Prompt 9: Parallels

Couple(s): Seohyun/Kyuhyun [SeoKyu]

Warning(s): Be prepared for the massive, incoherent fluff.

Seohyun knew that she and Kyuhyun weren't alike. No, they most certainly were not alike, and there was no denying it. It was so blaringly obvious, to be very truthful.

Kyuhyun was a man who was rather playful with his hyungs, as well as his dongsaengs, and most certainly this bordered on rude. He was even disrespectful at times, and was known to speak his mind about things and be overly blunt. There were times when he was also rather secretive, keeping things to himself.

Seohyun was woman who was playful with her unnies, but with her oppas and dongsaengs she was a bit more detached and shy; she didn't really goof off at all, however. She was never rude or disrespectful, for she didn't wish to cause anyone harm or make them angry. She usually never strayed away from her unnies' sides, especially around unfamiliar company.

They were both maknaes in their groups, and kept to themselves at times, sure, but there wasn't much to say about them when it came to how similar they were, for they honestly weren't.

Thus, it was rather surprising that they were, well, a couple. Together romantically. Very much in love.

Their relationship was declared an odd one, Seohyun knew. Everyone who knew of them, like SNSD and Super Junior, thought it was a bit surprising, but understood either way that Kyuhyun was much more tame around Seohyun, and Seohyun was much more shy. Super Junior and SNSD found them a rather cute pairing, even though Kyuhyun liked to insist that they weren't cute at all, though he was normally blushing as he said so, not being able to look anyone properly in the eye.

Seohyun found it cute, though she didn't tell him, of course. She knew he wouldn't like it; and, even if he did, she wouldn't be able to get it past her lips. She'd probably be too busy stuttering and stammering.

They weren't parallels; not really a match, or equal, or anything of that sort. And yet...they still managed to work so well. They may get into fights, but only over small, insignificant things, and the fights were simply light-hearted, and over rather quickly. Kyuhyun tended to give in easily, and Seohyun usually dropped the matter altogether if she thought that the fight was bothering Kyuhyun in any way.

But this didn't matter.

Nor did it matter if Kyuhyun didn't share his feelings, because Seohyun could be sort of the same at times, however the two of them understood one another very well, having known each other for quite some time. They may be new when it comes to being in love, and being in a relationship, but they loved one another very much, and were dedicated to one another. Unwilling to allow anyone or anything to come in between the two of them.

Of course, they had to keep their relationship a secret from the media, something which Seohyun wasn't too happy about, for she hated not being able to say that she was in a relationship, and she hated lying to her fans even more. However, there was nothing else she could do. She knew that SM Entertainment wouldn't allow them to be together if she did something stupid like confirming the rumours that "SeoKyu" was real, and this was something Seohyun feared: not being able to be with Kyuhyun was a thing of nightmares.

She'd rather lie to the whole world, repeatedly, than be torn apart from Kyuhyun. And she was sure that Kyuhyun felt the same. She could see it, clearly, in his eyes. Every time he looked at her, or smiled at her, or kissed her gently, or touched her arm lightly, or grasped her hand as they sang together with their eyes trained on one another and nothing else. She was sure because she knew what she felt every time he placed his arm around her waist, or when he told her she looked beautiful, or when he glanced at her from the corner of his eye when he thought she wasn't looking was love. It had to be.

Seohyun wouldn't stand anything less from Kyuhyun; would die if what they had was anything less.

For Kyuhyun was hers, and Seohyun was his, and that was how things were always meant to be, so that was how things would always be.
