She turned around to face me, and I literally felt my heart stop beating.

Hye Mi, my Hye Mi.

She was still as beautiful as before, but something about her eyes made me know immediately that she wasn’t happy.

Why? After all of these years, I had thought I was the only one suffering. I hoped that I was the only that was suffering.

Seeing her so worn out, tired, and unhappy made my heart clench in anger.

“Why?” I managed to croak out; she was frozen there, unable to move, “Why did you not want me?”

“Umma?” I heard the little girl said as she tugged on Hye Mi’s jeans, “Who is this man?”

So she is married…?

“I’m sorry, but you must have the wrong person,” she said and she turned away from me. I grabbed her arm, “No, I’m not mistaken, it is you.”

“Hye Mi, it’s you.”

“I’m sorry, but you must be mistaken.”

She picked up the little girl and started walking very fast away from me.

I clenched and unclenched my fists, knowing that she was lying.

It was her.

But why didn’t she want me anymore?

 

Sadly, the story is coming to an end~! T_T
