The Journey Begins on a Prom Night
History (Korean Version)- EXO K
History (Chinese Version)- EXO M
Narrator's Point of View:
You've always known that you were special. Well, not always, but almost always. For as long as you could remember, you recognized yourself as a human who could perform magic. Real magic.
Of course, there would always be your mom, who swore she was 100% human, to say that you weren't allowed to tell anyone else this because "they will get jealous." If your mother was a human, that would mean that your dad gave you that "special side", but you couldn't find out the truth because you have never seen him before.
You've always tried to help people with their pathetic little problems, but sometimes...
Sometimes, your magic didn't go your way, and the consequences would be light, though other times, these accidents would get you stuck on a whole new planet with twelve gorgeous guys, but danger lurking in every corner...
Prom night. That awful, awful night when you realize that you don't have a boyfriend yet. Gah. You leaned against the cool, white wall overgrown with exotic plants and shoved your earphones into your ears.
The crowd was talking and yelling loudly over your music, so you ducked into the bathroom to have a little peace. The door stopped the outside noise from invading your musical thoughts.
"Hmm-hm," you hummed to the catchy song and started tapping your feet. This was your wonderland. You didn't need any boy, you just needed music to make your life complete. You maxed up the volume a bit and left yourself in a trance, until it was broken by the high-pitched sobbing of a girl.
"Hello?" you looked around, "Is anyone here?" A sharp sigh came from the last stall, which you kicked open.
"Hai, aren't you Young–, eh, Young something?" you squatted down and asked the girl. She looked up at you and nodded, her eyes filling with tears.
"What are you crying about?" you asked in a soothing voice, "Can I help you in any way?" She is an abject, miserable creature.
"I-it's just th-that e-everyone has a p-person to go with to the p-prom," she wiped her eyes and stutterd. Sure, you didn't count as part of everyone.
"And you don't have one?" you asked Young-something. She nodded and buried her face in her knees. You looked up, rolled you eyes, and sighed, "Hey, stop crying, you. I'll fix it, but you have to promise me that you won't tell anyone about how I had helped you."
"Mm-hmm," she replied, "I promise. Just, please help me!" Young-something begged you.
"Okay then, here it goes," you sighed. You closed your eyes, and muttered, "Love spell."
"Now, who do you want to go with you?" you asked Young-something, as she looked up at you, smirking. "What?" you asked her.
"Well, are you like a pixie or fairy? Sprinkling magic dust everywhere?" she snickered, and you cracked your neck.
"No, I'm not actually. You should appreciate what people do for you," you huffed angrily at her, "Now answer my freaking question!"
"Uh-heh, that Senior guy with a blue streak down his hair," she said quickly, as her cheeks burnt pink. You imagined the boy and placed your hand on her forehead. She looked up, confused.
"Okay, I'm done," you said, exhausted, as you felt some magic flow out of you, "Now, just wait and watch the magic work." She slowly shuffled away from you. You slumped down and continued listening to your music.
"Aarrghhh!" Young-something screamed out,"Help me! Help!" you felt a spark of energy and ran out of the bathroom, flinging the door open.
"Help me! Get him away from me!" she ran out the school doors as a crowd stopped the boy who you had put into a love spell. Oh, no, you thought to yourself, Something went wrong...
The teachers dragged him back from the girl as he yelled, "Wait Youngsun, I love you! Wait for me!"
"Who's responsible for this?" the principal asked angrily, "I won't believe one bit that this was pure love." Her nose was flaring and she looked directly at Youngsun. You wanted to crawl away right there.
"Miss! SHE did it," Youngsun pointed straight at you with angry eyes, "She cast a spell, and–"
Time froze. And you were the only thing moving.
