Are you sure you're okay?"

You looked at him innocently, "What do you mean? I'm sad that I have to leave, if that's what you're asking."

Lay shook his head and sighed, "Never mind. I thought I saw something abnormal. You're a mortal now, right?" Does he seriously not know? you asked yourself, Everyone at the reform knows that Lee Jin Ae is a mortal. No magic. Nada.

You nodded your head as Lay seemed to be watching something in the air above you. Meh, magic, you shrugged, I can't see anything, so I don't have to worry about it.

"I'll be going now," you walked away slowly, "Gotta finish packing up. I didn't even realize I brought so many video games and discs!" Lay waved goodbye hesitantly then disappeared into the shade again. Oh, so that's why he's so white and pale, you realized, Anyways, I need to check on Sehun.

[ Sehun's ] Point of View:

Oh my fucking god. I never thought that I would be able to clean Jin Ae's room by the end of the day. But then again, I never knew girls could be this disorganized.

Jin Ae walked into the dorm carrying two Ice Teas. Sipping one of them through a straw, she asked, "Whaddup?"

"Whaddup?!" I shook my head, "That's all you say when I have completely finished cleaning your room?" Jin Ae walked over slowly and brushed a finger on the cabinet.

"Well, this doesn't look completely cleaned," She laughed and showed me the dust that was gathered on her finger, "Whatever. You didn't really have to do anything without me." Jin Ae closed the door behind her and belly-flopped onto her bed while sighing.

I tugged on her sleeve, "Jin Ae–ah. Tell me more about Earth." Jin Ae looked really tired and homesick all of a sudden, as if she was torn between EXO Planet and Earth.

"Well," Jin Ae began, "Humans use electricity, which is what's in my computer. The lights and machines here are powered with magic from Lightning Elementals, right?" I nodded my head and listened intentively.

"So electricity runs through wires and things similar to that, and powers up a large amount of things on Earth," Jin Ae described and smiled slightly at my cluelessenss, "You seriously don't remember anything about that?"

I shook my head, "No, not really. Being on EXO Planet has been so epic, that I forgot the two boring years that I've had on Earth as a kid," I tucked a strand of Jin Ae's hair behind her ear.

Outside, the sky was getting darker, and voices could be in the hallway. Lights were also flickering off because some professors were drawing the magic away. I really couldn't believe that the lights actually depend on that thing called electricity.

"Then there are cellphones and computers," Jin Ae grinned and fumbled in Hyunsin's bag,"You already saw my computer, but here's a cellphone." She held up a hot pink device that was sticking out of Hyunsin's bag. Right when she said that, the door creaked open.

"Jin Ae dongsaeng?" Hyunsin poked her head in the room, "It seems like you're kind of busy right now, so I'll be staying in Chanyeol's room. He's got popcorn. AND PUT MY PHONE AWAY. WHO LET YOU TOUCH MY BAG?!" Woah, I never knew the cranky side of Hyunsin, I smirked.

"Mian unnie~" Jin Ae apologized sweetly, "And good night!" Hyunsin muttered something under her breath and slammed the door shut. Jin Ae chuckled and whispered, "We should probably sleep too. You can stay here for the night if you want."

Jin Ae yawned, stretched her arms, and just lay down on her bed. I could tell she was already asleep because she wasn't responding to my shakes. Her face was so peaceful, I just wanted to leave her there like that forever.

"Good night," I kissed her cheek and covered both of us with a blanket. Soon, I fell asleep with my arms wrapped around her waist.
