Prologue:

The place is quiet as I scan the whole place with my eyes. There’re just vacant tables and empty chairs, waiting to be seated.

Obviously, no one’s inside except for me. I glance at my watch as I pout in discontent. Well, this’s what I get for working in the late night shift.

Bored, I swiftly grab the remote control and turn the television on. Suddenly, my eyes widen when I see a very familiar figure on the screen of the small rectangular box not far at the corner of the place.

‘So, Yonghwa-shi. Let me ask you. Sincerely, is something going on between you and her?’ The MC wiggles his brows, excited for an answer.

‘Well, I can say that we’re stepping into a new phase of our relationship.’ His face’s all red.

‘Wow! For the first time ever here, yoreobun! They’re officially a couple!’

I quickly turn the TV off, not willing to hear anything anymore. No wonder he didn’t reply my text or called me since these past few weeks.

I know this day will come. Stupid am I for still hoping for him. Well, he could at least tell me in person, eye to eye. Not like this. This hurt more than that. I feel suffocating., like my chest's became smaller and narrower on each breath that I take.

 My vision’s getting blurry as my eyes brim with tears. I squeeze the remote control in my hands tight. Silently, I cried.
