"Taeyeon Unnie!!!" a dolphin-like scream reached Taeyeon's hearing.

 

She smiles, knowing exactly who the owner of that voice was.

 

Frowning, she looked around the airport, looking for her childhood friend when suddenly someone jumped on her from the back and hugged her tight.

 

"Err-- Sica'chu?" she turned her head and looked at the blonde-haired girl who was clinging to her like a koala.

 

Jessica jumped back on her feet and turned Taeyeon to face her. She happily showered kisses around Taeyeon's face to show how much she misses the girl.

 

"Yah! Sica'chu..." Taeyeon giggled, gently pushing Jessica away. "You missed me that much?" she teased in Korean dialect.

 

Jessica smiled and pecked Taeyeon's nose for the last time.

 

"Ofcourse, I miss my favorite Unnie so much" she replied in the same dialect since she knows that Taeyeon wasn't educated enough in speaking and understanding English.

 

Taeyeon smiled back as she ruffled Jessica's blonde hair.

 

"It's been a while..."

 

"Yeah" Jessica nodded as she snatched one of Taeyeon's luggages and led her out of the airport. "Come unnie. My driver was waiting for us outside"

 

Taeyeon followed Jessica out of the airport and they stopped right in front of Jessica's car. The driver helped them put Taeyeon's luggages in the compartment before they finally pulled out of the road.

 

"I'm glad Auntie Kim let you study here in U.S, unnie" Jessica started the conversation. The duo was sitting in the car's back seat.

 

Taeyeon smirked. "Correction. She forced me to study here. If I have a choice, I'll rather study in Seoul University. But you know mom, there's no way she'll listen to me"

 

"Your mom never changes. She still controls your life"

 

"Yeah..." Taeyeon sighed. "You? You've been here for 7 years right?"

 

"7 years and 8 months to be exact unnie" Jessica giggled.

 

"It's been so long. And you changed a lot..." Taeyeon stole a quick glance at Jessica and pinched her nose before she continued. "But you're still my caring and pretty little sweetheart"

 

Jessica scrunched her nose and pretends to pout.

 

"You used to tell me that I am the prettiest in your eyes, unnie. Do you hate my looks now?" she said in aegyo, twirling some strands of her wavy, blonde locks.

 

Taeyeon chuckled then ruffled the crown of Jessica's hair.

 

"Of course I don't hate it. You're still the prettiest in my eyes Sica'chu"

 

"Unnie..." Jessica whined. "Please just call me Jessica or Sica. I hate it when you treat me like a baby"

 

Taeyeon chuckled. "Okay. Okay. I'm sorry. I forgot that you are 17 now. You're a grown up lady" she said understandingly.

 

Jessica blushed a bit. "Yeah. I'm a lady now, unnie"

 

"Oh. Here's the deal... I won't call you Sica'chu anymore if you will instead call me by my name. I'm just older than you by a year. You make me feel so old" Taeyeon complained.

 

"T-taeyeon.. Is that okay unnie?--err-- I mean, Taeyeon?"

 

Taeyeon giggled and nodded before turning her head to look at the car's window.

 

"By the way, where are we going now? I'm not familiar here"

 

"I want to tour you around Massachusetts, T-taeyeon ah"

 

"Umm... I don't think that's a good idea Sica. I'm still feeling dizzy. You know jetlag. Maybe tomorrow? For the mean time, can you give me a drive at the school's dorm?"

 

"Oh. I forgot" Jessica bit her lip. "The classes will start on Monday, which is two days from now and the dorms will be available at the same day. They don't allow students to stay at the dorm until the first day of class. So... you can stay with me and Dad until Monday"

 

Taeyeon shook her head. "Hmm... I want to stay somewhere else"

 

Jessica pouted. "You don't want to stay with me unni--err Taeyeon? We need a lot of catching up to do, right?"

 

"Cutie..." Taeyeon pinched Jessica's cheeks. "I would want to stay with you. But you know me. I want some new experiences now that I'm far away from Mom's claws" she chuckled. "I want to try staying in a Motel"

 

Jessica's eyes widened. "Motel??" she asked incredulously.

 

Taeyeon chuckled. "Yep. For something new, you know. I never experience staying in a Motel and I never got a chance to see what a Motel room looks like, so yeah. I wanna try"

 

"But Taeyeon, what if Auntie Kim finds out that I let you stay in a Motel? She'll be mad. She asked me and Dad to guide you here. To keep an eye on you"

 

"Let her be. I don't care" she replied while her eyes were still on the window. She smiles when she finally saw an obviously economical Motel building.

 

"Tell the driver to stop here Sica"

 

Jessica sighed in defeat.

 

"Stop here" she commanded the driver in English.

 

The driver obeyed and parked the car in front of the building.

 

"Taeyeon--"

 

"Sica... I will be fine here. Trust me" she said and winked before stepping off the car.

 

Jessica was blushing as she followed Taeyeon.

 

The driver pulled out Taeyeon's luggages from the compartment.

 

"Taeyeon--"

 

"Visit me here tomorrow Sica, then tour me around Chames University, is that okay?"

 

"Can we instead do that in the next day, Taeyeon? Tomorrow is my birthday..." Jessica said in a faint tone, slightly lowering her head.

 

Taeyeon's eyes widened before she smacked her own forehead.

 

"Pabo!" she hissed, giving herself a mental punch. "I'm sorry Sica. I forgot..."

 

"It's okay..." Jessica smiled. "But I'm expecting you tomorrow, okay? Dad prepared a party for me and I know most of the visitors will be his colleagues. I need someone to talk to..."

 

"Promise. I will be there" Taeyeon assured.

 

"Arasso. See you tomorrow..." she said and turned to her driver. "Help her get that in"

 

The driver nodded and obeyed, picking up Taeyeon's luggages and bringing it inside the Motel building with Taeyeon following along.

 

"Oh wait Taeyeon..."

 

Taeyeon turned around to face Jessica. "Ne?"

 

Jessica drew a cellphone from her pocket. She handed it to Taeyeon.

 

"What's this?" Taeyeon accepted it, frowning.

 

"A cellphone..." Jessica giggled.

 

Taeyeon stuck her tongue out.

 

"Silly. Of course I know. Why are you giving me this?"

 

"Use that while you don't have a phone here. Just in case you need something, just call me. My number is already there"

 

Taeyeon beamed then nodded. "My thoughtful sweetheart. Thank you"

 

Jessica blushed. "You’re welcome Taeyeon..."
