Chapter 24

Sitting with some of her unnies, Seohyun looked on happily from the shade as some of them played volleyball happily. “Seohyun-ah! Seobaby is 5 months old already right?” Taeyeon asked as she put her head on Seohyun’s tummy, trying to hear something out of it. “Yes unnie, time flies right?” Seohyun chuckled. “I can’t wait to for this baby to be born! I want to be his/her godmother!” Taeyeon said. “All unnies will be my baby’s godmother then. He/She will be so lucky to have you guys..” She smiled. “Maybe your kid can be a couple with Fany’s!” Taeyeon suggested excitedly.

“Well I don’t mind having Seohyun as my child’s in-laws! At least I know my kid is in good hands.” Tiffany joked. Seohyun smiled at her unnies childishness. Kyuhyun on the other hand, constantly look over to Seohyun. He wanted to ensure she’s got everything she needs. “Yah Kyuhyun-ah! Look out!” Donghae said in frustration. “Yah! Our team is going to lose because of you!” Sungmin yelled. “Aish...it’s just a game hyung!” Kyuhyun groaned. “Go sit beside your wife if you can’t concentrate!” Donghae mocked. Kyuhyun pouted and walked towards his wife. “Seo~” He said as he took his seat beside her. “What are you doing here? Are you pregnant?” Taeyeon said staring at Kyuhyun. “I’m here to accompany my wife. Why? You jealous Leeteuk-hyung isn’t as caring as me?” Kyuhyun flashed his infamous grin. “Yah! This boy! Seohyun-ah, are you sure you married a man? I think his mentality is the same as a 12 year old kid!” A speechless Taeyeon said as she rubbed her temples while laughing.

“Yeah..sometimes I myself wondered if I married the right guy.” Seohyun admitted while glancing at Kyuhyun. “Well this is probably why you two are so matching, a childish man and a calm woman.” Tiffany joined in. “Unnie...it can be quite a big headache to have a kid as a husband. You can never understand that since Siwon-oppa is so manly.” Seohyun joked. “Yah Seo Joohyun! You should promote your husband to others! Only compare the pros and refrain from mentioning the cons!” Kyuhyun whispered loudly.

After a few hours, they went back to their rooms to clean up before meeting up for dinner. Dressing beautifully, they had their barbeque along the beach. Jazz music playing, the guys barbequing the food while talking, while the ladies chat their night away. It was a sight to see. They definitely enjoyed their catch up sessions.

Just then, a lady tapped Changmin on his back. He turned around and got a shock, then immediately dragged her to a side. “Yah Lee Yeonhee, what are you doing here!?” Yeonhee smiled and replied, “Your father asked me to come over, there’s some important documents that requires your verification.”

“Quit lying, he could verify them himself. Now tell me what’s your motive.” He hissed. “Well, there’s nothing to hide anyway. Yes, I’m here because your father forced me to. He said spending quality time together could bring us closer. And since I’m very free, why not?” She smiled slyly. “Yah! I’m with my friends, don’t be a nuisance. I need my own privacy too. You better leave now.” He said in frustration. Before Yeonhee could reply, Seohyun walked over to ask what happened. “Changmin-oppa, is this your friend?” Seohyun asked cheerfully. “N-no. She’s my secretary.” He replied nervously. “Why not ask her to join us, since she’s already here. Hi my name is Seohyun!” She held her hand out to Yeonhee. “Hi I’m Yeonhee, I guess I’m your unnie then? I’m the same age as Changmin.” Yeonhee replied. “Yeonhee-unnie, it’s nice to meet you. Come on and join us, we’ve got lots of food over there. You must be hungry from travelling here right?” Seohyun said as she held her hands and led her over to the tent. Changmin was speechless. He was pissed with his dad’s decisions but he had no ways of protesting since Seohyun invited her to join them.

“Unnie! Meet Yeonhee-unnie! She’s Changmin-oppa’s friend!” The others greeted Yeonhee cheerfully and Yeonhee was touched by their friendliness. ‘So this is how it feels to have such a great bunch of friends.’ She thought to herself. Being brought up in the States since she was 12, it was hard for her to blend into their culture, furthermore making friends. “Yeonhee-ah, don’t be shy! Everyone here is approachable!” Taeyeon said as she grinned.

“Thank you everyone, I really appreciate your friendliness.” Yeonhee suddenly said. “You know, it’s been so long since I’ve truly have friends that welcomes me with such open arms.” She managed to keep in the tears that almost fell. “Don’t worry, if you need help, don’t hesitate to approach us!” Tiffany assured as she pat on her shoulders. Changmin sat at a corner frowning at the sight. “A penny for your thoughts?” Kyuhyun said as he walked over, handing Changmin a piece of meat. “I really don’t understand my dad. Is he really that desperate for me to get married. I mean, look at this, he even made her travel all the way here to join me.” He sulked. “Why not try to accept her, she seemed like a good girl after all. And the girls like her as well.” Kyuhyun said. “That’s not the point, I have no feelings for her. How am I supposed to treat her well?” Changmin confessed. “Take it easy man, try to get to know her. Maybe something about her will attract you.” Kyuhyun said.

“Aish whatever. My holiday mood is totally ruined all thanks to her.” Changmin sighed.
