chapter twenty six - taunting.

Just like how the whole female population of our class went towards Ren and Minhyun as soon as the lunch bell rang, Mihi and I also went towards them.

The troubled look on Minhyun and Ren’s face told us how much they were suffering. After all, they had suddenly become the most popular guys in the whole school. I still wondered how it had happened just over a night.

Mihi and I just watched from safe distance, hoping that the other girls would leave, so that we could privately talk. About the thing mother had wanted.

And strangely, the thing mother wanted met with the thing I wanted.

In some ways.

Few minutes passed like that. Mihi and I both got the feeling the girls won’t go away any time soon and Minhyun and Ren wouldn’t move a muscle until they were gone.

I sighed. “Let’s go. If they want to join us, they’ll meet us after school.” I told Mihi. She nodded in agreement. We both just turned our backs to Minhyun to leave when we heard Minhyun call my name.

Well, at least the name he had given me.

“Madam G.”

Mihi and I both turned towards him. His eyes looked as bored as usual, but I could tell he had been wanting to say something to me for quite a while.

I gave him a questioning look. Both of us had become the topic of attention as he walked stood up and walked towards me.

“About after school today.” He said, cocking his head to a side, towering over me. “I’ll talk to Jonghyun.”

I couldn’t help but smile. “Can’t I just talk to him?”

“No.”

“Because he’ll obviously say yes if I do?”

Minhyun smirked and lowered his face to my level. “And you called me Arrogant Prince.”

“They’re just facts.” I said, unable to hide my glee. “But if you’re going to come, then meet us later okay?”

He nodded and messed with my hair. Glaring at him playfully, I turned around and lead Mihi out of the room.

After school (LOL, K-pop pun!), the whole of NU’EST met up with me and Mihi by the entrance of the school. Surprisingly, they looked really good.

Good, as in disciplined.

They had their shirts tucked in, ties fixed, hair done properly…it was almost as if they had met up with a scolding of Eunbi unnie!

I also noticed that most of the piercings and accessories they wore were missing too. Most of them. JR and Baekho had their gloves on while Ren was wearing his pink shoes and Minhyun had his Gray’s bracelet on his right hand with a Rolex watch. Aron looked the most disciplined, without anything…well, unnecessary.

“Oh my god, they look as if they almost know that they’ll be meeting you mom, Yuri..” Mihi whispered to me as we walked up to them.

“But they couldn’t…right?” I whispered back.

“Who knows.” Mihi shrugged.

Despite the fact that they looked orderly, they still looked cold on the outside. They still had their gang aura with them.

“Hey..” I greeted them silently when we were facing them.

“Hey to you too.” Baekho spoke. “So…how are we supposed to get to…”

“Recording studio.” Aron provided for him.

“Yeah, that place.” Baekho asked.

“A van would pick us up. You all look…surprisingly disciplined.” I said.

“As unbelievable as this is, Minhyun made us look like this.” Baekho said. “Kept saying it was for payback for the time we made him dress up in a suit.”

“That’s good.” I smiled and then looked up at Minhyun. He had his headphones stuck in his ears with his eyes shut tight, his head moving at the beat of the music. “What’s he listening to?”

“Ask him.” Baekho said.

Mihi and I exchanged a glance. Mihi was standing next to Ren, and looked rather…uncomfortable while to Ren, on the other hand, it was almost as if Mihi wasn’t even there.

It was cute.

Mihi and Ren.

“Do you, by any chance, know who might come by to check on us?” JR asked. “I mean…we’ve never performed in front of an audience.”

“Oh you don’t need to worry about that. You probably won’t notice that anyone is there. Well, other than me and Mihi.” I said.

“How? Are the judges, or whoever they are, strict?” JR asked again.

I couldn’t help but laugh. “There’s a little possibility. I have no idea. But you aren’t supposed to know that you’re being judged. I was only asked to bring some friends, so you’ll only be going as my friends. Even though we know the hidden intention.” I shrugged.

“You’re being used, you know that, right?” Aron asked.

I nodded, cheerfully. “I don’t care even if I am being used.”

“Why? If I were you, I’d have thrown a fit.” Ren said.

“But you’re not.” I said. You’re not a child of a perfectionist. “And it’s kind of obvious that you would.”

“Why are you letting yourself being used? Can’t you just…I don’t know! Refused?” Baekho asked.

“I thought of it first. But in this way, it’s a win-win, isn’t it? You guys, I have no doubt, will get selected as trainees and the company also gets some benefit from you.” I explained.

“But you’re still being used. Don’t you feel the least bit angry? And why don’t they choseyou as trainees? You’re as equally talented as we are.” JR said.

“It’s complicated.” Mihi said. “And Yuri can assure you that there is hell no way that we are equally talented as you.”

“Sure you can!” Baekho said.

“No, we can’t. Even though I can dance, Mihi isn’t as flexible as me. Even though Mihi can rap, my tongue isn’t as fast as hers. Even though I can sing high notes, Mihi’s voice has a limit.” I said. “In many ways, you guys beat us.”

“That’s because you’re making it sound like that!” Baekho said. “Sure, we all can dance, but there’s no way Minhyun, Ren or Aron hyung can beat Jonghyun. Sure, we all, other than Jonghyun, can sing, but there’s no way Ren or Aron hyung can beat mine or Minhyun’s high notes. And only Jonghyun and Aron hyung can rap.”

“That’s because you’re also making it sound like that.” I said. “But whatever. You guys have a chance of debuting!”

“If we debut…there’s a lesser chance of you seeing us.” JR said. “There’s a lesser chance of you seeing Minhyun around.”

Everyone, other than Minhyun, stared at JR, dumbfounded.

Aron knocked on his head. “Is anyone in there? The MinRi thing was a fake, if I remember correctly.”

“I know. We all know. Minhyun, you also know, right?” JR asked. His emotionless expression was replaced by a smirk. I grabbed an earpiece making Minhyun sigh.

“So you’re also in this, Jonghyun.” He rather stated than asked, turning towards JR who shrugged a reply. “I swear, you guys are a pain in the .”

With that, he put his earpiece back on again.

JR was still smirking.

“The ?” Baekho and Aron echoed.

“Nothing. I just like taunting people who plays games with their noonas. Especially if I’m on the noona’s side.”

…seriously.

short, but here's an update.
after this, i'm nor sure when i'll be able to update. see, i need to give up my laptop if i want a new one.

wait, did i mention this before? o.o
oh well.
So...jr knows! he's on eunbi's side, i jsut couldn't contain myself xD
anyways, like the poster? and the designer tsays that thats only ten minutes of work. worth appriciating, that ten minutes!
