45- Your Agreement with the Eye

[ Narrator's ] Point of View:

"Come on, time is money," the voice cackled, "Never mind. I have all the time in the world!" You watched Sehun groan in pain in the force field around him. What the fuck do I fucking do? you nearly screamed.

"Fine take it!" you pulled on the necklace. It scratched your neck as you ripped it off, like it was begging you to let it stay on your neck, "I don't want it anyways!" You thrust the necklace onto the ground and stomped on it angrily.

The face in the sky was amused, "Stupid girl. What's the necklace worth? There's nothing to it!" It cackled as you felt yourself blushing a deep crimsom. I'm not fucking stupid, you thought to yourself, And if he wasn't referring to the necklace, then what WAS he talking about?

"What are you talking about?" you yelled into the wind, "What do you want, then?!"

There was a pause, then the voice snickered back, "Your power of course! Together, we can rule everything magical and more!" There was a long cackle, and it felt like the face was holding a hand out to you. You felt tempted to take it, and release Sehun from the pain.

"W-Why should I?" you replied, hoping for a reasonable answer, "If I follow you, then you must release Sehun!"

"Ah, young love," the voice mocked, "Every young creature's weakness– even demons." It snarled then added, "Sure, as long as you don't have any tricks up your sleeve. I would rather watch him die right there, but I guess I'll just let him die of old age."

You crossed your heart, "I swear that I won't have any tricks. Cross my heart and hope to die. You have to swear, too." The face seemed to have leaned forwards, allowing you to see it's face better. Who is it? you furrowed your brows, I know it... somewhere.

––FLASHBACK––

Cackling laughter.

Demons and unimaginable evil– moaning,

Drifting out of hell.

One demon above all,

Ruling.

Gaining strength over the years,

Immortal.

A pure tree, still young,

Releasing hundreds of the Light.

Moaning, the demon disappears.

Disappates,

Trapped in an unreachable dimension.

––END OF FLASHBACK––

"Hoping to die and burn in hell, long lives my promise," the demon finally finished his circumlocuting riddles. You stood there, dazed.

"I–I know you," you muttered finally, "You're–You're the first demon." The demon seemed to have smirked, and it wore a proud and smug smile on its face.

"Go on, stupid girl," the demon encouraged you to continue, "It's about time you remembered me; your creator." My creator... you hung your head down, why of all creatures?

"You are the Eye," you recognized, "Everything evil belongs to you... but why would you want me?"

There was a blinding light and you covered your eyes with your forearm. When your eyesight recovered, you saw the demon itself, standing in front of you. No more tricks and games. No more indirect conversations.

"Because you were the strongest and most successful demon I created," he, or it, explained, "The only one, in fact. The other 'demons' were terrible and atrocious fails." He swept his hand, as if no life were important to him.

"Follow me," the Eye coaxed, "Remember your promise." You gulped and slowly took his cold blue hand. You looked down and saw that his fingernails were a deep shade of blue... freaky.
 

"You have to remember your promise too!" you yelled, "Release Sehun." The Eye sighed and flicked his wrist. Sehun slumped onto the ground and exhaled heavily. You rushed over and kissed his forehead, saying, "I'm sorry."

"Why?!" Sehun yelled at you, "You should have let me die! Now everything is going to be ruled but that, that monster!" Your eyes betrayed you, and you were slowly sobbing. Everything's going wrong. WRONG.

[ Lay's ] Point of View:

"Can you please tell Jin Ae that if she makes contact with the Tree, then her powers will disappear?" the professor added quickly before popping out of the room.

"But what Tree? And what did you say?" I panicked and asked him confusedly. Kris flew back and got ready to fly Tao and me to wherever Jin Ae was.

"None of your business," the professor snapped, "Your job is to deliver the message, not comprehend it!" He left it at that, and teleported away.

"Have you found her yet?" I asked Kris eagerly. He shook his head and replied, "We got the rough area, but there's some sort of force field preventing us from moving any farther. Same with Kai." I hung my head down, frustrated.

Kris grabbed Tao and I's arms and flew us to the destination as fast as a jet. I could feel my ears pulsing, and the wind beating against my face. How can Kris even survive this grueling process of high-speed flying?

After thirty seconds or so, I squinted and saw a bright light of red. I pointed to the area, and Kris nodded, comprehending what I meant. I knew that if I opened my mouth, then the fast and sharp wind might get to me, and it won't be pretty.

"Didn't see this place before," Kris muttered, "Kai's probably leading the rest of the guys here, but it will take a few minutes for them to catch up."

I could make out the shape of Sehun slumped against a tall tree that resembled and oak, and Jin Ae was confronting a stranger. Looking closer, I realized that it was him. The Eye. The most feared soul in the universe.

What could he possibly want from her? As Kris approached the area, I yelled, "JIN AE! STOP! YOU COULD BE MAKING THE WORST MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE!"

I landed safely on the ground as Jin Ae spun her head around. Fear was written across her face, but gratefulness was hidden. I could tell she was pretty happy to see me.

"Stupid girl," the Eye turned away from her and snarled at me, "Guess I have to do this the hard way." 

Let's just say he grew. Grew VERY fast. Before I knew it, I was facing an almost-immortal demon the height of three Empire State Buildings. [A/N– Yes, Lay knows the Empire State Building]

Holy mother of magic. What the fuck did Jin Ae get me into?
